Chapter 3 Heavy Bribery(1/2)

The six plump waterfowls were too much for the three young people. At Dusand's insistence, the servants who served by the lake ate the remaining four ducks and the spicy fried duck mixed duck that had not been caught in the pot.

"Don't you leave a little for Mrs. Androni?" Rosen looked at the servants who were feasting, with a little reluctant look in his eyes. "I have worked a lot of effort to beat these ducks."

"With your accurate shooting technique, it is not difficult to hit twenty ducks that are completely unbreakable." Dusand patted Rosen's shoulder and said, "The ducks are cold and hard and fishy. I think my mother may not like such food. Wasting food is shameful - it's better to let everyone eat it."

"Okay, you're the master." Rosen shrugged indifferently, "I didn't see Mrs. Androni today, she's still working?"

Although Androni is busy with work, she is still happy to attend the children's "entertainment activities". Especially when Lorraine will attend, even if she is busy with work, she will leave a welcome letter to Lorraine.

If we look at the relationship between her and Lorene from the perspective of the "mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship", the relationship between the two is indeed a bit unreasonable.

"My mother is in the flower hall today. I think she may have something to deal with, right?" Dusand said with some uncertainty. It really made him feel a little strange that his mother did not show up today.

"Master, it seems inappropriate to always ask the lady to come and see the lady." Rosen reminded out of kindness, "Should Miss Luolin be asked to say hello to her wife?"

Rosen accidentally told his grandmother that "Mrs. Androni attaches great importance to Miss Lorene." After hearing Rosen's description, his grandmother frowned and commented, "This lady is really unreasonable. How can she always ask her wife to say hello to her?"

Rosen himself had no idea why his grandmother said that, but this did not prevent him from sharing his grandmother's experience with Dusand.

Anyway, the master said that the experience of the older generation is a very valuable knowledge wealth.

"Your proposal... makes sense." Dusander thought for a while and nodded, "I have to thank you. If Rosen hadn't reminded me, I might not have realized this at all."

For a single maternal and fetal male who travels from China to another world, the most terrifying and difficult problem in the world is probably the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Thanks to His Majesty the Emperor for his protection, at least the relationship between mother and Lorraine is quite good now. But this does not mean that Dusand can rest assured from now on. After working in the House of Commons for more than two years, Dusand has learned a very valuable experience.

Any relationship needs to be maintained regularly. Even if it is just a regular MP from a remote area, Androni needs to write letters to this MP regularly to encourage and urge him to continue to devote his loyalty to His Majesty the Emperor.

This is not only a simple "winning people's hearts", but also a necessary means to maintain relationships between the two sides. And these members of parliamentarians, even if they are not in the same position as Androni, will at least maintain a relatively peaceful attitude in terms of face.

From this perspective, Dusand believes that Lorraine may indeed need such an opportunity to take the initiative to say hello to Androni.

"Then let's go together." After much consideration, Dusand decided to take Loreen and Rosen to the flower hall. If her mother was busy with things and was inconvenient to meet Loreen, at least she would know that Loreen had been here.

Walking from the lakeside to the flower hall, it takes about a quarter of an hour to get there. Dusand and Lorraine were chatting while walking. It can be seen that Lorraine is a little nervous now - just halfway through the journey, she asked Dusand three times if her hairstyle was neat.

"Okay, calm down a little bit." Dusander gently grabbed Lorraine's hand and pinched it slightly hard and said, "You called you to marry me four years ago. Such things always happen."

Lorraine's eyes were a little dull. After a few seconds, she said with a slight angrily, "I have been wasting most of my time in mathematics and imperial law in the past four years. How can I have time to prepare?"

This is completely a matter of being unwilling to make trouble. But because of Lorraine's performance and her just right "anger", this behavior not only makes people feel annoyed, but also has a unique feeling of youthful shame and annoyance. Dusander chuckled twice and asked deliberately, "Then if you are not prepared, let's just stop going?"

Lorraine glared at Dusand without a word. She walked forward a few steps, then suddenly stopped, and stared at Dusand without saying a word.

"What's wrong?" Dusand asked with his head turned, "decided not to go?"

"It's ready!" Lorraine stuffed her white little hand into Dusande's hand, then turned her head and pulled Dusande and continued to walk forward.

Rosen, who had been behind the two of them for several positions, vaguely felt that he followed him to say goodbye to Mrs. Androni... might be a bit redundant.

The three young men followed six guards, not that Dusand or Lorraine had too much pomp, but that they were patrolling.

Todd and Tom are Dusande's bodyguards, and they follow the little master closely like Dusande's shadow. Except for sleeping at night, the two almost never leave Dusande too far away.

Only when Dusand and Lorene were on the boat before, these two guards were very sensible and hid far away from the shore to take charge of the alert work.

It is not an easy job to protect Dossand. Compared with other nobles, Dossand is like a child with ADHD.

He couldn't rest for a moment.

When guarding other nobles, most of the time the guards had to face were just long-term standing. But at Dusand, it was a luxury to stand in place for a while.

Since Dusand returned from Bosenke, he has started to rush around the city. He visited the slums, talked to carriage drivers and ordinary poor people, and even went to Norf Street where the warblers and gangsters were everywhere.

Dusand never talked about the conversation with these people. Especially when he went to Norf Street, in order to let the people there put aside their guard, Todd and Tom even had to put on makeup and pretend to be "guests", and then took Dusand to stalk on Norf Street to find out the news.

After becoming Androni's chief private secretary, Dusande not only did not decrease, but even increased. The two guards had to follow Dusande to repeatedly set off from the House of Commons of Upper Albin every day, and then head to the administrative departments distributed in every corner of Upper Albin.

Such high-intensity work made both professional guards complain secretly, but Dusander had no intention of "take a break" at all. He maintained his work intensity with extremely high enthusiasm, and also gave them the two of them a holiday rotation from time to time.

He was diligent and did not look like a fourteen-year-old chief private secretary, nor was he a Lord.

The flower hall is not far away. With his good eyesight, Dusand quickly discovered a fat man standing outside the flower hall.

It was not unusual for the people who came to visit Androni to bring their entourage. Dusand didn't care too much - it was just that the figure looked a little familiar.

Perhaps it was the follower brought by the man who had visited his mother? Dusande speculated about the other party's identity with some uncertainty. The "professional training" he received in Ika required Dusande to be highly sensitive to people at all times. This has almost become Dusande's "occupational disease".

Unlike other red postman, most of the trainings that Dusand received at the Heraldry Management Office are highly applied in the field of intelligence collection. No matter how arrogant Bourne is, he will never let Dusand receive training from the action team.

Dusander is a good at intelligence. He can even take out intelligence from a group of gangsters and guide the Emblem Management Office to finally capture an earl suspected of smuggling the Ipsilon Mine.

It would be a waste to have such talents wear steam knight armor to do operations.

In order to make talent come in handy, the Emblem Management Office's training for Dusande began to develop in the direction of intelligence collection and intelligence analysis. Dusande's learning is also very effective.

He thought the fat man's back looked familiar. But what puzzled Dusander was that he couldn't remember where he had seen such a fat man.

Dusand thought for a while, then slowly pulled Lorraine and stopped.

"What's wrong?" Lorraine stopped, turned to look at Dusand and asked, "Why didn't you leave suddenly?"

"You wait for me here for a while." Dusand did not explain anything in detail. After all, it really didn't sound reliable based on his own "not impressed". He just signaled Lorene to wait first, and then ordered Todd to accompany him. Then he took Tom to the flower hall.

The fat man standing there was facing the flower hall. Dusand could see from behind his back that the sweat under his armpit had soaked the fabric under his jacket.

The weather was not very hot. Dusander frowned even deeper, and I wonder if this fat man had any strange disease or other problems.

As he got closer and closer to the fat man, Dusander's sense of "familiarity" in his heart was almost physical. But he just couldn't remember where he had seen this person.

"This person may be a little problem," Dusand whispered to Tom who was following him, "Be smarter later, and call someone immediately if something is wrong."

Dusand stood about seven or eighty-eighty-yol behind the fat man, then stopped and raised his voice and said, "Sir, you look familiar, have we seen it?"

The fat man standing there suddenly became clever.

Dusand even felt as if he had seen the fat man's body rippling from top to bottom.

"Mr. Lord..." The fat man rubbed his hands nervously, then turned around and nodded and bowed, "This is a coincidence. I didn't expect that I actually saw you here..."

Dusander's pupils suddenly shrank.

He does know this fat man's face. But... shouldn't he have died long ago?

The scene was in a tense silence. Tom frowned and thought for a while, then suddenly woke up.

He had also seen this fat man, right in the St. Saar restaurant - he was the fraudster who was arrested on the spot by Mr. Lord!

Tom looked at Dusande nervously, and he remembered clearly that the fraudster who impersonated the royal department badge was arrested on the spot by Dusande and handed over to the Nusal Emblem Management Office. According to the law, the fraudster was never likely to survive. If he could escape from the prison cell of the Nusal Emblem Management Office, he would definitely be a highly dangerous person.

Tom's body reacted faster than he could figure it out. He rushed to the middle of Dusand and Feuerbach in one step, and used his body to firmly block Dusand.

Then he pulled out the pistol from the holster under his coat and aimed at Feuerbach's head.

"Mr. Lord, please let this nervous guard take the gun back." Feuerbach continued to nod and bow with a flattering look, but there was no tension on his face that humans would feel as if they were described by the gun.

He pointed to his head and said with a smile, "This little man's head is still ready to continue to contribute a little insignificant power to His Majesty the Emperor."

"Whose minion are you?" Dusand patted Tom on the shoulder, signaling him to put down his pistol, and asked, "If it's convenient, why not introduce yourself again. Where are you from, Mr. Feuerbach?" Dusand raised his eyebrows and said with a sneer, "Don't tell me that Hell has opened a regular ship directly to Nuozal."

"My loyalty belongs entirely to His Majesty the Emperor." Feuerbach shook his body twice, narrowing his eyes into a curved slit. "This time, I followed Mr. Bilson, Senior Representative for United Mining, to visit Mrs. Androni, Speaker of the House of Commons."

Dusander's pupils suddenly shrank.

The questions that had been bothering him before were finally solved. How could an ordinary fraudster be fooled by the Empire with the prospector badge of the Mining Consortium for several years?

But if you think about it the other way around, there is no problem - a real mining consortium prospector will usually be bored and cheat everywhere, and then successfully escape from the crime with his identity... This is completely reasonable.

As for why he was bored and cheated everywhere, Dusand didn't plan to figure it out.

That doesn't matter.

"What are they doing? Why are they standing still? "Far away, due to the angle problem, Lorraine and Rosen could only see the backs of the two - Tom suddenly blocked Dusande with his body, and then was called away by Dusande.

This situation is really confusing.

The moment the fat man turned around, Todd protected Lorraine with his body. He was also very nervous now - Todd remembers Feuerbach's appearance.

"Miss, please stand behind us and don't move." Rosen stood beside Todd, and used his body to block Lorraine.

"Mr. Todd, what should I do next?" Rosen's company has an armed security business. Although he has never taken over the "guard" type of mission, Rosen, who often comes into contact with Doosand, has some "knowledge" about this situation. "Do I need to call for support?"

Todd quickly evaluated the situation at the scene and said to Rosen, "Mr. Rosen, please go to the main building to find guards, and then tell them that there is a Blue-14 situation in the flower hall, please help them quickly."

"Blue-14" is the code name for "there are highly dangerous targets that require hidden armed support", and it is the code name only known to the guards in the manor.

In fact, according to the safest plan, Todd should first escort Lorraine away from this potentially dangerous place, and then take the support back to the outside of the flower hall. However, the situation at the scene was unclear, and Todd was really not sure whether Tom could protect Lord Dusand alone when he left.
