Chapter 9 Basilisks
Chapter 9: Basilisk Monster ()
It is called the Snake monster because its size is too huge. During college, I have visited the zoo twice and saw all kinds of snakes in the reptile hall, but even the largest reticular python in the center of the venue is not as big as the red phosphorus giant snake. The Snake monster's body is orange-red, with a huge head, almost twice its body, with huge mouths and fangs and twinkle eyes. There are many black thorns on its head, which are very inconsistent with its body color. The black horns all grow backwards, as if they have a head combed. The Snake monster's body is nearly one person's thickness, and it is impossible to tell how long it is, but it is probably about twenty meters. The Snake monster's body gradually poked out of the water and climbed ashore bit by bit, and the black Nobuko kept sucking and vomiting in his mouth.
Since the snake monster suddenly rushed out of the water, I kept opening my mouth wide and not closing it. Because I was extremely frightened, I forgot howling. Although I had always felt something was wrong in the cave before, I never thought that such a strange creature would appear. My mind was blank at that time, and I just kept chanting in my heart: I am definitely dead this time.
The snake monster's movements were not very fast. While climbing from the water to the shore, the giant with triangles was swaying left and right to find the target of attack. At this time, I was still standing there blankly looking at it. Although I knew very well that this thing was very dangerous, my legs were just out of control and were still motionless.
The snake monster seemed to have discovered my existence, turned his head to my side, and slowly crawled towards me.
At this time, I heard a man behind me screaming: "Run!" As soon as this sound came out, I woke me up from my confusion. I turned my head to look at it, so dark that I couldn't see clearly, but the sound seemed to be the bearded man.
The man shouted again, "Don't you run?"
I finally came to my senses at this time and realized that I was about to be buried in the snake's belly. I didn't have to think too much and ran towards the direction of the sound. I ran to the other end of the empty field. As the firelight in my hand approached, the figure of a beard gradually appeared in the shadow. He stood on a big rock four or five meters high, and I don't know how he got up.
When I saw the bearded man, I felt an indescribable feeling, both hated and happy. I hated that he really hurt me a lot, because I suffered too much, and now the snake monster is behind me. I don’t know whether I can survive. I was happy that I searched for him for a long time, and now it finally appeared. I felt like I had a sense of plausible dependence in my heart.
I ran to his feet quickly, and before I could speak, he pointed at my torch and said anxiously: "Fire! Extinguish the fire soon, it can see you!"
I was shocked when I heard this, thinking that why I was so confused? The snake's vision was not good and I shouldn't see me, but the fire was just a bright light for it! I quickly threw the torch on the ground and stepped on it. But the burning shoes were burning too strong, and I didn't wear shoes on both feet. After stepping a few times, not only did I stop it from extinguishing it, but instead ignited the clothes wrapped around my feet.
I scrambled to take off my clothes from my feet, looked up at the bearded man with a look of help. The bearded man shook his head helplessly, jumped down, stretched out his feet to wipe out the burning clothes, picked them up and handed them to my hand. Then he grabbed the shoes on the ground and threw them out in the distance, as if he was not afraid of being hot at all. Then he turned to me and said, "Hold my neck."
I was stunned by what he said, thinking that what is this for? Are the passions of two big men hugging each other on such occasions?
Before he could come back, he suddenly came over, held my back with his left hand, and snatched my right hand at the bend of my knee. I was immediately hugged by him horizontally in his arms. The moment I was picked up, I couldn't help but wrap his neck with both hands to avoid falling to the ground. The current situation is no different from the groom's posture of hugging the bride at the wedding. The only difference is that they are a man and a woman, dressed brightly. We are two big men, both shirtless and covered in mud.
I was hugged by him like this, and my face turned red and I shouted to him, "What are you doing?" The bearded man ignored me and turned to face the big stone he had jumped off just now.
The big stone is about four or five meters high and is surrounded by six or seven people in width. The left side of the big stone is about two meters away from the cave wall, and we are now standing in the gap between the huge stone and the cave wall.
Suddenly, the bearded man hugged me and jumped to the right side, almost 1 meter high from the ground, flying towards the big rock on the right. In the moment in the air, he kicked his right leg on the big rock, and with the force, he jumped more than 1 meter high to the upper left, and jumped towards the cave wall. Then, his left foot kicked on the cave wall again, and we jumped out to the upper right side again. I only felt that I had walked in a z-shaped shape in the air, jumping up three times in a row, and then landed smoothly.
The bearded man put me down and made a gesture to tell me not to speak. I could not care about that much. The bearded man's jump just now made me more surprised than seeing the snake monster. He quickly asked him in a low voice: "Who are you? Why can you jump so high when you hold someone?" The bearded man frowned and said: "Stop talking, it is coming."
Hearing this, I quickly turned to see the snake monster. I saw that it had climbed to the fire, spitting out its black tongue next to the fire to distinguish the smell in the air.
I whispered to the bearded man: "It won't be fooled. Although the snake's vision is not good, its tongue is its sense of smell. You can still smell our existence in a while."
The bearded man seemed very calm: "I know, wait for it." These six simple words were like a calming pill. My initial fear disappeared halfway, and I vaguely felt in my heart that with this person, I would be destined.
I asked him again, "This is the danger you just said?" He shook his head, "No, how did I know that there is this monster? I asked you to leave quickly just now, why didn't you leave? What are you doing when you come back?"
It would be fine if he didn't mention it, but I was immediately angry when I mentioned it, and said angrily: "Nonsense, you are hiding in this broken cave. Your enemy is looking for revenge on you and blocking the entrance of the cave. Can I get out of me?"
The bearded man seemed to not understand what I said, and asked me in surprise: "What enemy? Who blocked the entrance of the cave?" I said you don't know. When I climbed out just now, the entrance of the cave was blocked tightly and I couldn't get out at all. This was not what your enemy did? The bearded man shook his head and said he didn't know. He had no enemies. He only entered the cave a few dozen minutes earlier than me.
I still want to ask again, but the bearded man suddenly covered my mouth alertly, asking me not to make any more noises, and then pointed to the snake monster.
At this moment, the snake monster had already noticed that the fire was not its target and turned its head to our side. While spitting out black and purple letters, it slowly crawled over. Unexpectedly, when its tail passed by the fire, it began to slap at the fire, and it knocked out the fire in a few seconds.
The cave suddenly returned to darkness, and I couldn't even see the bearded man in front of me. The surroundings were surprisingly quiet, and I could only hear the rustling sound of the snake monster crawling. The sound was approaching in our direction little by little, and there was a pungent smell of fishy smell. The atmosphere made me nervous again, and I was sweating all over. I trembled and asked the bearded man softly: "What should I do? Are you really waiting for it to come?" The bearded man "shush" and stopped talking.
I can only obey my own wishes. I am not able to escape from the monster's mouth. Judging from the bearded man's confident appearance, I guess he really has a solution.
As he was thinking about it, his ears were getting closer and closer, and he couldn't help but hold on to the amulet and prayed silently in his heart.
Suddenly, a light shot out in front of me. It turned out that the bearded man turned on the flashlight toward the bottom. I hurriedly looked down and saw that the big snake had climbed under the stone, as if he was trying to get up. The flashlight shone straight on its face, which seemed to have angered it, and actually raised his head and screamed at us.
I was shocked and thought to myself, how could this snake scream? It should have no vocal cords? It seems that it must be an alien, and it is truly a strange snake.
Before I could think about it, I suddenly saw a big bearded man lifting a stone the size of a millstone from beside him and throwing it down at the snake's head. The snake monster seemed to feel something flying in and jumped forward quickly, but it was too late. Although he avoided the blow on his head, the stone still hit the center of his body. The snake monster howled and twisted on the ground.
I was very glad to see that I had smashed the basil monster and was about to applaud and praise it, but I saw the bearded man nervously saying, "Oh no!" Then I patted me: "Come up quickly, let's go down, you can't kill it. This monster has great power and can't suppress it, and I'm afraid I can break free in a while."
I quickly looked down when I heard this, and the stone pressing on the snake was indeed swinging back and forth on it, and it was about to roll down to the side.
This shock was extraordinary. It seemed that not only did not kill the snake, but it angered it even more. It would be strange if it waited for it to break free and not fight for us. It was important to save our lives, and we didn't care about the embarrassment and hurriedly jumped into the bearded man's arms.
The bearded man hugged me and jumped to the ground, hurriedly pulled me to the road. When he ran to the side of the snake monster, the bearded man suddenly shouted: "Be careful!" Before I could understand what was going on, the snake monster's tail suddenly swept towards me.
I subconsciously turned around and wanted to hide, but the snake's tail came too fast. Before I could make any moves, the snake monster's tail hit my chest heavily. My eyes went black and I fell a few meters away. I lay on the ground and felt unbearable pain, my blood surging, and I vomited blood.
The bearded man didn't say anything, and ran over to carry me on his back and ran out. I looked back on his back, and saw that the snake monster had already broken free from the stone and came to us with grinning.
The bearded man ran on me with his back, which was much faster than I was in my best condition. I collapsed on his back and felt a vague sound of wind coming from my ears. In the blink of an eye, I had arrived at the narrowing of the entrance to the cave.
He put me down, patted my shoulder, and said to me, "Persistently, crawl in quickly." I had recovered after resting for dozens of seconds, but the bearded man asked me to crawl towards the entrance of the cave, which made me confused. I asked in confusion: "I told you just now that the entrance of the cave was blocked, did you forget? Climbing in is a dead end!"
At this time, the rustling sound was heard behind me, and the snake monster had already followed. The bearded man looked back and turned to me and said anxiously: "Climb in! I will let you climb, you can climb, I have a way!"
Now this person has completely become my spiritual pillar. He said that he has a way, but he must have a way. After hearing him, I immediately crawled in without thinking, and the bearded man followed me in.
The crawling of these few meters was really the most force I had in my life. I used all my strength to arch towards the entrance of the cave, but I didn't care that my legs were rubbed. When I reached the entrance of the cave, I was already covered in sweat and blood. As well as the pain after being hit, I lay on the big rock blocking the entrance of the cave and could no longer move.
The bearded man crawled behind me, stopped at a contracting position at the entrance of the hole, then shrank all over and turned around, sitting on the ground facing the hole, posing in a posture to wait for the arrival of the snake monster.
At that time, the snake monster had already crawled over in a blink of an eye, staring at the bearded man with extremely fierce eyes, and kept screaming.
I felt a little desperate at this moment, thinking that no matter how powerful a bearded man is, he would not be able to compete with such a huge snake monster head-on. If he had such strong abilities, he would not have pulled me all the way. It seems that today is really a bad day for me. From the bad luck in the morning to the present, I have no way around and am destined to die here.
