Chapter Three Hundred and Twenty-One - Gunn Leinfort

The residents of Nord villages all wore very distinctive Nord traditional costumes. Norton, an imperial person with different clothes, would naturally look very conspicuous.

Hearing the greeting behind him, Norton put down his camera and turned his head in surprise. "Hmm? Isn't this Mr. Reinhardt? How could you be in the plateau outside this empire?"

Ryan smiled and shook hands with Norton. "I want to ask you about this. I am leading the students to conduct special internships as an instructor at the Thorz NCO Academy. Could it be that Mr. Norton is taking a field trip?"

Norton smiled gently, "Yes, there is a tense atmosphere of opposition everywhere in the country. I want to ease the uneasiness of the people by reporting on this peaceful foreign land."

Ryan sighed softly in his heart, but there was no clue on his face and encouraged, "I'm a good idea. I hope Mr. Norton can take pictures of the magnificent natural scenery in this Nord Plateau. I am looking forward to the relevant columns of the Empire Times."

"Haha, then I'll accept your good words."

Norton looked at his watch and said apologetically, "Sorry, it's almost time for me to set off for the next location. I heard from the village chief that there is an ancient quarry in the north of the plateau. I plan to go there to see it."

Ryan nodded, "Then we should be able to walk together for a while. I plan to go to the shore of Lake Lacclima to see an old friend. Mr. Norton, can you ride a horse?"

Norton touched his head embarrassedly, "It's a pity, because I have never been in contact with me in the city, so I can't ride a horse."

Ryan asked speechlessly, "Are you planning to cross the northern part of the plateau with your feet to the quarry? It should be dark when you arrive..."

Finally, Ryan rode his horse and took Norton to the north of the plateau from the north exit of Nord Village. Anyway, he decided to send Norton to the quarry before leaving.

Compared to the south of the Corner Gate and the Stone Column, the north of Nord is higher and the temperature is relatively lower. In midsummer, Ryan and Norton can feel the refreshing and cool breeze blowing on their faces.

As soon as they entered the north of the plateau, a giant stone statue with a strong presence was imprinted into the eyes of the two.

On the unobstructed plateau, even thousands of sub-distance distances, this colossus can be clearly seen. It is located in a mountain deep in the north of the plateau.

A large part of the entire stone statue is integrated into the mountain, and the surface is covered with thick moss like the surrounding rocks. If you don’t observe carefully, you can’t see the boundary between the stone statue and the mountain.

‘It has been more than 1,200 years since the two great treasures were merged together. No wonder this empty shell that was bounced away looked like this, and it looked similar to the container of the Flame Treasure on the Island of Bryonia.’

Ryan had felt it specifically when traveling on Blionia Island before. He really couldn't feel anything inside the container. I think there would be no difference when it landed on the Nord Plateau.

Norton said in amazement, "Is that the statue of the giant god mentioned by the elder? It's indeed very majestic. It's worthy of being regarded as the final attraction by me."

Ryan asked strangely, "Don't Mr. Norton intends to take a colossus first? Anyway, we can go there later."

Norton shook his head, "No, I want to gradually understand the unique culture of the Nord people through visits to other regions, and finally end up with this accumulated knowledge at the foot of the Colossus. I believe that I can get good inspiration at that time and write reports that resonate with readers."

Ryan praised with admiration, "I am worthy of being the ace reporter of the Empire Times. It is very layered to consider the problem. So let's go to the quarry first. Mr. Norton, are the camping tools ready?"

Norton patted a bedding roll tied near the horse's butt, "No problem, let's go."

Faced with the cool plateau wind, Ryan took Norton to ride a horse around the front of the colossus to the quarry behind. Norton planned to set up a tent at the entrance of the quarry for one night, and leave here tomorrow morning and go elsewhere.

The spiritual power near the quarry is quite strange, giving people a very gloomy feeling. Although I was a little worried about the safety of the reporter, after Norton patted his chest and promised that he would not have any trouble, Ryan left the quarry and continued to move westward towards Lake Laclima.

Because he took Norton away for a detour, it was already late when Ryan reached the shore of Lake Laclima. Under the orange-red sunset, Lake Laclima, known as the pearl of the plateau, reflected a dreamy color.

The calm lake surface and the small waterfalls hanging in the distance create a primitive natural scenery for this beautiful lakeside that is absolutely invisible in the city. When Ryan rode his horse along the lakeside, his eyes were reluctant to take them away.

"Ha~ Such beautiful scenery is indeed a place suitable for Grandpa Guen to live in seclusion."

Looking at the artificially built pier by the lake and the small boat docked by the bridge, Ryan thought of the old man with a wide range of interests and smiled involuntarily on his face.

On a high ground not far from the shore of the lake, there is a beautifully constructed wooden house group. In the garage below, there is also an old-fashioned guide truck produced by Ryanfolt. It should be used as a means of transportation for Gunn to and from Nord village to purchase daily necessities.

The boats and trucks are in the warehouse. Considering the nearby off-road environment, the owner of the wooden house should have not left at home.

After Ryan tied the horse, he let it eat the grass on the ground and followed the wooden stairs to the entrance of the residential area on the second floor.

"Dongdong"

Ryan knocked politely on the door, and soon an old voice came from the door.

"Please come in, the door is not locked."

When Ryan pushed the door open, a rich old man with white beard and white hair was sitting comfortably in a chair holding an exquisite pipe and siping the cigarette beautifully.

"Um?"

The old man was stunned when he saw Ryan entering the door, and then asked with some uncertainty, "The dazzling blonde hair, blue eyes, and his appearance that seemed similar... Are you Reinhardt from the Duke of Kane?"

Ryan smiled and bowed, "Yes, we haven't seen each other for more than ten years. No wonder Grandpa Gunn couldn't recognize him. Reinhardt de Kane, I'm glad to meet you again here."

"Haha, it's you, you're such a rare guest. Come on, sit down."

Gun warmly greeted Ryan into the house and poured him a cup of coffee.

"Oh~ I really didn't expect that the little boy who was held in Kane's arms would become my grandson-in-law in the future. It seems that my daughter has a lot of ideas."

Ryan was still very young when he first met Guen. At that time, Guen had not been driven out of the position of president by his daughter, and Alisa's father was still alive. Perhaps he did not expect that so many changes would happen to the Ryan Folt family later.

Guen's room has a lot of interesting items, including a variety of instruments such as lute and violin, fishing rods, large fish rubbings he caught himself, old phonographs and a large number of wrench parts used by guide technicians.

Ryan looked around the items in the room and smiled nostalgically, "It turns out to be Grandpa Guen's room. It seems that you are having a very comfortable stay by this beautiful lake."

Gu En smiled generously and said, "Since I finally took off my heavy responsibility for work, I naturally have to reward myself. The only pity is that this plateau area does not have the lively nightclubs like Lu Lei."
