Chapter 34 Su Wan Can't Keep Him

In the first lunar month, there were endless guests coming and going to the King of Jin's mansion. Xiao Jin gradually had more social engagements and was busy preparing for the Western Tour of the first lunar month. He was almost too busy to go out of business every day, but he still squeezed out time to see Mei'er, have fun with her, and have fun with her.

Su Wan didn't care much about Mei'er, a humble little character, but she saw that Xiao Jin was getting more and more concerned about her, but she began to panic. But she was a very thoughtful woman. No matter how uncomfortable she felt, she still looked gentle and lovely in front of Xiao Jin.

On this day, Su Wan invited Xiao Jin to Qixia Palace for dinner. Seeing Xiao Jin's absent-minded look, he guessed that he was thinking about the girl again. Su Wan was very puzzled by Xiao Jin's abnormal love for Mei'er. Even though Mei'er was a bit beautiful, she had gone to many noble ladies who admired Xiao Jin and never saw him take a look. The girl was so humble, but Xiao Jin fell in love with her.

"Prince, I see that you have lost weight recently, but no matter how busy you are, you must pay attention to your health. Today I made the dishes that the prince likes in the kitchen. The prince uses more today." Su Wan picked up dishes from Xiao Jin's bowl, and glanced at Xiao Jin's face and smiled and muttered.

"Thank you, Princess." Xiao Jin picked up the chopsticks and used a few absent-mindedly.

Seeing that he was absent-minded for other women, Su Wan felt uncomfortable as if he was soaked in vinegar. She forced herself to look at Xiao Jin and asked, "Does the prince have any worries?"

"Oh, nothing happened." Xiao Jin said perfunctorily.

Su Wan paused, relieved her mind, and said calmly: "I saw that the prince was quite concerned about Miss Mei'er in the Xixiaoyuan. If the prince likes her, how about I be the leader of her titled aunt?"

Xiao Jin was only then so determined that he could give Mei'er a title, but although this girl is quite close to him now, she still seems to be scruples. He tried her on public and secretly, but she pretended to be stupid and did not want to like him.

Maybe she really pretends to be other men in her heart?

Thinking of this, Xiao Jin couldn't help but feel annoyed again.

"I just saw that girl was smart and had no other thoughts." Xiao Jin replied with a cold face.

Seeing Xiao Jin like this, Su Wan's heart became much brighter. Thinking of Xiao Jin's promise to worship her parents, Su Wan looked at Xiao Jin softly and asked tentatively: "Tomorrow is the Lantern Festival. I want to worship my parents. I wonder if the prince has time to accompany me."

Xiao Jin paused, Su Wan glanced at Xiao Jin's expression and said with a lonely expression: "If the prince is busy, I will not bother the prince, I will go by myself."

Xiao Jin raised his head, looked at Su Wan's sad look, and replied, "I'm not busy with this moment, I'll go with you tomorrow."

Su Wan was overjoyed, put down the bowls and chopsticks, and quickly knelt down to salute, "Thank you, the prince."

Xiao Jin helped her up, "You are weak and the ground is cold, get up quickly."

Su Wan stood up with a pair of watery eyes, looking at Xiao Jin with spring colors in her mouth and said gently: "The prince has always cared about me. It is really a blessing to meet Wan'er, a good husband like the prince." As she said that, she leaned softly on Xiao Jin's chest.

"You use more. I still have some official duties and I'm going to do it." Xiao Jin pressed her on the stool and turned around and walked out.

"Prince---" Su Wan stood up and called out anxiously at Xiao Jin.

Xiao Jin stopped, turned around and asked, "What else does the princess have to do?"

Su Wan hesitated and asked softly: "Is the prince back?"

Xiao Jin did not answer, and walked up to her and stroked her shoulder and said, "I have given you a lot of rewards in the palace in the New Year. I will pick them all for you to bring them all." After that, he left Qixia Palace without looking back.

After a while, several servants held several big boxes into Qixia Hall, saying that it was given to the princess by the King of Jin. Su Wan had a calm face and asked someone to accept it.

The painting fan glanced at Su Wan's face and opened the box. She placed it in front of Su Wan. She smiled and picked up a good jade rose hairpin to Su Wan's head and compared it: "Princess, look, this hairpin is so good for you." Then she picked up a string of red coral bracelets and presented it to Su Wan, "Princess, look at the colorful head of this coral, it is really a rare top quality."

Su Wan took it and threw it aside, saying reluctantly: "Do I have fewer gold, silver and jewelry?"

The painting fan picked up the bracelet and put it back into the box, and smiled and said, "The jewelry that the prince gave to the princess can probably be put in a house. It shows how much the prince loves you, it is really envious to others. Just talk about the agate necklace that was tributed to the Western Regions. Last time Princess Jingchu got married, you took it out, let alone the noble girls in the capital were jealous, and even the ladies who had seen the world in the palace were envious."

Su Wan curled her lips, "It's just some cold things, what's there to be envious or jealous."

Hua Fan advised: "Princess, you are really born in blessings and don't know how to be blessed. Now the Concubine Zhou is now honest. You are the only one in the entire Jin Prince's Mansion. I advise you not to be hurt by the little hoof. But the prince is just looking for something new for a moment. Why do you have to be so tired of it?"

Su Wan breathed a long sigh and murmured thoughtfully: "But I always feel that the relationship between the hoof and the prince is not that simple."

Huafan brought a cup of fragrant tea and handed it to Su Wan, and said, "Princess, I think you are still worried. A humble little hoof is just an ant in your palm. What kind of storm can cause?"

Su Wan took the tea, took a sip, nodded secretly, and said to Huafan, "You should not be careful about others, please send someone to pay more attention to that hoof."

Pai Fan nodded and agreed.

The next day, Su Wan got up early, dressed up carefully and took her maid out of Qixia Palace. Before Xiao Jin came out, Su Wan stood in the snow patiently and waited for a while before seeing him come out of the King of Jin Palace. Su Wan hurriedly greeted him and saluted him respectfully.

Xiao Jin helped her get onto the carriage and turned over the horse. Su Wan lifted the curtain of the car and poked her head out to look at Xiao Jin and asked, "Your Majesty wants to ride a horse?"

Xiao Jin nodded.

"The road is slippery, so the prince should take a bus, right?" Su Wan advised.

"I think the car is too stuffy, so I'll ride on a horse." As I said that, I walked in front with my legs clamped. The driver quickly waved his whip and drove the carriage behind him.

Su Wan was a little disappointed, but it was rare for Xiao Jin to accompany her to worship her parents, and she couldn't help but feel much more relieved.

Her parents' grave is in her hometown, Jin Cheng, about half a day's drive from the capital. After worshiping, it is probably getting late. They should have been resting in Jin Cheng for one night.

Su Wan lifted the curtain of the car and looked at Xiao Jin walking in front of her. Her tall and strong back was particularly dazzling under the sun.

A glimmer of hope arose in her heart.

It was snowing heavily on the road, and it was already half a day before the group arrived at Jin Cheng. Xiao Jin accompanied Su Wan to burn incense to her parents, and personally offered sacrifices to the deceased.

Seeing that he was so concerned about his late parents, Su Wan was very happy, but she knelt in front of her parents' grave and cried sadly, muttering: "Father, mother, you passed away early, leaving your daughter alone in this world. Do you know how lonely a woman is?"

Su Wan knelt in front of the grave, and the more she cried, the more she became sad. She couldn't even herself.

Xiao Jin couldn't help but persuade, "Don't cry, your parents have a spirit in heaven to see you like this."

Su Wan turned her head and looked at Xiao Jin with tears in her eyes and asked, "I am lonely and helpless in this world. Is the prince willing to stay with me forever and never leave me?"

Su Wan's parents died early, and they looked weak again. They were born with a temperament that was pity for me.

Xiao Jin comforted, "Don't worry, since you have married me, I will protect you forever."

Su Wan nodded reluctantly with tears in her eyes.

When the two returned to the inn, it was already dark. Xiao Jin said to Su Wan: "You are tired of struggling this day. I will stay here for one night tonight and go back to the city tomorrow. I have ordered someone to handle everything here."

Su Wan's heart sank, she looked at Xiao Jin in surprise and asked, "Don't the prince stay here?"

"I have something to do, I'm going to rush back to the city."

Su Wan hurriedly pulled his cuff and said, "It's dark, so there's nothing to worry about."

Xiao Jin said: "It doesn't matter, I can rush back in an hour."

No wonder he had to ride a horse when he came. He had planned to go back today. He finally came out with him, but he was so reluctant. Su Wan could no longer hold back and stared at Xiao Jin and asked, "Does the prince just hate me like this?"

"How could it be? You're thinking too much." After saying that, Xiao Jin left the post without looking back, and quickly rode his horse and disappeared into the vast night.

Su Wan rarely used her temperament in front of Xiao Jin. She thought that he would change his mind when he was upset, but she didn't expect that he would leave like this. She was upset and couldn't help crying loudly.

Huafan hurriedly stepped forward and helped Su Wan up and choked and said, "Princess, be careful."

Su Wan held the hand of Huafan tightly and cried, "Why can't I keep him?"

"Princess, you should be more open-minded, why bother yourself like this?" Hua Fan hugged Su Wan and persuaded her with 70% pity and three% distress.

Su Wan slowly raised her head, stared at Hua Fan with tears in her eyes and asked, "Are you wrong about what I did?"
