Chapter 8 The Evil Circus
Roger's cabin is on the edge of Korocia, only half an hour's walk from the vast sea. Unfortunately, the clown's circus is almost half an hour away from this cabin.
To be precise, thirty-four minutes. Roger measured with his feet. On the night when the clown arrived, they began to knock and nail tents. Of course, the clown did not come alone. The clown acted weird and funny, and the clown was a very rich man. He parked on the dock of Krojah, a big ship comparable to the Big Gold Tooth Pirate Ship. There were fourteen or five people who came to Krojah Island with him, all of whom were members of the Evil Spirit Circus. Some of them practiced on the side when they were building the tent.
Stepping on a wheelbarrow on the steel wire, picking fire rings, shaving big stones on your chest, dancing on your palms..., all kinds of weird performances are available.
They built the tent in just one night, and it was amazingly efficient. The next day, the people in the circus began to distribute flyers in various parts of Korocia. Their flyers were marked with a ghost. The men and women on the island were very curious about the circus. Although the girls thought that many of the people in the circus looked weird and ferocious, their curiosity had been aroused.
"There is no sign on the ship, not a pirate, not an Irish ship, nor a coachman on the sea. Who are these guys?"
Roger sat on the stairs in front of the door as always, playing with the golden knife in his hand.
He was wrapped in bandages on the back of his hand, and the illusion of last night surprised him, and he still remembered the clown's eyes.
The logo of the sail on the clown's ship is the same as the logo on their leaflets, and they are all ghost patterns. Roger looked for the "Pirate Logo Map" for a long time but couldn't find such a logo. He also looked through the "Irish Ship Logo Map" but couldn't find it. He even searched all the ship icons of major families and chambers of commerce, but he couldn't find the logo of this black ghost.
Last night, Oris was drunk again and knew nothing about his previous life. Roger lamented in his heart that he was such a child that no one loved.
"Master Roger",
"Master Roger",
A crisp girlish voice came, and Lolita, a maid-fitting dress, ran out of the cake house that had just stopped by the roadside. Roger did not order the cake this morning, and what Lolita handed him was not a cake box, but a ticket.
"Master Roger, do you have time tonight? Lolita wants to invite you to the circus performance." Lolita looked at him with anticipation.
In the circus performance, Roger thought of the clown's eyes again. He hated the lifeless eyes from the bottom of his heart, but Lolita's eyes made him unable to refuse.
Roger held her hand and smiled, "Miss Lolita, why would Roger refuse your invitation? Tonight, the people in the circus will have the honor to see the lady's charming charm. Roger is honored for them and for himself." He was about to bow his head and kiss Lolita but retracted his hand.
"Master Roger, it's wrong to take advantage of others." She stretched out two fingers to put them beside Roger's mouth, looking at him with sly eyes.
Roger took the opportunity to tick her finger and said, "How can this be Roger's fault? It's all because the lady is too charming, which makes Roger unable to help herself."
Lolita's face turned red again, but she took two steps back and refused to let Roger offend again. She smiled with her hands behind her back and said, "Master Roger, Lolita will go back to change clothes first. See you tonight."
"See you at night, the worrying lady",
Roger once again looked at the moving cake house gradually moving away, and he looked down at the ticket in his hand; this ticket is very similar to the circus leaflet, and the logo is the same, but the performance time is added.
Roger walked into the wooden house and placed the tickets on the dining table very seriously. He washed his hands and went to the kitchen to cook. When he came out, Oris was already sitting at the table, holding the ticket for the Evil Spirit Circus to watch repeatedly.
"Roger, did you buy this ticket?" Oris rarely showed such serious expressions. This ticket seemed to contain a lot of things.
Roger put the prepared steak on the table and said, "It was sent by Miss Lolita, and invited me to go to the circus performance with her. Lord Queen, you seem to know the origin of that mark."
Her eyes were always staring at the mark of the evil spirit just now.
Oris held his cheek and smiled, "Roger, your sensitivity is really frustrating."
Roger in the kitchen said, "That's to admit it? Lord Queen."
"They used to be guards of the Adev family..."
"For two hundred years since the Adev family appeared, no servant was a woman, and no guard was a man. That clown was a man," Roger exposes her lie.
Oris seemed even more frustrated, and for a moment he looked at the ticket more attentively.
"Are you thinking if you don't speak? Do you want to make up a lie that I can't break? Or do you think carefully whether you want to tell me the truth?"
Roger brought the last tray with the cut fruit in it, and sat directly opposite Oris and looked into her eyes.
"Mr. Queen, Mr. Roger is no longer a child and has the right to know the truth of the matter." He said it very seriously.
Oris smiled and said, "Okay, Master Roger, an evil existence in the Evil Spirit Circus. If possible, please do not accept Lolita's invitation."
Roger waved his hand: "I'm sorry, a gentleman cannot break the contract, especially the agreement with a girl."
Olis flirted with bangs and smiled charmingly: "Little Roger, this is a kind reminder from Lord Queen."
"Only fools need reminders, smart Master Roger doesn't need it."
A lunch was spent in the atmosphere of the cold war, and in the end, neither Roger nor Oris compromised. Roger returned to the room and prepared the equipment that he might use at night, gold knives, gold coins, newly developed potions, mini crossbow machines that could be hidden in his sleeves...
After lunch, Oris went to the tavern. Today's tavern was particularly deserted. Most of the people on the island were attracted by the newly opened circus. Even the pirates who had just climbed the dock went to the circus. Only the girls in the tavern were drinking bored.
In the evening, Roger appeared in front of the door of the moving cake house on time and knocked on the door.
The door opened, and she changed into a maid outfit and put on a long white skirt. The bow on her hair was also taken off and changed into a hairpin. She looked proudly at Roger, who seemed to be shocked by her beauty.
Roger reached out and held her four fingers: "Dear Miss Lolita, please allow Roger to spend this wonderful night with you."
Lolita smiled sly and said, "Dear Master Roger, Lolita can only accompany you for half a night, and the remaining half will be with your mother. Will you understand Lolita?"
Roger couldn't help laughing: "Of course",
"Lolita, no matter how sweet the little bastard Roger is talking, you must come back tonight, otherwise I will go to Roger's house to lift the table."
Jesse's loud voice spread again.
Roger made a face and pulled Lolita to trot towards the circus.
The noise of the circus was getting louder and louder, and a cold and stern surging surged inexplicably in the tavern beside the pier, appearing and disappearing.
