Chapter 8 Childhood

After Qiao Yunran learned the good news that her mother was pregnant again, she accepted it calmly. Qiao Yunxi was very happy. She looked at Dai's belly and shouted: "Brother."

Dai Shi was full of joy, and she encouraged Qiao Yunxi again and again, until Qiao Zhaoshi shook her head and said, "Madam, you can let Xier and Ran'er play together."

Then Dai reluctantly let go of Qiao Yunxi. She looked at Qiao Yunran and asked, "Ran'er, do you want your younger brother?"

After Qiao Yunran knew that this world had always favored boys over girls, she didn't feel much disappointed. She understood Dai's hope in her heart. She nodded gently according to Dai's wishes and said, "Mother, brother."

Dai was really happy. She said to Qiao Zhaoshi: "My husband, others say that the child has the most accurate vision. I must be my son this time."

Qiao Zhaoshi glanced at the sensible eldest daughter Qiao Yunran, and then at the obviously ignorant young daughter Qiao Quxi. He whispered to Dai, "I believe in your intuition, too."

After hearing Qiao Zhaoshi's words, Dai smiled quickly. After she laughed, she said to Qiao Zhaoshi: "My husband, as long as you don't mind in your heart, I will let it go."

Qiao Zhaoshi was speechless all of a sudden. He didn't care about Dai's birth of boys and girls, but when his family sent him out, he was responsible for the important task of continuing the family line.

Dai saw the entangled expression in Qiao Zhaoshi's eyes. Qiao Yunran looked at the expression on her parents' faces. She reached out and pulled Qiao Yunxi and said, "Sister, go, go outside."

The biggest difficulty between parents now is just a son. This time Dai gave birth to a son, so there was nothing difficult between parents.

Hummy Qiao was very cautious about Dai's pregnancy this time. She told her daughter-in-law: "I just hope that the young grandma can give birth to a young master."

After hearing the words of Hummel Qiao, Cheng felt a lot of burden in her heart, and she was a little worried about getting pregnant again.

Cheng Shi talked to Qiao Zheng in private. Qiao Zheng laughed when she heard her words and said, "Young master must have a son. The more sons he has, the better. Our family already has a son, so you don't have to worry about anything."

Cheng felt a little relieved, but she still said to Qiao Zheng with some concern: "If I get pregnant and have a daughter, will my mother-in-law be unhappy?"

Qiao was looking at Cheng's expression, and he smiled and said, "You can see that my mother likes Miss Ran and Miss Xi very much. She will naturally be happy with her granddaughter."

Cheng breathed a sigh of relief, and she whispered to Qiao Zheng: "I'm a few days late this time, and I'm a little worried if I already have it."

After Qiao Zheng was stunned, he immediately became happy and said, "I will come back soon tomorrow, and I will accompany you to see the doctor."

Cheng Shi shook her head and said, "Dad Shan'er, I think I'd better wait for some more days. Maybe I'm thinking too much."

Qiao was looking at the expression on Cheng's face, and he whispered: "My parents are easy to get along with. You don't have to be too restricted in front of them. You can do whatever you want."

Cheng smiled slightly. Humming Madam Qiao and his wife are indeed easy to get along with, but if the daughter-in-law is too casual, their parents-in-law may not be happy.

After the Chinese New Year, good news came from Qiao Zheng and his wife. Dai was a little murmur and worried after hearing this, but she performed very well in front of others. After the time, she still told Aunt Dai about her concerns.

After hearing what she said, Aunt Dai laughed and said, "The last time you got pregnant, you got a daughter, she got a son, you got pregnant again this time, but the situation this time may not be the same as the last time."

Dai looked at Aunt Dai and whispered: "Auntie, I can't always have a daughter. If I weren't a son this time, I wouldn't be able to stand being disappointed once or once."

When Aunt Dai heard Dai's words, she became a little unhappy and said, "Ran'er and Xi'er are both good children. I see that my son-in-law loves two daughters from the bottom of his heart. If you have such a good daughter, you will be disappointed for a moment and you will be full of joy in the future.

Look at me having three sons, I still have something to say to you in the end. After your brothers get married, their thoughts will be put on their daughter-in-law. No matter how close my relationship with my daughter-in-law is, it is better to be close to you and be able to speak out in a blunt way."

Dai looked at Aunt Dai and smiled slightly. She whispered: "Auntie, I understand what you said that day now, and you said too. Ran'er's father is very good, but such a person is so good, so I must work hard to learn better."

Aunt Dai nodded gently and said, "Yes, after we get married, we must always get used to the days of our husband's family. After I marry your uncle, your mother is very good. I got a lot of advice and reminders from your mother at that time."

When Aunt Dai mentioned Dai's mother, she still felt a lot of emotion. She always felt that if Dai's mother was still alive, Dai would not have so much worry in her heart now.

Dai saw the feelings on Aunt Dai's face, and she whispered: "Auntie, I feel much more comfortable. Even if I have a daughter this time, I will treat her well."

Aunt Dai looked at Dai and said softly, "When one day the situation is stable, you can find a way to contact your uncles. After your mother is gone, your uncles will be as sad as they have always cared about you.

They went elsewhere for their studies, and they still had news for us. When we left later, we left messages to your uncles, but they might not be able to receive the messages.”

Dai understood what Aunt Dai meant. She still remembered that her uncles were scholars. When her uncles left, they also said they went to study in other places.

Qiao Yunran and Qiao Yunxi were playing aside. Aunt Dai and Dai did not avoid the conversation between them and their sisters. Qiao Yunran seemed to be speechless by nature, and she was not old, so adults were not worried about her passing messages.

Qiao Yunxi can only speak now. She doesn’t have much to express. She also understands the gossip of the adults, so that Aunt Dai and Dai can feel at ease to talk about their worries in front of them.

When Qiao Yunran heard that she had a relative, there was not much fluctuation in her heart.

After all, Qiao Zhaoshi's meaning of taking it out is that the Qiao family is not a real small family. They will always go back to reunite in the future, and there will be many relatives in her family who will not count clearly.

Qiao Yunran looked indifferent. After Aunt Dai and Dai looked at her expression, the two adults laughed at the same time. Both of them thought they were too overestimating Qiao Yunran. She was a child, so how could she know so many things?
