Chapter 551: Open the door to hell
Looking at the Resurrection Grass that suddenly grew a few centimeters tall, I couldn't react a little. The Resurrection Grass just now, it was unreasonable that it suddenly sprouted out new buds and grew rapidly a few centimeters.
After being nourished by the water spirit, the Resurrection Grass just stretched out the leaves. At this time, the Resurrection Grass suddenly rose by a few centimeters. Isn’t this wild growth?
If Yu Shan hadn't stared at him, he would have really not believed that the growth rate of the Resurrection Grass would have been so fast. It almost instantly grew three centimeters taller.
I was afraid that I was dazzled just now, Yu Shan once again condensed a drop of the essence of life. This time he slowed down and slowly lowered the essence of life.
The moment the essence of life fell, the Resurrection Grass suddenly increased by three centimeters again. It was not that only one stem and leaf grew, but that the overall growth suddenly increased by three centimeters.
"It seems that the essence of life is not wasted at all! This is really a birth and it will be immediate!" Seeing such a powerful effect, Yu Shan laughed.
Although I had thought that the essence of life had a role in stimulating the resurrection grass, Yu Shan never expected that the effect would be so quickly.
Since it has been effective, Yushan launched another round of plunder. Anyway, there are not many other things on the mountain, but there are many weeds. Even if you don’t want to destroy it in the Tianyuan Valley, you can still go to other hillsides to plunder.
As long as you don’t kill all the grass on the entire hillside and take a piece of it at a distance, it should not cause damage to nature.
In this way, Yushan walked among the grass in the mountains and knew that he had collected the essence of life from half a small porcelain bottle.
If we talk about drops, these are 70 or 80 drops, and in squares, they will destroy seven or eight thousand square meters of thick lawns.
"This kind of essence of life is not difficult to obtain!" Yu Shan looked at the light green liquid in the small porcelain bottle, just acre of weeds, and produced so many life evolutions. This thing seems not as difficult as Yu Shan thought.
"No matter what, it's enough to be able to revive the soul grass anyway." After returning to Chitian Peak, Yushan began a near farming life.
One drop, two drops, eleven drops, the growth rate of the Resurrection Grass slows down at this time. When the essence of life is lowered, the Resurrection Grass will grow by one centimeter at a time.
Until it fell down thirty-eight drops, the Resurrection Grass no longer grew. However, the Resurrection Grass had grown to more than 60 centimeters at this time, and the area occupied by one square meter.
It turned out that the Resurrection Grass, which had just occupied a small corner of the cliff, was already covered with the cliff stone.
At this time, Yushan continued to lower his life essence. He found that the color of the Resurrection Grass was only changing, but the plant was not continuing to grow.
It is equivalent to the mountain lowering all the essence of life in the entire porcelain bottle on the Resurrection Grass. At this time, the color of the Resurrection Grass has changed significantly.
At first, the Resurrection Grass was yellow-green, then the light green, then the apple green, then the spinach green, until it finally turned into dark green.
If it weren't for watching with your own eyes, Yu Shan really didn't believe that a plant could undergo such a big change in such a short time.
At this time, Yu Shan felt that the medicinal power of this soul-resurrection herb should not be worse than the ones he bought, and the medicinal power of the fifty or sixty years of soul-resurrection herbs were.
Although it is still not as powerful as the century-old Resurrection Herb, this is because of the characteristics of Resurrection Herb.
If the Resurrection Grass wants to break through, it is probably completely between life and death. This time, the Resurrection Grass has only been born and not yet destroyed. Perhaps when this Resurrection Grass is revived, it will be the moment of its transformation after a winter.
"It would be better to give birth to a ginseng plant in this way. There is no such restriction on ginseng." Although Yu Shan was very satisfied with his achievements, he still thought of other medicinal materials.
However, if you think about it carefully, it seems that ginseng is not that simple. As the ginseng grows, there are only a large number of leaves. For example, the legendary seven-leaf ginseng, nine-leaf ginseng, and reed heads are all the longer the age, and the more reed heads it has. Without the precipitation of time, these will not appear.
"Haha, I haven't started experimenting yet. Isn't it a little idle to think about these things now?" There were too many mixed things in my mind, which made Yu Shan unable to calm down at all.
So, Yu Shan sat directly at the top of the Chitian Peak, intending to calm down.
This time, he sat there for a day. By the beginning of the next day, Yu Shan had completely calmed down. At this time, he no longer focused on the alchemy, nor on the body-protecting jade talisman, but started to study it with a piece of camphor wood.
In a blink of an eye, today is July 15th, and this day is a very special day, no matter who it is.
In many people's concepts, July 15 is an unusual day, which combines Taoist Zhongyuan Festival, Buddhist Ullamban Festival, and the legendary "Ghost Festival".
According to Taoist cultural logic, the time and space of a year should be divided into two halves of yin and yang. Moreover, Chinese Taoism believes that the three basic elements that nurture all things in the world are heaven, earth, and water.
Therefore, Taoism regards the first half of the year as a heavenly official and the second half of the year as a earthly official. What needs to be explained here is that the "official" mentioned here does not refer to the "official" of the human official, but refers to the segments in the flow of time and space, similar to the "official" of the "official" in Chinese Go chess.
According to the Taoist worldview, Taoism is accustomed to call the fifteenth day of the first lunar month of the year (first half of the year) the "Shangyuan Festival"; the fifteenth day of the earth official section in the second half of the year is called the "Zhongyuan Festival". Since the earth contains water and water acts on the earth, the fifteenth day of the earth official section in the middle of the second half of the year is the "Xiayuan Festival".
The upper, middle and lower three elements form the Taoist understanding of the three elements system of the world.
Chinese Taoism is different from many religions in the world. Many religions in the world are united by gods and man, or like Buddhism and Christianity, it emphasizes the trinity of "the incarnation", which makes religious disseminators often highly deified.
The purpose of Taoist missionary in China is very clear. The Taoist spreading is not a god but a man. Therefore, Taoist spreading moral ethics is to "teach according to aptitude".
For those with high wisdom, they clearly demonstrate the principles of the Tao Te Ching. For those who do not have enough wisdom or do not have much time to reflect on their own moral and ethical construction, they write stories to explain the principles. "Combining education with entertainment" is the missionary method derived from Chinese Taoism.
The "Zhongyuan Festival" of Chinese Taoism is actually mainly a festival that spreads moral ethics, which means advocating people to focus on cultivating virtue on this day.
On the day of the Zhongyuan Festival, those who have thoughts and time should gather together to study Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching" together, and communicate with each other and reflect on themselves.
For ordinary believers, Taoism has created some stories to "integrate education in entertainment."
For example, Taoism created a man named Chen Zipang who married the daughter of the Dragon King, and gave birth to three children, "Heaven, Earth, and Water" on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, July, and October 15th day.
These "three officials" are in charge of the three tasks of blessing, forgiveness and relieving evil. They have endless magic power and have to travel to the world during these three days to check whether people's moral qualities are good or bad. They will bless those who have good moral qualities, otherwise they will be punished.
However, Chinese Taoism is a religion that is very tolerant and gives people the opportunity to change and renew themselves at any time. Therefore, "Zhongyuan Festival" is not just a festival that rewards kindness and punishes bad things, but mainly a "Sinceremonial Day".
Therefore, "Zhongyuan Festival" is also the "Sanguine Festival" and "Atonement Festival" among Chinese festivals. Those who have sinned during the year can review themselves and ask for forgiveness from heaven, earth and man through various rituals on the day of Zhongyuan Festival.
The "Ullamban Festival" in Buddhism is even simpler. Legend has it that a man named Mulian dreamed that his deceased mother had fallen into the ranks of hungry ghosts. So he sent food to his mother, but it was not possible.
Mu Lian told the Buddha about this matter. The Buddha advised him to offer sacrifices to monks to do many good deeds to relieve his mother's sins in the underworld. Mu Lian made a Ullambana on July 15th (the meaning of "rescue upside down"). Therefore, Buddhist monks collectively recited scriptures for Mu Lian's mother, causing his mother to escape from the sea of suffering.
From this we can see that the Ullambana Festival on July 15th in Buddhism has two meanings: one is to educate people to offer to religious monks, and the other is to educate people to do more good deeds and transcend the sins of their ancestors and promote filial piety.
Then there is the folk "Ghost Festival". July 15th is the "Ghost Festival". This is probably because the folk people have to burn paper money and sacrifice to their ancestors during the first and half months of the seventh month to the fifteenth month. This atmosphere of human-soul dialogue has led to the saying of ghost festivals.
During the Chinese folk ghost festival, in the first day of the seventh month, in order to open the ghost gate, the dead ancestors must return to the world to check whether their descendants are good or evil. The descendants also take the opportunity to worship them. After the fifteenth month of July, the gate of ghost gate will be closed. Before July 30th, if someone has not sacrificed his own ancestors, his ancestors will travel to the world for a year...
So on this day, no matter who it is, as long as it is at home, they will burn paper money and sacrifice to their ancestors. Of course, Qian Xiaohao and the others are no exception.
After seeing Qian Xiaohao and the others off, Yu Shan patrolled around the Tianyuan Valley and found no signs of opening the ghost gate. He had no choice but to go down the mountain to worship his ancestors.
After the sun sets, every household is doing their best to prepare for the money, paper, incense, candles for the dead relatives, and solemnly write the names of each dead relatives on red paper, and then put them on the ground to burn them together with the money, paper, incense, candles.
In order for every dead relative to get a generous gift, when burning paper money, it must be arranged according to the age of relatives and the order of death. Each person can take a pile of them, and each pile of money must be placed with a pre-written name on each pile of money, so that there will be no confusion.
While burning paper money, a grand lantern festival of Ghost Festival will be held in the ancestral halls of each family in the village.
Under the leadership of the clan leader of this family, the ghost lamps and magic lamps that were tied into various types were arranged in order.
The main ones are the Ghost King lamp, Zhong Xu lamp, Pluto lamp, Judge Ghost lamp, and Niu head and horse face lamp.
