Chapter 473 "He Jie Watch"

Resisting the urge to look at the identification conclusion, Li Yi slowly opened the scroll, but as soon as he looked, his brows frowned. Could it be...

This is a vertical axis colored paper, with a horizontal axis about 70 cm, while the vertical axis is almost twice that of the horizontal axis.

The close-up view of the picture is a few willow trees with soft branches and twisted trunks, winding along the mountain streams. In the distance, there is a hazy distant mountain in the smoke and clouds.

This painting, with the painter's delicate brushstrokes, and the smoke and chaos arise between the dots and the contours of the willow trees and the light smoke and mist in the mountains, forming a wonderful picture of smoke and willows.

On the right side of the picture is the inscription, a delicate regular script, with the beginning of the four words "Spring Clouds, Smoke and Willows", followed by the painter's introduction to the painting.

"The scenery of the Three Springs is collected and painted, prosperous in Huichong, and the New Year..."

The signature after the inscription is Wu Hufan, and two seals are left, one is Wu Hufan seal, and the other is an idle seal, "It is considered that the rivers and mountains are even heavy at times."

In addition, there are two seals for collection on the picture: Yang Renkai Seal and Mu Yulou.

Li Yi knew that Wu Hufan, whose real name was Wu Wan, was signed by Hufan. He was the grandson of Wu Dacheng, a famous calligrapher and painter in the Qing Dynasty. In the 1930s and 1940s, he was called "Three Wus and One Feng" together with Wu Waiqiu, Wu Zishen and Feng Chaoran. At that time, their works were popular all over the country and were praised by countless people.

In addition, as a famous appraisal expert, Wu Hufan is also known as the "Two Birds of Appraisal" with the collector Qian Jingtang.

The "Three Wus and One Feng" are all known for their landscapes, and Wu Hufan is the best. His painting style is beautiful and plump, with dark colors, and the clouds are floating, and the springs and stones are washed away.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wu Hufan wrote "Atomic Bomb Radiation Map". His wonderful strokes of the smoky and slutty were noticed by many leaders of the People's Liberation Army. He publicly asked to use his paintings as plate-prints for propaganda, which shows how profound the influence of his paintings was.

During the Republic of China period, Wu Hufan served as a member of the Standing Committee of the National Art Exhibition of the Ministry of Education for a long time, and participated in the initiation of the establishment of the Chinese Art Association, and was an important member of the organization.

Therefore, if the elders of this family had served as high-ranking officials in the Republic of China government, it would be easy to buy a work by Wu Hufan, so this painting should be a genuine work.

But no matter how high Wu Hufan's achievements are, no matter how good this painting "Spring Clouds and Willows" is, as a work painted in 1939, it is impossible to have such cool air.

Therefore, there is only one explanation for this situation, either the painting in the picture or the painting hidden in the scroll. In short, there must be another amazing work hidden in this scroll!

After turning on the spiritual appraisal card, Li Yi began to see through the picture. Sure enough, he soon discovered that in the scroll at the top of the painting, there was a piece of yellowed and rough paper rolled into a barrel.

On the paper, about sixty or seventy small characters were neatly written in regular script. Li Yi found the first line and saw that although he was prepared, he was still shocked. This was actually Zhong Yao's "He Jie Biao" during the Three Kingdoms period!

"Wei Zhong Taifu He Jiebiao, I said: We are walking on both sides of the army, and we are on the risk of the cold. I am not responsible for it..."

After carefully reading the characters from beginning to end, Li Yi shook his head regretfully. This was just a broken piece. From "Wei Zhong Taifu He Jiebiao" to "Same force as Xu Huang and fight with each other", the full text has only 68 characters, and the original text of He Jiebiao also has at least more than 160 characters!

However, even the rest of the article is hard to describe its preciousness!

Zhong Yao was a famous calligrapher and politician in Cao Wei. He was skilled in various styles of seal, clerical, regular, running and cursive. Among them, the best written is regular script, who is recognized as the founder of regular script and was even respected by later generations as the "ancestor of regular script".

His calligraphy has a profound influence on later generations. Famous calligraphers such as Wang Xizhi and Yan Zhenqing have devoted themselves to studying his calligraphy.

In terms of historical evaluation, Yu Jianwu of the Southern Dynasty once evaluated his calligraphy as "the best grade", and Zhang Huaiguan of the Tang Dynasty even rated his calligraphy as "the best grade" in the book "Shu Duan".

Zhong Yao occupies a very important position in the history of Chinese calligraphy. He and Zhang Zhi of the Eastern Han Dynasty were collectively called "Zhong Zhang", and were also called "Zhong Wang" together with Wang Xizhi, a saint of calligraphy in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. His status was respected for the time being.

Unfortunately, the original calligraphy of Zhong Yao was lost in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. What people see today are either copybooks or fake books.

It is generally believed that Zhong Yao's representative works include "Five Tables", "Six Posts", "Three Steles", etc. "He Jie Biao", also known as "Rong Lu Table" and "Rong Lu Table", which is one of the five tables.

These materials have been passed down one by one in Li Yi's mind. He judged that this broken piece would not be the original work of Zhong Yao, but it was definitely imitated by everyone.

With a preliminary judgment, he turned his attention to the identification conclusions given by the Soul-Secret Card.

The judgment about "Spring Clouds and Willows" is correct, it is indeed the original work of Wu Hufan. However, there are major problems with the identification of this residual work, because the spirit-tapping card shows that this is actually the original work of Zhong Yao and Zhong Yuanchang!

For a moment, Li Yi's mind was full of distractions, and the most prominent one was that since this painting "Spring Clouds and Willows" was a work in 1939, this scroll was definitely a product of the same era. But before that, where was this fragment? Why have you never seen any relevant records?

After looking at the remaining works in the box, Li Yi decided not to bother to get the painting first.

"Mr. Zhang, how do you sell this "Spring Clouds and Willows"?"

"This is Mr. Wu Hufan's masterpiece. My father's meaning. If you want to transfer it, the minimum cannot be less than 120 million yuan. However, Mr. Li is Yuhuang's friend, so I... will only charge you 100 million yuan."

NT$100 million, equivalent to soft girl coins, is only over 20 million. Judging from the current market conditions of Wu Hufan's paintings and the level of this painting, the price is indeed not high.

Li Yi judged that if the painting was taken for sale now and it was well operated, the auction price would likely exceed 25 million soft girl coins. However, after deducting the risks it bears and the commission and marketing expenses of the auction house, the collector would probably only have more than 20 million yuan in hand. In fact, it would be easier to trade privately.

Nodded, he put the scroll away and put it carefully on Lu Ningshuang's hand.

Seeing Li Yi's actions, Zhang Xu's eyes showed a hint of surprise. He didn't expect that he would sell a collection worth hundreds of millions so simply. It seems that if he was lucky, he might just be able to buy the money from this young man!

Fat Xiang took five or six scrolls from the wooden box. This time, Li Yi did not use the spiritual card directly, but opened it honestly. After reading the work first, he finally used the spiritual card to collect the bottom.

After looking at more than ten more paintings, his eyes suddenly lit up. This painting seemed to be the original work of a famous artist!

This is a vertical scroll of characters on colored paper. The size is not large, the height is only 75 cm, and the width is only about 35 cm.

This painting describes an ancient man sitting cross-legged to enjoy the flowers. The picture is simple and elegant, clear and bright. The characters in the painting are ancient in shape and spirit. Although the shape and spirit are slightly exaggerated, the details such as the bun, beard, temples, eyebrows, and even the lines of the clothes are meticulous and exquisite, and they are obviously from the hands of everyone.

The style of this painting, including the flowers that the characters admire, has obvious Shanghai-style characteristics, and the seals left on the picture also prove his judgment well.

The signature shows that this is a "Flower Appreciation Picture" by Ren Yi, one of the four masters of the Shanghai School in the late Qing Dynasty, a famous flower and bird figure painter, as well as Wu Changshuo, Pu Hua and Xugu, was named as one of the four heroes of the Shanghai School in the late Qing Dynasty!

"How do you sell this painting?"

Zhang Xu hesitated for a moment and said:

“32 million.”

Upon hearing this, Li Yi frowned. If it were this price, it would be a bit too high.

Ren Bonian learned painting with his father when he was a child. At the age of fourteen, he went to Shanghai City and worked as an apprentice in Fanzhuang. Later, he made a living by selling paintings. Therefore, his works are quite uneven, and there are many social works.

In the 1980s, a work by Ren Bonian could only be sold for about 80,000 Hong Kong dollars. In the early 1990s, it had not exceeded one million, and only one vertical scroll of "Zhong Kui" was sold for 930,000 Hong Kong dollars, which was the highest price of all his works at that time.

After entering the new century, the price of Ren Bonian's works began to rise sharply and rose all the way. Some of the portrait works of characters could easily exceed tens of millions of soft girls, and for a moment, they became popular works that everyone in the market competed for.

The most representative of them is the fine-brushed figure painting "The Three Duo Picture of Hua Zhu".

The price of this painting was only 2.4 million yuan when auctioned in 1997. Eight years later, this work soared to 28.6 million yuan in soft girl coins at the 10th anniversary auction of China Trade Shengjia. Only 6 years later, in 2011, the same painting actually hit a sky-high price of 167 million yuan in soft girl coins!

The same work appears so frequently in the auction market, and the price surges by about 10 times each time. In addition to creating the legend of Ren Bonian, it also makes people have to doubt whether there is any hidden truth in it.

Since 2011, the price of Ren Bonian's works seems to have entered a boom period, and there have been many works with prices exceeding 20 million soft girls.

What is interesting is that at the same time, Xu Gu and others, who were once as famous as him, have always hovered at a low price near the million-dollar soft girl coins.

However, just when everyone thought that the market trend of Ren Bonian's works would go wild, things took a strange turn in 2013.

In 2013, Ren Bonian's large-scale work was filmed on "Banana White Chicken Picture". The final transaction price surprised everyone, and only 1.05 million soft girl coins were sold!

Immediately afterwards, his other painting "Taoyuan Youjin Picture" with an almost the same size was sold at another auction with an ultra-low price of 1.09 million soft girl coins!

The myth was broken!
