Chapter 10 Promotion to Corporal

"The purpose of this counterattack is to concentrate our troops and destroy five German camps in one fell swoop. The code message on the map shows that one of them is a large combat base, three medium-sized camps, and a transfer station camp with less troops."

Colonel Marcos began to explain, and every officer in the command tent listened attentively, and obviously had been waiting for the opportunity to counterattack for a long time.

If the German army has been passively suppressed, the front-line defense zone will sooner or later be completely destroyed. But once this counterattack is successful, it will be able to slap the German army's shattered spirit.

"The enemy's large combat base is planned to be raided by me and two lower captains, and I personally led more than five troops to the raid. The three camps with medium strength will be led by three officers with lower ranks or above."

Colonel Marcos said while using his fingers to gesture on a large map. The map is a three-dimensional simulation map specially used for military purposes. It clearly shows five German camp fortresses outside the defensive front.

"It seems that this time it's really going to be a big deal. The combat commander took action personally, with the enemy's base coordinate information, sufficient manpower and a raid at night - it's hard to lose this battle."

Kyle thought to himself that he was responsible for interpreting the secret message, and had already known the information recorded on the map. At this time, he just heard the colonel's military distribution of the raid plan, and knew that this war was basically sure.

This is the importance of intelligence to war, and those who win are often the ones who take the lead.

In the next time, Colonel Marcos distributed the troops responsible for each officer and the raid plan one by one. After knowing that he was responsible for the task tonight, the officers quickly left the tent with a small piece of combat plan message and set out to prepare for the arrangements before the raid.

Soon, Kyle was the only one left in the tent of the command center.

The commander wouldn't have forgotten me, right?

Kyle complained secretly, looking at Colonel Marcos who was sitting back on the chair. However, he didn't waste time. He took advantage of the opportunity to plan the meeting and drew several good green ability cards from the officers around him.

Although the ability cards of similar professionals are superimposed after the green ability cards have been accumulated to a certain extent, the improvement of physical fitness and ability is no longer obvious.

Colonel Marcos took a sip of water and then his eyes turned to Kyle. His tight face was slightly relieved. He smiled and said, "Soldier Kyle. The raid plan tonight is very important. Although you just came back from the frontline combat zone in the morning, you still have to participate in the raid plan after the afternoon break."

"Of course. Being able to participate in the first counterattack against Nass is my honor as an American soldier. I will do my best to fight tonight." Kyle said righteously.

"I have learned from many sergeants these days that your will and motivation as a soldier, as well as your amazing performance on the battlefield." Colonel Marcos nodded with satisfaction. He was really satisfied with the new soldier, and the more he looked at him, the more he liked him.

The newly arrived recruit went to the battlefield and it was already very good to expect him to be able to play a 70% of his normal strength level. But the newly arrived Kyle performed like a veteran who had experienced many battles, and was like a fish in water on the battlefield.

In addition to setting up the counterattack plan in the past few days, Colonel Marcos also deliberately confirmed Kyle's identity to the rear base, fearing that he was a secret spy disguised by the German army.

Colonel Marcos moistened his throat and said meaningfully: "But tonight, I'm not just asking you to raid as a soldier."

"Not as a soldier? What is that..." Kyle was surprised, and suddenly guessed something, and said with a strange face: "Col. Tonight, you won't let me lead the troops to the fifth German small transit camp."

"That's right." Colonel Marcos nodded, saying that he was not kidding. He took a military badge out of the drawer and placed it on the table, and to be precise: "Of course. You are not the leader of the soldier, but the identity of the 'corporal'."

"I, Corporal?" Kyle pointed at his nose in amazement.

Although the rank of a corporal is not high, he is definitely a 'official' level in the army!

After three days of combat, just skip the lower middle and upper corporal rank and take the rank of corporal corporal in one step? When will the corporal officer's military position be so valuable?

"Why, don't believe in your ability?" Colonel Marcos smiled.

"I naturally believe that I have the ability. But I didn't expect this to be promoted to corporal, soldier." Kyle shrugged and quickly calmed down.

"This is in peacetime, and three days are promoted from recruits to corporals. Even if there is a general as a backstage, it cannot be done."

Colonel Marcos said solemnly, "But now is the time of the world war! Soldier Kyle, the war you have experienced in the venue these days, the enemies you have killed with your own hands are probably several times more than those veterans who live in peacetime in the past ten years."

"Excellent individual combat performance and unique intelligence analysis skills, it is a pity for you to be a soldier alone. Since you are capable, the army urgently needs elite talents like you, and actually accumulate military merit as a foundation. What is the only way to be promoted to a corporal?"

"I understand." Kyle nodded.

Heroes come from troubled times. It is precisely because of the strife like World War II that capable people can ignore the accumulation of backstage and experience and quickly improve their military ranks.

I like this period.

Kyle's mouth raised slightly, and his blue eyes were full of confidence. He felt lucky to be reborn in Marvel's World War II for the first time.

Colonel Marcos smiled and said, "Don't worry, after all, it's your first time leading the army, and it's such an important counterattack campaign. I won't let you command alone."

"That's good, I'm afraid I'll mess it up alone." Kyle breathed a sigh of relief, and now he knew clearly that the Colonel was giving him a chance to exercise while launching a counterattack.

Colonel Marcos shouted outside the tent: "Communication officer, go and call Sergeant Fury over."

"Sergeant Fury?" Kyle touched his chin, the name made him feel a little familiar.

But a while later, a black officer walked into the tent. His left eye was still wrapped in gauze, but he was already wearing a complete set of combat uniforms and looked ready to go.

"It's you, Sergeant." Kyle spoke in surprise. Wasn't the black sergeant he encountered when he first experienced the battlefield?

"Soldier Kyle, no, it should be said to be Corporal Kyle." Sergeant Fury greeted him cordially and saluted the colonel, "Sir! Sergeant Fury, I, have recovered and returned to the team and can implement all action plans!"

"Very good." Colonel Marcos nodded and introduced to Kyle: "This is your team leader tonight, Nick Fury, who has been a sergeant commander for a while and has extensive experience in field command."

Kyle blinked, and when he heard the black officer's name, he was stunned.

Nick Fury? Well, the new director of SHIELD in the 21st century?

"I'll take care of you tonight." Sergeant Fury looked Ke'ai, and nodded to Kyle. He was far from the fierce and domineering aura he had since then, but now he looks very young, only about twenty-five years old.

"You're welcome." Kyle calmed down his mood. It was during World War II. Not to mention the director of SHIELD, even SHIELD has not been established yet.

But to fight against the future Director of SHIELD?

This is quite interesting.
