Chapter 7

When Sang Li went out to buy in the morning, she saw another neighbor.

The town is located in a remote place, with high trees in front of the house, and branches and leaves cover the scorching sun and pouring shade. A rope is pulled between the two trees, and the neighbor is drying clothes.

If Cao Yingxiu hadn't said that this man was nearly thirty years old, Sang Li wouldn't have seen it. He was wearing a blue shirt, tall and upright, handsome, and had a gentle temperament all over his body. He looked like a person who was well-read in poetry and books.

Sang Li smiled and wanted to say hello, but after hanging her clothes, the man went back to the room without looking sideways, leaving her embarrassedly touching her raised hand on her hair.

It seems that this neighbor is not easy to get along with.

Sang Li only regarded this as an episode and soon went to the market to buy it.

There are several small villages near the town, and many people come to the market early with loads, and vendors come to grab seats before dawn.

The wide stone road I saw when I came yesterday is now crowded with people.

Sang Li thought that Qu Qingmian’s life was too hard before and it was difficult to have a good meal. Now he is at the age of growing up, so he must keep up with his nutrition.

I picked the freshest vegetables and fish and shrimps, bought some pork, and bought a basket of eggs in full Dangdang.

Seeing that the Yinqian family was about to come to an end, Sang Li carefully selected the ingredients and tools that planned to make fruit fish and ice cream.

I picked and bought some, but thought that the house would be clean today, and there was nothing empty except for the old tables and chairs. There were also dirt or cracks left by time in some places on the walls, so she planned to decorate it a little.

Sang Lizai carefully searched for a small street market.

Qu Qingmian was left at home.

At first he sat there indifferently, but not long after, his eyes began to turn to the small yard, watching the sunshine climb inch by inch.

She hasn't come back yet.

Qu Qingmian stood up and looked at him, then simply opened the door and went to the market.

The morning session is over one after another, and the crowd leaves in groups, no longer crowded, so it is not difficult to find someone.

Along a distance, Qu Qingmian paused and looked through the pedestrians coming and going, and saw Sang Li at first glance.

She had a smile on her face, her eyes were curved, her cheeks were slightly bulging, and her lotus-colored dress made her skin look snow-white. The sunlight shone on her, which was fresh and vivid, as if all the light in the crowd was gathered on her.

She carried a large bamboo basket on her back and put everything in her purchases. She was almost filled with her. She was carrying a small basket of eggs in her hand, making her look even thinner under the weight.

Qu Qingmian took a step forward and then retreated. When she wanted to turn around, she waved her hand in surprise, "Xiaomian!"

Sang Li bought a few beautiful and cheap calligraphy and paintings, put them in the bamboo basket behind her and turned her head, and saw the boy standing not far away. He was clearly in the sun, but he was as cold as a shadow, unable to penetrate the light.

Seeing that he was about to leave, Sang Li quickly ran over, "Xiaomian, are you here to find me?"

The boy's dark eyes were cold, "No."

Sang Li laughed in his heart. He was a little awkward and made another move. "Since you happen to be here, let's go shopping with me."

Qu Qingmian refused: "I want to go back."

Sang Li seemed to have not heard it, and her eyes were attracted by the small vendor beside her.

There are ceramic painted dolls on it, basically in groups of two to three, and their movements and expressions are vivid.

She looked at a doll placed on the right side. She had white porcelain, small face, dark pupils, and red lips. She had a cold curve, delicate, and a bit awkward and cold.

Sang Li smiled suddenly, stuffed the small basket with eggs in her hand into Qu Qingmian's arms, picked up the doll and held it in front of him, "Xiaomian, look! Does this little boy look very much like you?"

"I'm going to buy it."

The stall was an old man with half-white hair. He smiled and handed over another doll, "Girl, my dolls are sold in groups, and these two are in groups, and there is no way to sell them alone."

Another doll is a girl, with big eyes and a lively red twin-breasted shirt, holding a full lotus pod in her hand.

Sang Li took it and put it on his cheek to show him, "Is this a bit like me?"

Qu Qingmian was silent.

Sang Li didn't care either, she just liked it the more she looked at it, and happily bought it.

When I went back, I saw the neighbor I met when I went out. He was chopping firewood at the door.

Sang Li did not say hello rashly this time.

Although friendly and enthusiastic among neighbors is a politeness, if the other party doesn’t like to be disturbed, then putting away the enthusiasm is a politeness.

However, unexpectedly, the man's eyes fell on Qu Qingmian for a moment, and he stood up, "Yan Qiuyuan."

Sang Li was stunned for a moment before she realized that she was saying hello, right?

She was a little confused about the neighbor's temper, and she had just told her and Qu Qingmian's name in a normal manner, even if she had said hello.

Yan Qiuyuan didn't ask anything, just nodded, "Qu Qingmian, a very good name. Seeing him is like seeing his former self. If you need any help in the future, you can find me."

Sang Li didn't know how to answer for a moment, so she just responded politely, and the other party stopped talking and continued to bend down to chop firewood.

She looked at Yan Qiuyuan, who was gentle and well-educated, and then at Qu Qingmian, who was indifferent and quiet. Anyway, she didn't see any similarities between the two. If she really wanted to say it, it might be that they didn't like to talk.

After washing and drying, it took another two hours of hygiene. The small house was completely cleaned. Sang Li stood in the small yard, rolling up her sleeves and was full of energy. "The vine should have been planted by the owner of the house. I have looked carefully. Although the leaves have mostly died, they still have small green grapes. Since it has survived tenaciously, let's build a grape rack."

"I also want to plant flowers and bloom all over the eaves of the walls."

Qu Qingmian didn't speak, but he had already imagined how vibrant the still-desolate yard would become in one or two months.

However, whether it is building grape racks or planting flowers, Sangli has no experience, so she plans to ask her neighbors for advice.

But strangely, compared to Cao Yingxiu, who was proactive and enthusiastic, she inexplicably felt that it was more reliable to ask Yan Qiuyuan for advice.

Sometimes people's intuition seems to be so unreasonable.

Sang Li took some fresh fruits bought in the morning market and asked Yan Qiuyuan for advice. He was very straightforward and took her and Qu Qingmian to the woods near the town.

The Yao River flows across the river, with green mountains and waters. A simple wooden bridge connects the river bank.

There was a small boat swaying and the water surface was clear and reflected by flowing clouds. Sang Li was bored and had a good time playing with water. Looking back, Yan Qiuyuan was cutting down suitable wood while explaining to Qu Qingmian.

Sang Li originally wanted to ask for a method and did it himself, but Yan Qiuyuan insisted that Qu Qingmian should do such a thing.

Because of her deep compensatory mentality, she wanted to take care of Qu Qingmian. She would do it for herself, but she didn't expect that she was in trouble and had to run to the river to see the scenery and play with the water.

With the cut and treated wood back, Yan Qiuyuan was responsible for teaching, and Qu Qingmian started to practice. When Sangli was preparing a tea and fruit tray, most of the grape trellis was set up in a simple and fast manner.

At this time, Yan Qiuyuan taught Sangli the experience of planting balls and roses. He didn't talk much, but he was full of dry goods. After listening to it, Sangli immediately wanted to pick up a small shovel and use his knowledge to practice.

Yan Qiuyuan finished teaching and did not stay for a moment. Sang Li also understood that there was no need to be polite to him, so he just invited him sincerely, "Thank you, Brother Yan, come here for dinner tonight, Aunt Cao next door is here too."

He nodded, "Okay."

When Yan Qiuyuan returned, Sang Li began to plant flowers along the wall.

Compared to the impression that it was difficult to get along with in the morning, she thought that Yan Qiuyuan was always introverted and taciturn and had little contact with neighbors, so Cao Yingxiu gave her a reminder to pay attention.

Sang Li has little experience, but she is sensitive and thinks that Yan Qiuyuan is not bad. The most important thing is that she feels the concern he contains when he sees Xiaomian, just like seeing her former self.

If someone is willing to treat Xiaomian well, it means that the world has more kindness to him. Sang Li sincerely hopes that there are more people like this, and there is more hope to pull him out of the quagmire of the past.

Sang Li picked up a lot of beautiful pebbles and embed the mud in the small yard into beautiful shapes.

After the yard was initially decorated, she started to work in the house again, bringing all the things she bought in the morning market to use.

I carefully selected the vases I bought and put them in trimmed flowers, put them on the table with simple and exquisite shapes of oil lamps, and a new bronze mirror with lotus patterns in the bedroom, and the pair of ceramic dolls that Sang Li especially liked.

The last thing left are several ink paintings that are ready to block the dirty and cracks on the wall.

Sang Li was not tall, over 1.6 meters tall. He looked up at the slightly tall dirty marks. He brought a chair and found that it was still a bit short of it even if he stood on tiptoe.

As soon as Qu Qingmian entered the room from the yard, he saw a figure who stretched out his arms and raised his head, standing on a chair and still dared to cushion his feet. He moved his mouth and swallowed the words without waiting for his voice.

If she falls, she will fall. So what if she breaks her head? He should be happy when he sees it.

Sang Li remembered that there was a small stool in the kitchen, which was put on a chair. It would be enough to add that little height. She was about to jump down, but the chair swayed unexpectedly.

The tables and chairs in the house were all old, and Sang Li had not started making money yet. Thinking that it could still be used, it would take a while to use it.

But I didn't expect that this would be used, and it was really a problem and was not strong.

Sang Li lost the center of gravity while the chair was caught off guard, and she fell backward without control.

My heart shrank suddenly, and I screamed in fear.
