Chapter 3 Clear Spirit, Mystery, and Illusory

The cycle of the sun and the moon is reincarnated, illuminating the vicissitudes of heaven and earth.

For a long time, the Golden Elephant can only instinctively swallow the vital energy of heaven and earth. Not much of the vital energy between heaven and earth is intimidated into the body, and most of it will scatter out. Therefore, although he has not practiced diligently over the years, if he fights with Taoist disciples who have practiced for more than ten years, he will definitely lose. This is the difference between having a practice method and not having a practice method.

Although the practice over the years is not much compared to the life he has lived for many years, he himself has not found that he has become much more clear-minded. He has already known many things he didn't know before, and now he will think about things he wouldn't have thought about before.

This is the enlightenment of demons. Many demons only belong to the initial stage of spiritual intelligence throughout their lives. Humans must continue to learn to be able to enlighten their spiritual intelligence, let alone monsters.

It’s the snow melting flowers and blooming the ice again.

One winter, the old master was explaining the scriptures to him, but the scriptures were too mysterious compared to the Golden Elephant. Even if the old master explained them one by one, he could not understand them. More mysterious words were not available to explain or describe them. Half a winter, he only explained the previous four sentences, but the Golden Elephant still seemed to understand them.

After the spring, the old master accepted another group of students, and Jin Xiangdi still went to the class every day. Now it was much easier to listen to it again. He didn't have to work hard to memorize those words, so he found that there were many things he had not heard before or didn't care about before. Every time he heard something he didn't know before, he would feel excited in his heart, whether it was useful to him or useless.

When I was free, Master Lao would tell some stories about the Golden Elephant and tell some simple and easy-to-understand meanings of the scriptures. And Master Lao would explain a paragraph in "The Greatest Wei Yan" every time.

Time passes day by day, the autumn wind blows the red maple leaves, the yellow grass, and it is another year when heavy snow is flying.

The breath of Jin Xiangdi's body became more and more pure and quiet. He could already know why the people in the village always did repetitive things and why they were always so busy. But he still had many things he didn't understand, such as when the old man who obviously seemed to have no power scolded those powerful young people, the young man would just say nothing. There were many things he didn't know.

He still practiced hard day and night, except for practicing, listening to the old master's words, or hiding on the highest roof in the village to watch the villagers work. Although he had not learned any practice method from the "Taishang Weiyan" and he still couldn't understand what it meant, he had a feeling in his heart that he could learn the practice method as long as he understood the meaning of the sutra in the book.

Year after year has passed.

The old Master had already explained the "Taishang Weiyan" which was not many words. When the old Master asked the golden elephant that there was no meaning in the scriptures, the golden elephant shook his head and nodded, and finally he just said he didn't know.

The old master smiled and said, "I have explained the scriptures for you, so you should also know that 'The Way is telling, and the Way is very meaningful. What I explained is just a very simple meaning, mainly to bring you in. Seeing that you are now, you should almost touch the threshold. So don't always think about the things I explained to you now, but you should look at them yourself, think about them, and recite them silently. The meaning of the world is not something that can be clearly expressed by words."

Jin Xiangdi thought about it and nodded.

The old master said again: "When one day you have your own understanding of the scriptures in this book, you should be able to transform into human beings."

Jin Xiangdi remembered the words of Master Lao, recited the whole scripture in his heart, and then thought about it one by one to understand. Although most of the time, his mind was chaotic and he could not think of anything, but after he had been chanting for a long time and thinking too much, he would occasionally think of something in a flash. At this time, he would run to tell Master Lao very excitedly, and Master Lao would always smile and nod in his head. This way he would be happier, but he did not notice that Master Lao's body was getting worse day by day, the turbidity in his eyes became thicker and thicker, his walking speed was getting slower and slower, and he was already on crutches.

When Jin Xiangdi recited "Taishang Weiyan" day and night, he thought of more and more things, and the time for entering tranquility became longer and longer. Sometimes when he woke up, there were flowers all over the mountains, and when he suddenly woke up, it was already snowing.

Suddenly one day, he felt that people were not complicated, but they had more arms and feet. He thought in his heart that I also gave birth to an arm, so he gave birth to an arm. He was overjoyed and thought to himself, "So it's really that simple."

He also thought about giving birth to his feet, and his lower body was clear and he immediately gave birth to his feet. Then he imagined the whole person, and immediately turned into a person, wearing golden clothes. He was very happy and wanted to run to show the old master to let him know that he had transformed.

But when I moved my feet, I realized that I was only the size of a chopstick at this time. Then I thought in my heart that I had grown up, and my body suddenly rose with the wind and turned into a young man.

He lowered his head and pressed his body left and touched it right, feeling surprised. He immediately ran to the old master's residence. At first, he was extremely uncomfortable walking, and he always twisted left and right, but after walking a few steps, forcing him to walk straight and slower, he was like a normal person.

He had been in the village at first, but later he hid in the back mountain to practice. At this time, he had to walk back from the back mountain. For his snake body, those miles of roads were just a blink of an eye, but for Jin Xiangdi who was about to learn how to walk, it took him a while. However, he didn't care and was walking happily. On the way, he met a woodcutter in the village and greeted them enthusiastically, while they responded with the same smile, and then turned around to ask the people around him if they knew Jin Xiangdi.

The two or three miles of road made him familiar with the way of walking in humans. He soon arrived in the village. His golden clothes made the villagers look at each other, but he greeted them one by one as if they were very familiar. He forgot to recognize them, but they did not recognize him.

He walked straight to the old Master's residence. Before he got close, he shouted: "Teacher, teacher, disciple has transformed."

"Teacher..." he shouted, and had already walked to the door and pushed it open with one hand.

However, before his hand touched the wooden door, the door had already opened.

A man in his forties walked out of the door, wearing a white-washed scholar's robe, a scholar's scarf, and a black beard on his forehead. He looked quite charitable and was holding a book in his hand. It was obvious that he was reading a book just now.

"Old..." Jin Xiangdi's voice was stuck in her throat and turned into: "Who are you and how are you in my teacher's room."

He was also obviously stunned, looked up and down at Jin Xiangdi and said, "You are looking for Mr. Li."

Jin Xiang Derui thought about it and thought that his teacher's surname was Li. He realized that he didn't know his teacher's name at this time. At the same time, he nodded immediately and said, "Yes, where is my teacher?"

"Uh, Mr. Li had already gone to the fairy a year ago. Where did you come from?"

Jin Xiangdi was stunned and repeated, "Why did the immortal go?" He thought for a while and immediately knew that the immortal went to mean death. In his mind, he never thought that the old master would die one day. In his opinion, how could a good person die if he was not killed by others?

When this fact was placed in front of him, he immediately thought that people would die, and even if they didn't fight for food and were not injured, they would die and die of old age.

The new teacher frowned after hearing Jin Xiangdi's muttering words, "Are you Mr. Li's disciple?"

"Yes, I am a teacher's student." Jin Xiangdi didn't know what was wrong with her, and felt very sad.

"What's your name?" asked the teacher.

Jin Xiangdi was a little confused. He once asked the old master what it means to be sad. The old master said at that time, "When you lose something you care about, you will be sad." At that time, he thought about it seriously, but he did not think of anything he wanted very much. Except for "Taishang Weiyan", he didn't care much after writing down the scriptures. In the end, he concluded that he would not be sad if he didn't care about things he didn't care about.

"My name is Jin Xiangdi." He answered, but thought to himself: "Is this sadness?"

The teacher looked at Jin Xiangdi again and said, "There is a letter left to you by Mr. Li." After he said that, he returned to the room. Jin Xiangdi looked at the room without any changes in the decorations, but felt a sense of strangeness.

The teacher took out the letter, which read the words "Golden Elephant Creation and Revealing" on it.

Jin Xiangdi opened the letter quickly there, and he wanted to see what old Master left to him.

"I have been teaching for forty years, but I don't want to meet you in my later years to study. I am very lucky. I always think about the words of sages to teach the people, and I feel very moved. Now that my deadline is approaching, you have not revealed for several years, and I am very worried about it. If this letter is seen, I will give you a message to "The disaster will come to a small moment, and you must act in a clear mind." I hope to persevere and persist, and I wish that people will be like names, Dharma images will be established, and immortal books will be recorded forever."

The letter is very short and the words are very few. But Jin Xiangdi looked at it for a long time, and read it over and over again.

The teacher looked at the young man in golden clothes in front of him, and finally saw a trace of sadness on his face. It was not pretending. He secretly breathed a sigh of relief in his heart, knowing that he had not given the wrong person.

"Where was the teacher buried?" Jin Xiangdi asked.

"Shagong Mountain, you will see it when you go."

The Golden Elephant turned around and walked quickly, forgetting that he would twist left and right as soon as he walked quickly. The teacher behind him frowned and looked at the Golden Elephant who was twisting and walking, and didn't know what he was thinking.

The old master lived in a relatively remote place, while Shagong Mountain was in front of the village and walked through the village again. This time he was not in the mood to say hello to the villagers, as if he turned a blind eye, but everyone stared at him.

Suddenly, a string of ringtones came from a distance, with clear and refreshing ringtones coming from the entrance of the village.

Jin Xiangdi naturally didn't care at all and kept walking. Soon he saw a Taoist in green robe who was invisible in front of him. An ancient gourd was hanging around his waist, and a yellow banner with four big words on it, saying "Catch ghosts and eliminate demons." There was a yellow copper bell in the middle of the handshake of the yellow banner, which was shaking a series of crisp ringtones.

As soon as he saw the golden elephant, he stopped, and the copper bell was still trembling.

At this time, Jin Xiangdi seemed to see the Taoist. Suddenly, he thought of the person who had taken his natural enemy Baihe as his mount for many years in the void. He was also wearing such clothes, and the smell on his body was very similar.

Suddenly, a sense of danger surged in his heart.

"Monster?" said the Taoist coldly.

"I'm not a monster." Jin Xiangdi kept walking and was about to walk away from him, but immediately replied.

"When will even a little demon like you dare to come to the world?" said the Taoist in the green robe.

Some people have always looked at Jin Xiangdi from far away. When they heard the Taoist priest say that Jin Xiangdi was a monster, they retreated in horror, shouted and hid far away. Some young and strong people even held the farm tools in their hands tightly. It seemed that they wanted to help Taoist priests get rid of monsters together.

There are many Taoist priests walking on the earth. Any Taoist priest can use several magic tricks. They wander around and eliminate demons and catch ghosts every time they pass. This makes Taoist priests have a high status in the earth, and naturally everyone believes what they say.

"I am a human, not a monster." Jin Xiangdi said loudly, deciding to ignore this inexplicable Taoist priest, and to bypass him far away to the Shagong Mountain in front.

The Taoist sneered and said, "A demon is a demon, even if it is transformed into a human, it is still a demon. A demon like you who thinks that he is transformed into a human is a human is the stupidest. How can you see the secrets of heaven and understand the great way? It is better to enter the cycle of reincarnation early and be a human in the next life."

Jin Xiangdi suddenly felt very angry and wanted to kill the Taoist priest in front of him, and murderous intent appeared in his eyes. At this moment, the ringtone he heard suddenly changed, becoming rapid and hazy. If the sound before was crisp and pleasant, and it made people feel clear when they heard it, then now there is a drowsy thought after listening to it. The ringtone is like entangled in the soul, tightly bound, suffocating.
