Mono Lake (Tounolake) is a saltwater lake in the wilderness outside the east gate of Yosemite National Park, one of the oldest lakes in North America.

The saltiness of Lake Mono is twice that of ordinary sea water, and the chimney-like accumulations formed by calcification by the lake are very distinctive.

However, Li Shenxing only stopped on the side of the road for a short time, took a few photos with Hyoly and continued on his way.

I have checked the weather forecast for the beautiful resort before and know that the temperature is relatively low and the wind is relatively strong, so today they specially wore thickened down jackets, cotton hats, and snow boots from the suitcase and put them on.

Route 395 turns 12 otiogaroad into the east gate of Yo-Semi-Te. The snow-capped mountains surrounding the distance are close to each other. There are several feet of snow piled up on both sides of the road. The melting snow water at the foot of the mountain forms the sound of a turbulent river. After being filtered by the snow, the air smells sweet, as if it brings people into a pure and unblended wonderland, which is very intoxicating.

At around 1:00 noon, they finally arrived at the entrance to the east gate of Yosemite National Park.`

As usual, Li Shenxing took out his annual card and handed it to the park staff to register. After hearing from the staff, he said that they had just gotten a university two days ago. If they came in advance, the road would definitely not be open yet.

This made them feel glad that the right time came and left the door and continued walking in.

Their first parking spot was the very beautiful plateau lake next to the Teoga Highway. There is a large shallow on the west side of the lake. The lake water is clear and it is very suitable for water and resting in hot weather.

Snow can be seen everywhere here. So in order not to prick the eyes, it is best to wear sunglasses.

There are sections of logs placed on the side of the road near the shallows, which is to prevent cars from falling into the shallows, and of course they can also be used as a resting stool. Hyori sat on the logs and asked Li Shenxing to take photos of her.

However, taking photos also comes at a price. The pants were hooked by small thorns in the wood, and a small hole was broken.

The scenery by the lake is beautiful. On the other side of the lake is snow-capped mountains. You can tell at a glance that this is a good background for taking pictures. Hyoly immediately posed for Li Shenxing to take a photo.

In the end, Li Shenxing was not willing to let Hyori blow the cold wind. After taking a photo together, he got in the car and continued walking forward.

Next we arrived at the second attraction and parked the car in the parking lot. Lee Shenxing and Hyoly got out of the car with trekking poles.

This is the attraction you see from the map. From the parking lot, you can climb up the stone wall to see the valley scenery from a distance. It is said that this valley is very worth a visit to tourists.

They only realized that this was a stone mountain, with less than one-tenth of the soil on the mountain, but even so, there were still many trees growing on the mountain.

These trees took root here against a little soil in the cracks of the rocks, and then grew into tall trees, and the roots would extend along the cracks of the stones to places where there was soil. I don’t know how these trees knew where there was soil. It was amazing.

Although the sun was hanging in the sky, the wind was stronger on the mountain and the temperature felt lower. Li Shenxing was afraid that Hyo Li would catch a cold, so he didn't dare to stay on it for too long, so he went down the mountain.

On the way down the mountain, Li Shenxing told Hyoly that there was a small lizard on a stone next to Hyoly.

Hyoly looked at it for a long time but didn't see the lizard he mentioned. Lee Shenxing pointed at her and only saw it. Hyoly only saw it. It was very similar to the color on the rock. It was really not easy to see if you didn't look carefully.

Next, they drove to the Visitor Center in Yosemite National Park, parked the car, went to the Visitor Center to get a map, and also asked the staff to find out if there were any good park plans.

After listening to the staff's introduction, Li Shenxing and Hyoly decided on today's itinerary.

Taking the map, they returned to the RV, put on their backpacks, hung up their cameras, and locked the car and walked to Station No. 6 at the entrance of the Visitor Center.

Because I got here late and it was not suitable to go too far, they were waiting for a waterfall trail called Yusemite. The whole journey was 17km, and it took about 50 minutes to hike.

Take Bus No. 6 to get off the Yosemite Falls Trail. This hiking trail is easy to walk, with a short distance and a flat road. You can look up at the spectacular scenery of Yosemite Falls hanging down.

Yosemite Falls have the most abundant water volume from the end of October to the beginning of August of the coming year. August and September to early October are the dry seasons, and the amount of snowfall and rain will not recover.

When spring comes, the ice and snow melt, so Yosemite Waterfall is the most spectacular in May, with the sound of water like thunder, shaking the earth.

So, it is not the best time for them to visit Yosemite National Park now.

Walking on such a trail feels really great, with mountains and waters, it would be even better if it was summer.

On the way, they also encountered many small animals, cute little squirrels, unknown black birds, and saw a deer eating grass on the side of the road.

After a while, I returned to the parking lot and waited for the bus, where they saw many photography enthusiasts fiddling with tripods in the direction of the waterfall waiting for the sunset to photograph the waterfall.

When I got back, the bus took another road. You can see the waterfall flowing down the mountain from afar. It is really beautiful.

Compared to Huangshui Park, Hyori prefers this Yosemite Park. The trees here are not very lush. You can still see a flat grass. Walking on the trail makes people feel very leisurely and comfortable.

No wonder, locals often drive here for a walk on weekends, breathe the fresh air here, and relax the compact pace of urban life.
