Chapter 32 Walking Through Hell

Xiang Wan was thinking about what to do for Ji Zhoubai.

After all, he has helped me several times, and he will have to rely on his advice on inheriting the Xiang Group in the future.

After much deliberation, on this Saturday, Ji Zhoubai would get off work early and Xiang Wan would cook for him in person.

After working in the kitchen for three hours, Xiang Wan regretted that she had just driven away Mrs. Zhang.

She has never been in the kitchen in her whole life, and the most she can do is make instant noodles.

Looking at the mess she had made in the kitchen today, Xiang Wan sighed deeply.

Five hours later, there was only a bowl of soup on the table that looked unappetizing.

When Xiang Wan started cooking again, Ji Zhoubai came back.

"Where's the fire? What does it smell like?"

Ji Zhoubai rushed into the kitchen before he had time to change clothes.

Xiang Wan was busy in front of the stove and didn't notice the movement behind her.

Ji Zhoubai went directly over and pulled her over.

"What are you doing!" Xiang Wan was startled and almost hit him on the head with the spatula. When she saw that it was Ji Zhoubai, she took it back in time, "My food! It's going to be burnt!"

"Are you planning to blow up the kitchen? No matter how much you hate me, there's no need to die together like this."

Ji Zhoubai frowned, lifted her away like a chicken, stirred the contents of the pot a few times with a spatula, sighed deeply, turned off the fire, and prepared to cook the pot, which was even hotter than barbecue.

Discard the mushy stir-fry.

Xiang Wan quickly stretched out his hand: "I have worked hard for three hours, please let go."

Her frail little body could not stop Ji Zhoubai. He pushed her back and could no longer touch the stove.

"I don't want to be poisoned yet, please get out of the way." Ji Zhoubai said.

"Don't underestimate me, I can do it well." Xiang Wan still insisted.

She had something to tell Ji Zhoubai tonight, and she originally wanted to buy him off with a delicious meal.

What does that saying say - if you want to capture a man's heart, you must first capture his stomach.

Although you don't want to capture his heart, you should capture his stomach first.

Unexpectedly, he came back too early and nothing was done yet.

Ji Zhoubai couldn't stand the noise being made next to him, so he turned around, picked up Xiang Wan and walked outside.

Xiang Wan was stunned, "Put me down..."

What a powerless resistance.

She was afraid that she would fall, so she could only hold Ji Zhoubai's neck tightly.

Ji Zhoubai's timid expression was met with a laugh, "You can hold me tighter."

As expected, Xiang Wan hugged her tighter.

Ji Zhoubai continued: "Want to take advantage of me?"

"Can you please have a little face?"

Because of fear, Xiang Wan's curse sounded more like coquettishness.

Ji Zhoubai put her on the sofa, "Stay well and don't come to the kitchen to cause trouble."

After saying that, he rolled up his sleeves and walked into the kitchen.

It was a mess inside.

Ji Zhoubai's cooking methods were also very rough. He threw all the unnecessary things into the trash can without cleaning them up, thus opening up a new battlefield in this mess.

Of course Xiang Wan couldn't sit still, so she slipped over and leaned against the kitchen door, looked in, and asked curiously, "Can you cook?"

"No one has cared about me since I was a child, so I starved to death on the streets if I didn't know how to cook." Ji Zhoubai said coldly.

"You mean when you were abroad?"

Xiang Wan remembered that he had heard rumors before that Ji Zhoubai went abroad when he was very young and grew up outside.

"When we were abroad," Ji Zhoubai snorted coldly, "it was indeed a good time."

He turned and looked over, "Do you know how to make two dishes of vegetable leaves that others don't want and eat them all day long?"

"What?" Xiang Wan didn't understand.

"Or go to the bakery to beg, or go to the underground passage to rob. Do you know what it feels like to be so hungry that you have no strength?"

Ji Zhoubai's tone was so cold that he seemed to be telling a horror story.

Xiang Wan's back felt cold, "What are you talking about..."

Ji Zhoubai withdrew his gaze and continued to focus on the stir-fried vegetables in his hands, "It's okay, I can cook. Although it's not as good as a Michelin chef, I can still make you enjoy your meal." Xiang Wan was a little dizzy at what he said.

She seemed to understand but didn't seem to understand. She took half a step forward and asked, "Did you suffer a lot while abroad?"

She had a big drama going on in her head.

For example, a wealthy family sends their most valued heir abroad, trying to make him grow up quickly after experiencing the hardships of life, so that he can come back and inherit the family business.

For example, the fight between wealthy families was too fierce, and one of them had to send his only child to a place far away from the disputes to make his life more pure and happy, but because of this, he also had to experience some ups and downs.

Xiang Wan thought about many possibilities, but Ji Zhoubai said, "It's not about suffering, it's about rolling around in hell."
