Chapter 1328 Awakening(2/3)

"So the wind on the sea has stopped." Julian analyzed the weather conditions reported by Weihan to his advantage.

"Victor, you should also take a rest." Phil, who was still writing letters under the oil lamp, said, "I will stay overnight."

"Then I'll trouble you."

As he spoke, Wei Ran took off his boots and climbed to the upper bunk above Heidi's head. While lying down, he said, "If that lady or the Jew wakes up, remember to wake me up."

"I'll wake you up then."

Phil made the promise without raising his head, and then said in Latin, "Mr. Julian, you should also take a rest. This will help your wound heal."

"I'll sleep when I'm sleepy," Yuri agreed absentmindedly.

Seeing this, Phil didn't say anything more. He got up and climbed to Julian's upper bunk, leaning against the wall and continuing to write a letter from home that he didn't know if he would have a chance to use.

That night, Wei Ran didn't sleep very soundly, because not long after he fell asleep, the buoy began to shake more and more violently.

In a daze, Wei Ran opened his eyes, and then found that Phil on the upper bunk opposite him was already asleep, but Julian on the lower bunk was holding the pen belonging to Wei Ran with his uninjured left hand.

Something was scrawled on the loose-leaf telegraph book.

Seeing this, Wei Ran smiled and glanced at the watch hung by his bedside, and then closed his eyes in relief. It was only around four in the morning, and it was still early before dawn.

Almost as soon as he fell asleep again, Julian put the cap on the pen, then carefully tore off the two telegraph newspapers full of words, and then took out a glass bottle with sugar from under the pillow.

, and stuffed the letter into it.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! After thinking for a moment, he picked up the pen again, wrote something on the telegraph paper, tore it off again, folded it in half, and stuffed it into a long paper together with the sugar bowl.

He put his sleeve flying gloves under the pillow again, lay down again and stared at the kerosene lamp above his head, at Heidi lying on the bed opposite, and then at the Weiyan diagonally above and the hammock lying in the distance.

Inside, he followed Spear, who was rocking back and forth without knowing whether he was alive or dead.

In Julian's long silence, time passed by minute by minute, but the rescue buoy was shaking more and more violently. Even if he was hiding inside, he could clearly hear the scary sound of waves outside.

Under the noise, Wei Ran was woken up first, followed by Phil.

"Now that you're awake, let's get some food." Julian, who seemed to have been up all night, said, "It's time to have breakfast now."

Picking up his watch and looking at it, Wei Ran couldn't help but nodded. Indeed, it was almost eight o'clock in the morning, almost nine o'clock.

"Let me prepare breakfast!" Phil volunteered.

"I'll do it"

Wei Ran couldn't trust the British cooking skills. "Phil, you are a pharmacist. Please help check the condition of the three wounded. Then you can go to the deck to take a look. I left the telescope and flare gun above my head last night."

It’s in the watchtower. Also, take all our wet clothes and hang them in the watchtower.”

"No problem!" Phil agreed happily. Naturally, he would not have any objections to Weiran's arrangements.

While Wei Ran relit the oil stove and used a small pot to heat the cans, Phil first examined Julian's wounds, and then examined Spear and Heidi one after another.

“They are all doing pretty well.”

Phil climbed up with the wet flight suit and said, "Mr. Julian's wound is not infected. The lady seems to have a cold. The color of the Jewish man's injured hand has also recovered, and his hand is saved."

.”

What bad news... Wei Ran muttered secretly, while not forgetting to pour some more water into the pot.

Before he could prepare breakfast, Phil, who had already climbed up to the watchtower, put his head in and shouted, "Gentlemen, there is bad news. The two bodies on the deck are missing."

"I knew it..."

Wei Ran muttered to himself while Phil switched to Latin and shouted the same content. He had already guessed that this kind of thing would happen.

This shouting did not cause much reaction from Julian and Wei Ran, but instead woke up Heidi who was lying on the bed.

"you're awake?"

Wei Ran greeted her warmly, and before she could ask any questions, he pointed to the hammock not far away and said proactively, "Your husband is still alive, but he hasn't woken up yet."

Hearing this, Heidi immediately lifted up the blanket and moved the still warm kettle behind her. She was about to get up. Then, as expected, her feet fell softly and she fell to the ground.

"Can you get up on your own?" Wei Ran asked while stirring the contents of the pot with a dinner spoon.

"I...I can"

Heidi gritted her teeth, stood up with difficulty, and staggered to the hammock while holding on to the bed and glanced at Spear, who was still unconscious.

"Thank you, thank you for saving me and Spear." Heidi said gratefully.

"Sit down first"

Wei Ran smiled at the other party, "What's your name?"

"Heidi, Heidi Binoche"

While answering Wei Ran's question, Heidi looked at the surrounding environment, and as expected, was startled when she saw Julian in a Luftwaffe uniform.

"We have temporarily reached an armistice agreement with the German pilot Mr. Julian."

Wei Ran pointed to the map pinned on the cabinet not far away with the spoon in his hand, "The specific agreement is there, you can go and take a look."

Hearing this, Heidi hesitated for a moment and then walked over. After some reading, she felt visibly relieved.

"Heidi, are you French?" Wei Ran asked casually.

"right"

Heidi nodded, "My husband Spear and I are both French, and we are planning to cross the Channel and flee to England. Sir, what do you call us?"

"Victor"

Wei Ran enthusiastically introduced, "There is another person on the deck above me, my navigator Phil. He and I are both British bomber pilots."

"How far is it from England?" Heidi asked.

"Sorry, we don't know either." Wei Ran spread his hands, "There is also bad news. Your and Mr. Spear's inflatable raft was lost by the waves."

Hearing this, Heidi's face turned pale, and she sat down on the bed again in a panic. Then she picked up a kettle, unscrewed the lid and drank a lot.

"How did you escape from France?" Wei Ran asked casually, "Were it just the two of you?"

After saying this, two tears streaked across Heidi's cheeks. The girl said sadly, "There was originally my sister. We wore diving suits and went into the sea under the A River. Spear wanted to escape this time.

It took a long time to prepare, but my sister was still killed by those damn Najib grenades."

Hearing this, Wei Ran opened his mouth, and just when he was about to reveal something seemingly unintentionally, the warning high-temperature burning sensation on his left hand made him wisely close his mouth.

"Maybe your sister is still alive."

Wei Ran said something that sounded like comfort, "The power of the grenade will be much reduced if it is thrown in the river. If you are lucky, it will not be fatal."

"Really?!" Heidi asked excitedly, as if grasping a life-saving straw.

"certainly"

Wei Ran responded matter-of-factly, and then changed the subject amidst the increasingly unbearable burning sensation in his left hand, "Madam, if it's convenient, how about you help me take out the tableware? It's in that cabinet.

inside."

"well!"

Heidi seemed to gain motivation again in an instant. She immediately stood up and walked to the cabinet pointed by Wei Ran. She first took out the three German army lunch boxes, then looked at Julian, and then took out the fourth lunch box together.

Passed it to Wei Ran.

"What did you say to this woman?" Julian asked in German.

"nothing"

Wei Ran said while putting food into the lunch box, "Her name is Heidi, and the Jew lying in the hammock is her husband Spear. They escaped from near the A River."

Taking the lunch box and a few biscuits stacked together from Wei Ran, Julian asked while eating, "Do they want to cross the strait? There is no difference between doing so in this season and committing suicide."

"You'll die if you stay, especially that Jew." Wei Ran replied simply, passing another lunch box and a few biscuits to Heidi.

"Sir, is there a bathroom here?" Heidi asked after taking the food.

"There is no bathroom here." Wei Ran pointed to the top of his head, "But you can go up there to solve the problem and call Phil down by the way."

Hearing this, Heidi nodded, placed the food on the table, carefully walked around the hammock, and climbed up the ladder to the buoy deck.

Soon after, Phil climbed down from above, took the food delivered by Wei Ran and said, "The wind and waves outside were too great. Not only were the bodies of Connor and the German navigator blown away by the waves, but also the

A lady and her husband’s inflatable raft is also missing, and of course, there’s good news.”

"What good news?"

Wei Ran served himself a portion of food, turned off the oil stove and sat beside Julian's bed and asked.

"The fog on the sea has been blown away temporarily. Although it is still cloudy, the visibility is very good."

Phil said while eating, "Unfortunately, I didn't see any planes or ships in my field of vision, let alone the coastline."

"So we have no idea where it drifted to?" Wei Ran asked after translating Phil's words into German.

"If I can see the stars at night, I might be able to calculate the approximate location."

Phil said confidently, "I learned how to make a simple sextant when I was training as a navigator."

"I hope the weather will be nice tonight"
