Chapter 1 Small Taoist Temple in the Deep Mountains

There is such a mountain in the mountainous areas of China, where vegetation is dense, few people set foot here. It is far from the hustle and bustle of the city, with fresh air and beautiful scenery. Apart from the small villages at the foot of the mountain, there are only a dozen families, and basically no trace of people can be seen.

This big mountain is called Fangcun Mountain, and the village at the foot of the mountain is called Liujia Village.

And in such a mountain, there is a Taoist temple located in it. It is not big. If it is slightly away from it, it will be blocked by the big tree, as if it does not exist.

The Taoist temple is called Wenfeng Temple. Although it is not big, it naturally integrates with the surrounding environment and looks neat and solemn, just as it should be here.

Since there is a Taoist temple, there will definitely be a Taoist priest. The owner of the Taoist temple is Lin Wenfeng. He is an orphan. He was picked up by the old Taoist priest at the foot of the mountain, giving the old Taoist priest who was originally alone a companion.

The old Taoist is not from Liujia Village, but an outsider's surname is Lin. The specific name is unclear, and he doesn't know how old he is.

Lin Wenfeng and the old Taoist surname were found near Wenfeng Temple, so he was named Lin Wenfeng.

The villagers call the old Taoist priest an old god, not only because of his age but his special spirit of Taoist priest, but also his skillful medical skills. Anyone who suffers from illness or disasters will go up the mountain to find the old Taoist priest for a look.

Lin Wenfeng grew up day by day under the training of the old Taoist. The old Taoist not only regarded him as his apprentice, but also treated him like a grandson. He gave him all his skills without any private hiding.

He himself is also successful, learns very quickly, and is very diligent. The old Taoist has learned all kinds of skills over the years and often accompanys the old Taoist down the mountain to see people. Sometimes, in order to teach him, he also lets him take care of the doctor himself, and the old Taoist guides him.

Whenever he saw Lin Wenfeng's progress, the old man would smile with relief, feeling that he had a successor.

That day, the old Taoist lay on the bed and said to Lin Wenfeng in a weak voice: "Feng'er, I haven't had much time to be my teacher anymore, I can't be with you anymore. You are the one I don't want to worry about most."

Lin Wenfeng knelt in front of the old Taoist's bed, his eyes were red, and tears were slid across his cheeks like a stream: "Master, no, Master, you will definitely live a hundred years old. You are a god, Feng'er can't live without a master."

Looking at Lin Wenfeng who was crying sadly, the old Taoist also choked up: "Why don't you want to be by Feng'er forever? Watching my Feng'er grow up day by day, your greatest wish is that Feng'er can become a talent and surpass his teacher."

The old Taoist suddenly took Lin Wenfeng's hand and said, "I promise to be my teacher, I must live well and spread our Taoism well. Don't let Wenfeng Temple be defeated by you, I promise to be my teacher."

Ling Wenfeng felt the strength in the old Taoist hand and nodded heavily.

When the old Taoist saw him agreeing, his spirit disappeared immediately. The old man recalled the days since he picked up Lin Wenfeng to the present, the old man slowly chuckled and his eyes became more and more turbid.

In this way, the old Taoist ended his long life in beautiful memories, and at the end of his death, he murmured: "My peak has grown up."

The old Taoist has gone. Lin Wenfeng was sixteen years old this day, and he cried very sadly.

After hearing the death of the old god, the villagers immediately organized people to go up the mountain to help Lin Wenfeng handle the funeral for the old Taoist.

Looking at the sad Lin Wenfeng, thinking that he was the only one after the old Taoist left, the villagers told him that he would go down the mountain and that he would be alone on the mountain, but he refused them all one by one.

He cannot go down the mountain, he still has to fulfill the old Taoist's last wish, and he still has to continue to learn the abilities assigned to him by the old Taoist.

When sorting out the relics of the old Taoist, he found a box, which was not very big. After he opened it, he saw a letter, which was left to him by the old Taoist.

The letter said: Feng'er, when you see this letter, your teacher is no longer there. All you can leave to you is the books in my room and the things in this box. Don't worry about being a teacher. Being a teacher is considered to have attained enlightenment and ascend to heaven. After taking care of you for so long, you should have a good rest as much as possible;

There is a medicinal material that the master accidentally obtained many years ago. The master made him a life-extending pill. He took one in a critical moment and could hang his life for a few days, so that he would not let his life go away due to insufficient time.

I also have the experience of practicing Taoism that I have been a teacher for many years. I hope you can experience it carefully. I hope you can inherit this Wenfeng Temple well.

Looking at the words in the old Taoist letter, Lin Wenfeng burst into tears, and the sternness, kindness and every bit of the old Taoist life flashed in front of his eyes.

Lin Wenfeng folded the letters and put them in his arms, looked at the box, where there was a set of silver needles and a small gourd made of jade. Looking at the little gourd, he knew that this was what the master called the life-extending pill.

When I poured it out, I saw that the total nine pieces were enough to prove the preciousness of this pill.

After packing up the master's belongings, walking out of the door, and looking at the white clouds floating in the sky, Lin Wenfeng fell into deep thought.

He shook his head and smiled bitterly: There are too many questions in a person's life, but there are no standard answers. How can I find these answers? Master! You run so fast, and your disciple still has many questions to ask you.

Retracting my thoughts, I looked at the fallen leaves all over the ground, picked up the broom beside the wall and started cleaning the Taoist temple. There was no unnecessary sound, only the rustling sound of the fallen leaves rubbing against the ground.

The roof was stumbled, as if talking about the little things happening in the mountains and forests.

The sun was about to set, and the Taoist temple raised smoke from cooking fires, as if telling the mountains that this day was about to pass, and a new day was coming soon.

The sky was getting darker and darker. Lin Wenfeng looked at the sunset and thought that a new cycle was about to begin again.

This is how everything in the world is, one by one, forming this world. Such things happen every day, beginning and ending, ending and then constantly alternating.

He always can't see clearly what is contained in it, can't figure it out, and he can't figure it out, so he can't think about it. The master told him that everything in the world has a subtle connection. When you can't figure it out in one place, try to put it down, and maybe you will get the answer you want in another place.

The same is true for the "Tao" we call. Everything in the world has its own enlightenment, and different enlightenment have the same connection. We practitioners discover their own enlightenment through continuous practice.

He once kept asking the master what "Tao" is. The master always smiled and touched Lin Wenfeng's head and said: Because everything is not a matter, it is the same as it is, and it follows something in a unified way without exception, that is, the foundation of change, neither birth nor death, invisible nor form, no beginning or end, and everything is tolerated;

It is big but no outside, and it is small but no inside. If it is wrong, it will change and will never change. It is named after it. Therefore, the ancients strongly called it "Tao"

All things in the world are born from "Tao". This is the origin of everything, the highest principle, and the ultimate truth.
