Chapter 4 The Unity Pulled Out

To maximize unity of the people of Nuozar and to make them willing to follow the new Nuozar regime, Dusand must first solve a fundamental problem.

Who is your own person and who is the enemy?

The poor, who account for more than 90% of the population of Newar, should of course be the main unity. They have been ignored by the empire and colonial ruling institutions for a long time, and any capitalist, nobles, or even free people, naturally draw benefits from them.

The poor are oppressed for a long time, and no one is willing to speak for their interests. Among the more than 100 members of the House of Commons, none of them relied on the poor to vote for them - on the contrary, Androni and Dusand would also seek some benefits for these poor people.

They occupy the vast majority of the population, but their strength is extremely weak. They are neglected groups and are also the most easily won. As long as they can bring some changes and hope to their lives... they don't even need to ensure food and clothing, they will follow Dusand wholeheartedly.

Giving hope to a group that is difficult to achieve even when you are alive and truly visible changes, they will give their all their support.

But it is not enough to just bribe the small favors. The organizations and regimes established in this way will eventually transform into "evil dragons" who seek personal gain and deceive the poor. However, after being bribed by "little favors and small favors", the vast majority of the poor who found themselves deceived will no longer bear it.

No matter how small the favors are, the poor can gain some benefits from such a bribe. Such benefits will provide them with "power". It may be economic ability, or political vision... In short, they will no longer have nothing like before, and are weak and can be bullied.

From the perspective of "ruling", bribing the poor will pose a threat to subsequent rule, so the empire did not consider what benefits to the poor from the beginning.

But Dusand didn't think there was any problem with this.

The rule of the empire is fundamentally to maintain the rule of the royal family. Of course, they have to use any means to limit groups that will pose a threat to themselves, and to win over and divide other groups that will already pose a threat to the royal family's rule.

It takes costs to win over and divide, and when these costs are borne by the abandoned children of the empire - the poor -, the royal family will at least feel that the business is done very smartly.

The core content of feudal rule in feudal style is to share the poor and land with the lower aristocrats through superiors, thereby gaining the surrender of the other party.

As a time traveler, Dusand's pattern was obviously higher than that of the rulers of the feudal dynasty.

What Newar needs most... is not actually the stability of the rule. Dusander himself was not interested in the "long-lasting" rule. He only had one purpose.

Dusand wants to let Nussal burst out with unprecedented vitality in the shortest time, let Nussal completely overwhelm the empire, then kill Olin, drag the god-good emperor and the mechanism out of their nest, and cut into pieces to commemorate Androni.

This goal is not easy to achieve at all. In fact, it is even close to daydreaming. In any case, the Empire is still a super behemoth that occupies thirty-seven colonial stars and has a total population of more than 10 billion. Although the war with the alliance lasted for more than four hundred years, the Empire has never been in the dilemma of "life and death". This behemoth has never really been serious.

Dusand had no doubt that the truly mobilized empire could kill 100 Newells. If the empire really killed the alliance, after freeing up his hands and starting to enjoy the enemy's corpses, the empire's strength would probably increase to at least 180 Newells.

Therefore, if you want to kill the empire, you must first be quick. Before the empire kills the alliance, Newar has to expand his strength by at least a hundred times.

Dusande has no other options to go. If he follows the most secure and least in line with Dusande's aesthetic method, his great-grandson, if there is, may not be able to seek it from the empire.

If that's the case... why not make it bigger?

Dusander's job is very busy and not easy.

It is of course simple to issue an order, just move your mouth. But when Dusand sets a goal for himself and becomes the supreme ruler of the entire Newar, the action of "issuing an order" comes with a lot of complex psychological activities.

Is this instruction appropriate? Will it lead to bad results? Can the lazy administrative bureaucrats below execute good orders?

Dusander was very busy and under great pressure. He was not only the captain of a boat, but also the first mate, second mate and helmsman of the boat. What's more, he had to be in charge of the observer and navigation room.

This is not a question of whether you are busy or not. It is a difficulty for ships to hit the reef and sink when they don’t know when.

To solve this difficult problem, Dusand met with two candidates from the director of the Aika office who was brought by Orwell.

A little old man who looks dry and thin, hunched over, and... an acquaintance.

Dusand looked at Gustavo Gutierrez in front of him, and after a moment of silence, he said, "It seems that you have been taken good care of in the dungeon for a while."

Gutierrez is now covered with wounds and bruises, and one eye is completely blocked by the blood scars. It is impossible to tell whether he is blind or has been beaten like this.

But the tall priest still maintained his original posture, his hands naturally lowered, his feet slightly apart, and looked at Dusand without hesitation without saying a word.

"The idea of liberation theology is also heretical within the church, so few people can publicly promote this view." Orwell introduced next to it, "The traditional church view believes that the royal family is the favor of God. But liberation theology fundamentally denies this concept-they believe that..."

Before Orwell could finish his words, Gutierrez suddenly spoke, "The current royal family is the source of all pain and darkness in the entire empire. God lets his sons enter the world in order to replace people's suffering through their sacred practices and ultimately liberate everyone. The royal family has become the source of people's suffering, so the royal family cannot be God's sons."

Orwell shrugged, "That's what they thought."

"But you still followed the royal orders and massacred the people of Neussal." Dusand suddenly raised his voice, "What kind of liberation theology, isn't this what you just believed in to survive?!"

To be honest, Dusand didn't want the bishop to live first. The bishop is close to his family. As long as Androni goes to church to listen to Mass, he will definitely go to pay homage to Mr. Bishop. Just by this frequent interaction, he should find a way to leak the news to Androni in advance.

"I... after learning about this, I found His Excellency Speaker as soon as possible." Faced with such questions, Gutierrez showed a hint of "apologies" for the first time. He lowered his head and replied, "But I was not alone at that time, I couldn't say too much..."

Dusander was silent. After a while, he waved his hand and signaled Orwell to take Gutierrez down first.

He still had difficulty accepting this fact. He didn't even understand why Gutierrez could survive-a month ago, Gutierrez's envoy did send the news to Dusand... but before he could react further, Dusand was removed from all positions by the furious Dusand.

Duchamp executed more than 20,000 people in the month of reign of Neussal, but did not attack Gutierrez. This made Dusand feel a little puzzled.

After driving away the bishop, the shriveled old man standing there looked even more slutty. Orwell took Gutierrez to the dungeon, and only Dusand and the old man were left in the room.

"Your doctrine is 'Neusal single nationalism'... right?" Dusander asked casually, looking through the documents sent by the administration department in front of him, "What does this single nation mean?"

"Old... Master, the single nation means that the Neussars should be a separate nation." The old man answered Dusand's question with a standard "nonsense literature", and then said, "The history and development of the Neussars are different from other colonies of the empire. From an academic perspective, the Neussars should become a separate nation."

In the empire, "nation" is a complete foreign word. The one who created this word was the "only enemy" alliance of the empire.

The Alliance is a country founded by the subordinates of the rebel El Salvador and descendants of El Salvador, and this "country" has always maintained its previous "characteristics" - it has always been a rather loose alliance within it.

The descendants of El Salvador mastered the most colonial stars and military power, while the descendants of other subordinates occupied some colonial stars according to their different power and resources, and had their own military power independent of the descendants of El Salvador.

In Dusand's view, the political structure of the alliance is simply an excellent stage and breeding ground for civil strife. However, the alliance miraculously, or inevitably maintains internal relations, and is even flourishing and growing rapidly. The fundamental reason for this wonder is the empire that has been "eying" outside the alliance.

When the empire maintained its strategic offensive, every political entity within the alliance must rely on the descendants of El Salvador, the most powerful military power in the alliance. They also seized the opportunity to continuously improve their status in the alliance, ask other political entities for colonial stars, resources, population, and even demand that the other party completely surrender.

As the empire turned to shrinking defense, these weak political entities relative to the descendants of El Salvador would unite and force their heads of state to give them concessions.

During the long-term "pull" of the alliance, these weak political entities have chosen nationalization in order to gather their internal forces more effectively - they have developed their own living habits, cultures and customs. People who enjoy the same habits will naturally be more united.

Most political entities in the alliance have gained benefits on the road to nationalization, so related research theories have gradually emerged.

Professor Morgan, who taught at the Olin Empire University, came into contact with relevant theories when he first visited Newar.
