Chapter Three Hundred and Twenty The Most Bullshit Lay(1/2)

Chapter 320 The Most Awesome Layman

"What's going on?" Ji Ying and Ma Zhongfu opened their mouths and looked at the word Buddha on the platform, and then looked at the huge curtain in the air and asked in confusion.

Even Han Qi did not reveal the truth to him, let alone the two fortune-tellers. Fu Bi smiled and said, "Ji fortune-tellers, Ma fortune-tellers, you should think that the Buddha is blessing Zheng Xingzhi."

But Fu Bi knew the truth. When Zheng Lang was designing it, he designed a lotus flower. The word "Golden Buddha" was a preparatory plan. Finally, after repeated experiments, the lotus flower was overturned because the lotus had to overlap layer by layer. It was not done, so he finally chose the word "Golden Buddha". As for the others, there were no changes.

However, the lotus can be displayed on the giant curtain. The giant curtain has been straightened and you can see its entire appearance. The upper part is golden, but you can vaguely see four diamonds flashing in the golden part. The moonlight is hazy and pleasant. In fact, under this moonlight, you may see more clearly near it, but looking far away, it seems like flowers in fog, looking at the moon in the water, and sometimes surrounded by mist from time to time. Although it is above the mountain, it is not very real.

However, when you get close, you can still see the flashing of the four great kings, but this adds a sense of mystery.

Below is a white curtain. There is a little light on the white curtain first, and the light gradually becomes bigger, and then a lotus seat appears. The effect quality of the picture is very poor, but it is enough for this era.

Seeing the blurry lotus slowly moving and blooming on the curtain, many faithful Buddhists burst into tears and bowed to the ground together.

Ma Zhongfu grabbed Zheng Lang's hand and said, "Prince Zheng, please tell me!"

"If there is light, there will be light."

"Can you explain it clearly?" Ma Zhongfu said again. Although he is a Confucian scholar, he also believes in Buddhism. If he had not known some of Zheng Lang's background, he would have almost worshipped the earth like the people just now.

Zheng Lang attached to Ma Zhongfu's ear and said, "There is nothing else, the battle is a battle of faith."

Not the answer yet, Ma Zhongfu still refused to let go.

"Your family has a wide range of connections. Although I will not tell the people about this, I will give His Majesty an explanation to the prime ministers, and you can ask them."

Although it seems possible to get a leader, it seems to be fun.

Don't take it seriously. If you really become the leader and the saint, Zhao Zhen will be very embarrassed, and the literati will also feel uncomfortable. This is also the origin of the ruler's great ban on people and not the living person. Guan Yu could praise him as a god or a martial god in the Song Dynasty, but he could not tolerate Di Qing as the prime minister of the Eastern Palace, even if the Song Dynasty system decides that the prime minister will be mobilized again after not long. Therefore, don't think that Zhao Zhen is easy to talk to, and he is an orthodox literati, and this degree must be grasped. Otherwise, if you really want to be the leader, even if you have a good temper, Zhao Zhen will also kill himself.

It is easy to say that Fu Bi went back and wrote the past and the magical principles of the past and these few times in the memorials, so that Fu Bi would take them back. It is estimated that the Chongyang Buddhist Association had already been passed to the capital at that time, and some scholars and officials would not be able to bear it and wrote letters to advise. He told several prime ministers and told Zhao Zhen whether they would announce the truth to the public and let them make a decision.

Anyway, as soon as the memorial is released, some people's doubts will be completely eliminated.

This should be paid attention to.

In fact, some people have begun to give advice.

Double Ninth Festival is the largest festival in the Song Dynasty in autumn. The Mid-Autumn Festival begins, but it is still not grand. The Double Ninth Festival is the Double Ninth Festival. In addition to the habit of climbing high places, inserting dogwood, enjoying chrysanthemums, and eating Double Ninth cakes, occasionally lights the lanterns in the palace on the eighth day of the September lunar month, and the first day is set as the Little Double Ninth Festival. In fact, the Double Ninth Festival has changed from one day to three days.

Zhao Zhen set up a chrysanthemum wine banquet in the palace.

Usually, people in the Song Dynasty also prepared dogwood wine and chrysanthemum wine for the Double Ninth Festival. Dogwood is used to ward off evil and chrysanthemums are long-lived guests. These two things are taken to eliminate the disasters of yang. Therefore, when chrysanthemums are in full bloom and dogwood is lush, pick the stems and leaves, mix wheat rice to make wine, and seal them indoors. The Double Ninth Festival is cooked next year. It not only has the meaning of ward off evil and long-lived, but also prevents various diseases, such as chrysanthemum wine to treat head wind.

It was originally a normal banquet. Zhao Zhen treated the scholars and officials with preferential treatment. Not only did they last night, but they often invited ministers to banquets in the palace. At first, no one expected that, halfway through the banquet, Zhao Zhen suddenly asked: "My dear friends, what do you think of Buddhism and the monks in the temple?"

In just one sentence, the people below were silent.

But before Zhao Zhen asked a question, someone had already advised him.

The three imperial envoys returned to the capital at a very fast speed. Wang Gongchen was better, Han Qi delayed for a long time and had to arrive in Lizhou to recover the disaster, so he had to be quick. When he arrived in the capital, Zhao Zhen met three people and mainly asked about the case.

After asking, Han Qi said a few things.

The first thing is that the South China Sea is long and several large copper mines have been found. They cannot be ignored, but if they want to operate, they must set up supply points. It is not proposed for overseas territories, but they have some ideas about expanding territories, and the monarchs and ministers. However, the "ancestor system" destined to be restrained in the Song Dynasty. This has nothing to do with expanding territories, but to manage several minerals.

When the war came, the Song Dynasty lacked everything. It lacked elite soldiers, strong generals, money and silk, weapons, and gold, silver, copper and iron, especially copper. If there was enough copper, it was not only wealth itself, but also used to mint coins. Even Shi Jie knew what the meaning was.

Han Qi told the story and also said that Zheng Lang was worried about Mo Zhan, and he proposed to let the imperial guards be transferred out. Although the Northwest War began, everyone knew the combat effectiveness of the imperial guards in the capital. In the northwest, there were weak soldiers and generals in the northwest, but in the South China Sea islands, they were fierce tigers in dealing with those backward indigenous people. This is Han Qi's opinion, and he also said it directly.

Zhao Zhen pondered, but did not express his opinion for the time being. Please remember it when reading h-u-n to me

It's still early to do this. Now it's been discovered that a large amount of copper must be brought back next year before the final decision can be made.

Then Han Qi said another thing.

This incident was first proposed by Zhao Zhen and asked the reason why Yihe crossed the lake. Han Qi was very depressed. Finally, he said, "I don't know, but Fu Bi knows it." This is the real reason why Fu Bi was transferred back to the capital, and even Zheng Lang didn't expect it.

Then Han Qi talked about some bad deeds of unworthy Buddhist disciples who saw and heard. He made an admonition to control the number of monks and nuns, the number of temples, and the number of fields in various prefectures. He prohibited monks and nuns from issuing usury, merged the land, and made friends with powerful people. Monks and nuns did not impose taxes on vacancies but had to impose taxes on land, and prohibited monks from entering and leaving the women's office. Especially for this, he regarded himself as the most orthodox scholar-official, and could not tolerate it. Then he said some other admonitions. There were twelve items in total.

Better than Zheng Lang.

Zheng Lang "didn't expect" to use the power of the country to manage the supply points. Zheng Lang suppressed Buddhism only by one state and one prefecture, and he "didn't expect" the whole country.

Zhao Zhen was silent again.

Han Qi said again: "Your Majesty, how much tax does the country reduce the land occupied by the temple in one year? How much burden does the temple in one year increase the incense burden on the people?"

These two questions made Zhao Zhen’s face gloomy.

At this time, what the country needs most is money, not soldiers, but money can be rewarded. According to the population base of the Song Dynasty, there will be as many soldiers as the number of soldiers. When it comes to money, it is just a small number. As long as the number is large, no matter which minister has a little conscience, his eyes will be green. And for the people, Zhao Zhen may be the person who cares most among the monarchs and ministers in Jiangdong, no less than Fan Zhongyan in Jiangdong. Han Qi was not as good as Bao Zheng, Ouyang Xiu, Su Dongpo and others.

However, Zhao Zhen still kept silent.

I would like to thank all the ministers. When Zhao Zhen was in charge, all the ministers smoothed out Zhao Zhen's spirit. The advantage was that Zhao Zhen did not like to make trouble, so it was not the force of the Western Xia. It was possible that the Zhao Zhen Dynasty was the best time for the Song Dynasty. But the disadvantage was that he lacked sharpness in his work and was afraid of trouble. So later, when Song Shenzong saw the life of his uncle, he boldly made drastic moves. According to Zheng Lang's doctrine of the mean, he did everything imperfectly. This imperfection was precisely the spiritual change brought by their life.

This was rarely approved by Han Qi during this period. However, Han Qi was not angry. Compared with the previous letters, the two remarks were obviously more serious and implemented in specific practices. The nature was completely different. Take your time and leave the capital immediately and go to Lizhou.

Han Qi's advice still had some influence. Zhao Zhen has also been thinking repeatedly in the palace these days. Today, Zhao Zhen suddenly thought of Zheng Lang far away in Hangzhou.

As far away, Zhao Zhen gradually matured. The friendship became weaker as Zheng Lang expected, but this friendship still existed. Especially when many gentlemen attacked him, Zheng Lang took the blame for the world and sent people to the capital to specifically scold gentlemen such as Shi Jie, which moved Zhao Zhen very much.

Looking into the south, he was not as literary as the late emperor of the Southern Tang Dynasty, Emperor Huizong of Song, Emperor Yang of Sui and Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty, but he was not an emperor without wisdom. He knew how difficult it would be for Zheng Lang to distinguish Buddhism from monks as a Confucian scholar. He was a little worried, so he asked.

Some people have seen Zhao Zhen loosening this question. However, when the question was suddenly asked, no one still spoke. Even if they wanted to speak, they had to wait for the result of Hangzhou to distinguish the Buddha.

Distinguishing Buddha begins!

A big lotus flower bloomed, and Zheng Lang also walked out of the crowd.

Many people looked at Zheng Lang with awe.

Jiang Xing'er whispered in the crowd: "Xian'er, will the officials blaspheme the Buddha?"

She believed in Buddhism and knew Zheng Lang's arrangements, and she was always a little scared in her heart.

"It is not a blasphemy of the Buddha. The Buddha should thank the officials," Cui Xian replied in a low voice. She is smarter than Jiang Xing'er and thinks farther. Her husband's arrangement this time was not aimed at the Buddha, but at the unworthy disciples of various Buddhism. Even if there is a Buddha, he will not blame him.

However, Cui Xian had a headache when she thought about those Buddhist scriptures.

These methods of pretending to be a ghost are auxiliary means. Whether you can win depends on how many Buddhist scriptures your husband can read during this period. It is not to remember, but to understand them.

Zheng Lang had already walked to the small platform and sat calmly on the word "Big Buddha".

A monk rushed up and shouted, "What qualifications do you have to sit there?"

"Why am I not qualified?"

"You are not a monk!"

Most monks agree with this sentence, but some monks who are proficient in Buddhist scriptures frowned when they heard it. Sure enough, Zheng Lang said: "Monk, a child entered the temple and was eager to pee and was about to pee under the Buddha statue. When a monk saw it, he shouted, "Don't pee in a place with Buddha. The child asked back, "Master, where is there no Buddha? I urinate in a place without Buddha. Now I will ask you, where is there no Buddha, and where is it to sit."

"Good, good," Zheng Lang said with just one sentence, many monks had already let go of their thoughts of being prepared to distinguish Buddha and promote good deeds.

The monk was silent.

Zheng Lang also said: "Subhuti, if Bodhi has the appearance of self, human appearance, sentient beings, and longevity, he is not a Bodhisattva. What is the reason? Subhuti has no Dharma to develop the Anuttara Samyaksambodhi mind."

As he said that, he stood up, came to Yunruo, the abbot of Zhaoqing Temple, and touched the old monk's head, saying, "Everyone says you are a monk, but if you really think you are a monk, then you are not a monk."

This is a Zen opportunity.

The above sentence comes from the Diamond Sutra, saying that if a Bodhisattva is attached to the self-image, other-image, sentient beings, longevity, and longevity, he is not a true Bodhisattva. Why? Subhuti, in fact, there is no one who is called "the mind of seeking the supreme enlightenment".

It is difficult for ordinary people to understand. In a common saying, because Bodhisattvas are as ethereal, vast, and non-attached as Buddhas. Therefore, the true Bodhisattvas are those who have no self, no people, no sentient beings and no life. This is the basic doctrine of Buddhism. If you still love the name of a monk, how can you get a monk?

Mr. Yun Ruo’s forehead was touched by Zheng Lang dozens of times, but he still couldn’t speak.

And what he was most worried about was another thing. There was another sentence above this sentence: I should destroy all sentient beings, and all sentient beings have been destroyed, but there was no sentient being who died. This is the following sentence. This is a very contradictory sentence: I should destroy all sentient beings, but if all sentient beings are truly destroyed, then no sentient beings will be truly destroyed. But if this sentence is truly dissected, it will have a huge impact on the identification of Buddha in these three days.

Zheng Lang touched the old monk's head, which was very smooth and felt very good. The people next to him were dumbfounded. Zheng Lang whispered again: "Old monk, it's not bad. It's the first time I've been touching a big monk, and it's the emerald monk's head."

"you!"

He whispered again: "Old monk, I am not really destroying Buddha, I just restore the original appearance of Buddhism. Why do you come here to do this mixed water? Can you tell me about this curtain out of thin air? If Buddhism continues like this, can it still promote the true Buddhism."

Zheng Lang sent someone to conduct a secret investigation in advance. This old monk is still good. He usually has a thick coat and linen, and is easy to understand. If there are few real monks who can get to Zheng Lang's eyes, Yun Ruo is one of them. Xing'er and Si'er also went to Zhaoqing Temple to burn incense. They saw this old monk and admired him very much. So Zheng Lang made an inspiration.

"Don't you really want to destroy the Buddha?"

"What Buddha is destroyed?" Zheng Lang suddenly said loudly: "Buddha says that everyone has Buddha nature, everything is Buddha. Why? Buddha is the universe, Buddha is the ultimate principle of the movement of the universe. Stone is Buddha, the word Buddha on the platform is Buddha, you are Buddha, I am Buddha, Zoroastrianism is Buddha, and Confucianism is Buddha, so the Diamond Sutra says that all sages and sages are different by the law of inaction. If I understand the ultimate principle of heaven and earth through Confucianism, then I will also become a true Buddha. Of course, it is difficult. I am attached to appearances, and you are also attached to appearances. But I do not deliberately seek to become true Buddha, and the artistic conception is already higher than you. Go, if you come here today, at least you have delayed and misunderstood for several years of practice. If you continue to be obsessed with it, you will soon not be a monk and will gradually enter the path of devils."

Yun Ruo's face was unstable and suddenly said, "Good, good."

After reading it, he left without saying a word.

Many people were shocked that Yun Ruo was not as famous as Chong's reputation, but he was also a famous monk in Hangzhou. He actually left because of Zheng Lang's words, or because of Zheng Lang's head, he said.

Fu Bi sighed, looked at Zheng Langzheng returning to the platform not far away, shook his head and said, "Zheng Xingzhi, are you enlightening the devil or the Buddhist path?"

Xing'er opened her eyes wide and said in surprise: "Xian'er, is Zen Master Yunruo letting the officials enlighten him?"

"It's almost the same," Cui Xian pursed her red lips and laughed secretly, and her husband opened his head.

Zheng Lang sat cross-legged on the platform again and said loudly: "The Buddha said that everyone is a Buddha, but there is a difference between whether there is any enlightenment. I can sit here, you and he can sit on the word "Buddha". Dear monks, don't have any objections. If you have any objections, I will ask another question: I am not a monk and have not become a monk, but why are you a lay Buddhist?"

Some monks' faces changed again because they thought of a scripture.

Zheng Lang did not expect them to answer, saying, "According to Confucianism, lay people refer to people who are virtuous and talented but live in seclusion without or not. However, today I will not talk about Confucianism. If I follow this statement, I will not become a lay Buddhist. But when I come here, I am talking about Buddhism, so when I talk about Buddhist lay Buddhists, lay Buddhists in Buddhism refer to those who practice Buddhism at home. So what can this lay Buddhist do? I recite a passage of Buddhahood. At that time, there was an elder in Viali City, named Vimalakirti. I have offered countless Buddhas and deeply cultivated the rare books; I have obtained the patience of non-birth, and have no obstacles in eloquence; I have played with supernatural powers, and seized all the generals; I have gained fearlessness, and I have suffered from evil and grievances; I have entered the deep Dharma and are good at wisdom... In this way, Vimalakirti, the elder, was accused of the sick, and made thousands of people develop the Anuttara Samyaksambodhicitta."

It is the second chapter in the Vimalakirti Sutra.

The Vimalakirti Sutra has a profound influence on national Buddhism, second only to the Diamond Sutra.
