Chapter VIII Backfires

Children from poor families have long been born, and Tian Wenjian, who came out of the mountains, is no exception. In order to reduce the burden on the family as much as possible, he had to work and study part-time when he was in his freshman year.

Compared with female classmates, male classmates have no advantage in tutoring. Tian Wenjian, who has repeatedly hit a wall, finally found a job as a choreographer in a newly opened wedding studio.

Photography is really not a technical job for Lao Tian’s family, who opened a photo studio during the Republic of China. From the large-format Linhaf cameras that took pictures of Empress Dowager Cixi, to the Dongfeng 6920 designed and produced based on the Swiss Hasselblad 500c 120 single-reflective camera, to the Red Flag 20 imitating the German Lycra M3 head-up viewing camera, to the later Haigu Double Reverse, Lao Tian’s family has everything, and it can open an old camera museum. Even some of the tuition fees for Tian Wenjian and his brother to go to college were raised by Dad Tian’s father gritted his teeth and sold the old camera.

Photography is a skill that the Tian family relies on for life, but after decades of persistence, photography has become a hobby for the Laotian family, which directly led to the application of Tian Wenjing and Tian Wenjian's brothers who applied for majors related to Yu photography.

The rural works that Mr. Tian used old cameras to take in his spare time were often adopted by photography magazines. Over the years, he actually made him name a rural photographer.

Wu Bolan, who worked as a "monetary" photographer in Zhongnanhai in his early years, met Mr. Tian in that remote mountain village during a field trip organized by the Photo Association.

For a long time, the relationship between the Wu Tian family was limited to photography exchanges. Apart from occasionally sending some films to the Tian family, the potions for rinsing films and photography magazines, there was no close relationship. Even to this day, Dad Tian didn't know Wu Bolan's true identity.

Maybe the world is too small!

When Wu Bolan accepted the invitation of an old friend, he was a visiting professor at Jiangnan University, he found that a student always escaped from his class. This is the most unwilling thing for "Professor Wu". You should know that he is the secretary-general of the J Provincial Photographers Association and a master of the photography industry in J Provincial. If you want to make a name for yourself in this industry, who would not give him some face to Master Wu?

When the counselor brought the student who always skipped classes to work to the office, Wu Bolan realized that he was the son of a friend. Wu Bolan knew the financial situation of the old Tian family very clearly. After sending a letter of 10,000 characters to Mr. Tian, he took Tian Wenjian as his closed disciple. He naturally brought Tian Wenjian to Huaxin Club and became his non-staff assistant.

Wu Bolan has far-reaching considerations for bringing Tian Wenjian, who was just a freshman. First, Wu Bolan, who was a worker, peasant and soldier, believes that the university teaching is of no significance to Tian Wenjian. To be unworthy, Tian Wenjian's attainments in photography will have no problem with being a lecturer at Jiangnan University.

Secondly, there are so many text reporters in the branch, but he is the only photographer. Tian Wenjian's assistant can not only relieve his work pressure, but also provide Tian Wenjian with a temporary job with a considerable salary. Most importantly, with his relationship with Jiangnan University, even if Tian Wenjian doesn't go to class, he will still be able to get a diploma in three years.

In this way, Tian Wenjian became a "photographer" of the J Provincial Branch of Huaxin News Agency. In order to allow his disciples to inherit his legacy in the future, Wu Bolan always created an opportunity for him to stand alone.

The opportunity is left to those who are prepared... is Tian Wenjian's motto. In An Xiaobin's words, Tian Wenjian's experience over the years can write an inspirational novel.

In order to stay in this hidden unit with huge power, high treatment and superior status, Tian Wenjian has put in several times or even dozens of times the effort of ordinary people.

He asked his master humbly for advice and was diligent in his job. In order to keep up with this ever-changing era, Tian Wenjian took the initiative to learn digital photography and computer technology. He even mastered digital photography and picture network transmission technology that photographers in developed countries only mastered by their masters.

It seems nothing now, but it was a great thing at that time. Even the Huaxin News Agency photojournalist who visited with the national leaders was still using film cameras.

Except for the short few dozen minutes of taking photos, the photojournalists spend most of their time in the hotel bathroom. They configure potions according to strict regulations, turn off the lights and flush the negative films in the dark room, and then choose one or several of them that have the best effect and use a negative film fax machine to send them back to the country. The transmission time of a negative film takes at least one hour!

Despite this, domestic branches do not have the treatment like negative film fax. They can only provide the headquarters with the latest pictures from the province by mail.

It’s not that Huaxin News Agency is unwilling to equip advanced digital cameras, but that the price of professional digital cameras is too expensive. Taking the two-megapixel Canon EOSD2000 camera as an example, the price of its body is as high as 270,000 yuan!

Different from photography enthusiasts, a photojournalist needs to carry at least three cameras for this special profession. One is equipped with a wide-angle lens, the other is equipped with a telephoto lens, and the other is reserved for backup. How come, with professional lenses and two laptops, a photojournalist's equipment will reach one million!

There are so many branches at home and abroad, and so many photojournalists. If you change all traditional cameras into digital cameras at once, the investment will be as high as tens of millions of yuan.

The high price of equipment is one aspect, and the use of professional digital cameras is also a test. In that era when the USB flash drive was not invented, storage was first and foremost a problem. The most important thing is that professional digital cameras are all special RAW files, which is particularly troublesome to convert.

Except for ISO, shutter, aperture, and focal length, other settings do not work for RAW files. The color space, sharpening value, white balance, contrast, etc. must be processed by the photographer himself during the conversion. To give the simplest example, taking JPG is like taking a photo by yourself, and then giving it to the camera manufacturer's filmmaker's filming hand to help you produce the film; while taking RAW format is to take photos by yourself, flush the negatives by yourself, and produce the film by yourself.

Such advanced and cumbersome new technology is undoubtedly more difficult than climbing to the sky for an old photographer like Wu Bolan! This directly led to the seizure of smuggled digital cameras given to the J Provincial Branch of Huaxin News Agency by J Provincial Customs to become an extremely expensive decoration.

Not only do people not know how to use it, they even dare not use it! If such expensive equipment is damaged, who can bear the responsibility?

Photography is the "beauty" that photographers love the most, and Tian Wenjian, who loves cameras almost crazy, is naturally no exception. No matter how expensive the camera is, he and his family would rather save money on their own and always willingly increase their investment.

Therefore, Lao Tian’s family often pays attention to various advertisements and studies which store sells what products and how much it costs. Until today, Tian Wenjian will stare at the window when passing by the photography equipment store, just like a child stopping in front of a toy store.

After seeing those Canon digital cameras, Tian Wenjian felt like he was treasured and cherished it very much!

In order to master its use technology, Tian Wenjian returned to the wedding photography store invested by Taiwanese. After enduring the pungent perfume smell of the long-haired male photographer for nearly two months, he finally became the only person in the J Provincial Branch who could use the new equipment.

Since Tian Wenjian started construction with nearly one million equipment and transmitted pictures over the Internet, the J Provincial Branch has become the most timely branch among all Huaxin News Agency branches. The company leaders and the social picture center have commended the J Provincial Branch Image Collection Center more than once in the past two years.

At the same time, photography is an unpopular in Huaxinshe and will not pose any threat to others. Over time, the branches actually fell in love with Tian Wenjian, a smart guy, and gradually regarded him as a member of the branches.

When he learned that a few years ago, his master and another text reporter were almost beaten by a gangster instructed by the boss of the black coal mine. Tian Wenjian ran to the police training center of the Public Security Department and took the instructor of the Special Police Detachment and the runner-up of the Sanda National Division as his teacher. He used his spare time to practice Sanda Kung Fu. Under normal circumstances, it was difficult for two or three big men to get close to him.

I have paid so much, but now I am the result!

Tian Wenjian, who was extremely disappointed, could only use alcohol to anesthesia. Before An Xiaobin and Xiaoliang could persuade him to drink, he drank a bottle of Maotai one by one.

"Brother Jian, all the roads lead to Rome. If you can't be a reporter, you can do the Four Transformers." An Xiaobin didn't understand Tian Wenjian's feelings, so he snatched the bottle of wine and comforted him: "If it really doesn't work, stay in the army to do the revolution. With your conditions, it is not impossible for the entire general to do it in more than ten or twenty years."

Seeing An Xiaobin wink at himself, Xiao Liang quickly echoed: "Yes, Brother Jian. In terms of education, you are much better than me. In terms of ability, I am not as good as you. If you can't even live, how should our brothers live in the future?"

"Brother, can we compete?" Tian Wenjian raised his head with difficulty, stared at Xiao Liang with bloodshot eyes, and said drunkenly: "Do you know how I came through these three years? I was studying hard and working hard, and I almost got myself in. What about you? You either follow the leader to eat, drink and have fun, or pay for the leader. Although it is not a cadre staff, he is also a formal employee of the club. I have done so much for the club, but in the end I am nothing..."

"Brother Jian, I know you are sad, and I know you are unwilling to give up, but there are objective reasons to get to this point today." Seeing that Tian Wenjian was getting more and more outrageous, An Xiaobin quickly interrupted his complaint and said heartily: "On the surface, the club is sorry for you, but the boss has also compensated you, right?

Others spend money on school, but you make money on school. The total income of your past few years is at least 200,000, right? Who has the income from the whole society as much as you? I see that the old presidents in the wards of senior officials are not as good as you.

If you are not lucky, you can't blame others. If your boss and I, An Xiaobin, don't care about you, then you should be scolded no matter how much you scold, but aren't everyone still thinking about you?"

An Xiaobin became more and more excited as he spoke. Then he took out his registered reporter certificate from his pocket and threw it on the table: "Ask a thousand words and ten thousand, don't you just want this blueprint? No problem! This matter is covered by me. When you don't become this big soldier, I will go back to Beijing with me. I will definitely help you get this matter done."

Although Tian Wenjian was drunk, his mind was still a little clear-headed. In fact, what he said just now was just a complaint from his feelings, and it was not about targeting anyone. He didn't think An Xiaobin's promise was a kind lie. As far as he knew, An Xiaobin was really a man with a tough background. Otherwise, Vice President Yan would not have tried every means to transfer him to J Province, nor would he take the world's ruthlessness to promote him to Longjiang Station Webmaster.

The stronger the self-esteem, the more inferior the person. Vice President Yan was the superior, so it was the right to ask him. However, An Xiaobin was a brother. In his opinion, this was An Xiaobin's alms, which made it difficult for Tian Wenjian to accept An Xiaobin's help.

"Anzi, you are right. If you can't be a reporter, I can still do the Fourth Movement." Tian Wenjian sighed and stood up, pointed to the military uniform on the back of the chair beside him, waved his hand and said, "Just forget about the revolution, I just need to do my duty. After I peeled off this skin, I will open a wedding studio. When you marry your wife, I will give you free services and do what you say!"

Drunk, this kid is so drunk! An Xiaobin hurriedly helped him over, for fear that he would fall.

"Liangzi, you are the same, all of them are free!"

"Okay, okay, okay, brother, thank you first." Xiao Liang looked at the messy dining table and said with a wry smile: "Brother Jian, let's talk about the film studio again. You seem to be unable to go back now. Let your leaders see that you drink like this, your life will be nothing in the future."

Seeing An Xiaobin taking out his cell phone and preparing to call, Tian Wenjian snatched it over and said without hesitation: "What is the leader? Isn't it just a little major? I'm not drunk, I'm fine, they take my way."

"Wenjian, stop making trouble." An Xiaobin looked at Tian Wenjian's incoherent expression and said, "Give me your phone, I'll ask Political Commissar Wu of the Military Sub-district to help you renew your leave, and go back when you wake up tomorrow."

"Political Commissar Wu, Political Commissar Wu, oh... I remembered that it was the fat man Wu with a stinky face." Tian Wenjian broke free, grabbed the military uniform on the back of the chair, and shook his head and said, "I know Fat Man Wu, you don't need to make this call for me. I'm fine... Don't worry! Liangzi, help me clean up the things, and send me back now."

Thinking that the two of them were not the opponent of the drunken ghost in front of him, Xiao Liang asked with a wry smile: "Brother An, what should I do now?"

It was nothing to fall into the ground, just because I was afraid that this boy would be crazy. An Xiaobin tried his best to extinguish the cigarette's butt in the ashtray, and then gritted his teeth and said, "Pack up the things and send them back."

"Will the army leaders let him go if he goes back like this?"

An Xiaobin took out a mobile card from his briefcase and put it in Tian Wenjian's Nokia phone, while asking confidently: "Did you forget what we do? I don't believe what their leaders dare to do to him."
