Chapter 1038 Unnecessary Defense(1/2)

 Chapter 1039 Riddle

When Harry was a child, all kinds of strange things always happened around him.

For example, Dudley's ugly old sweater. Aunt Petunia always forced him to put it on. The more she put it on, the smaller the sweater became, so that it became so small that only dolls could wear it.

Every time he had a haircut, he acted as if he had never had a haircut. Later, Aunt Petunia couldn't bear it anymore and cut Harry's hair with scissors, leaving only a handful on his forehead to cover the lightning-shaped scar.

His classmates were already laughing at his baggy clothes, but when he was lying on the bed in the storage room, tossing and turning, wondering whether he should go to school tomorrow, when he woke up the next morning, his hair had all grown back.

Already.

Another time, Harry was found on the roof of the school while Dudley and his accomplices were chasing him. The next moment, in the blink of an eye, Harry found himself sitting on the chimney.

He was no less frightened than anyone else, but it was the adults who were angry.

"Don't play tricks," Uncle Vernon warned him before leaving for the zoo. "If anything goes wrong today, you won't have dinner for a week."

Harry solemnly promised that nothing would go wrong, and even during lunch at the zoo, when he was chased by Dudley, he did not run to the roof of the restaurant like last time.

It was a sunny weekend and there were tourists traveling at home everywhere. Everything seemed normal until he came to the rockery where the lion was kept.

To be precise, he was in a lion's cage, but now the zoo no longer uses iron bars, but transparent and solid glass.

How did he get in?

"You seem to be in trouble, friend." A giant python said to him outside the lion cage. It hissed and stared at Harry with its bright eyes.

Harry turned back and looked at the lions. Their amber eyes reflected his shadow and purred deeply. From a certain perspective, they were similar to cats, but this "big cat" was not as cute as a cat.

.

"Do you need help?" asked the python. "For the sake of helping me before."

"Of course!" Harry yelled.

"Please say it again, I don't understand." said the python.

Then Harry opened his mouth and spoke in a hissing voice.

"You still learned something from me." A snake-faced weirdo said beside him, "Just like Quirrell, you want to learn something from me."

Harry's eyes widened.

"You killed him, using the magic your mother gave you." The snake-faced monster said. "You killed someone for the first time when you were 11 years old, Harry Potter."

"No, I didn't!" Harry denied.

"So, how did Quirrell die?" the snake-faced weirdo then asked.

Harry subconsciously retreated, while the weirdo pressed forward step by step. The weirdo's face also began to deform, becoming more and more handsome.

"Riddle?"

"Do I look like Voldemort?" Cedric said with a smile. "You forgot something, Harry."

"What?"

Cedric looked aside and saw a blue Goblet of Fire lying on the ground, quietly emitting cold light.

Harry took a deep breath and woke up.

It was already dawn, but the sun had not yet risen. Ginny was lying next to her, still asleep.

Harry raised his trembling hands and put them in front of his eyes to check. In addition to the scars Umbridge left on him on the back of his hands, there was also a circular scar on his arm, which was left by the basilisk.

The phoenix Fawkes did not appear in time and saved Harry with its tears. He had already been poisoned by the basilisk's venom.

When Harry punctured Riddle's notebook with the basilisk's teeth, and when Ron and Hermione used the basilisk's teeth to destroy Hufflepuff's golden cup, Riddle's soul was destroyed almost immediately.

The same was true when Ron used the Sword of Gryffindor to destroy Slytherin's locket. If Harry was really a Horcrux, then the fragments on his body should have been destroyed by the venom of the Basilisk when he was in the Chamber of Secrets in the second grade.

Already.

"Are you okay?" Ginny asked sleepily.

Harry looked at her the same way she did now when she got rid of Riddle's control in the Chamber of Secrets and woke up from her deep sleep.

Only her appearance has changed.

"I had a nightmare," Harry gasped.

"It won't stop right away." Ginny patted Harry's back gently as if to comfort James. "A lot of things happened while we were studying."

Harry ignored Ginny.

"Did you...did you hear me talking in my sleep just now?" Harry asked after a moment.

"No, I didn't hear it." Ginny frowned and looked at him worriedly, "What were you dreaming about?"

"Nothing." Harry turned his attention to the clock in the bedroom. It was already six o'clock in the morning.

So he opened the quilt and got up, put on his dressing gown and slippers, opened the bedroom door and walked downstairs.

March 20, 2005, is the vernal equinox. On this day, the day and night are of equal length. After this day, the sunshine hours in the northern hemisphere gradually become longer, the nights become shorter, and the weather begins to warm.

When Harry came to the kitchen, someone was already busy inside. For a moment, Harry felt that her back coincided with someone's.

"Good morning, Harry," Hermione said to him.

"Good morning, Hermione." Harry smiled shyly, "Can't you sleep?"

"You too?" Hermione asked.

Harry didn't answer, picked up the knife and started cutting the toast.

"There's something I want to tell you."

Hermione hesitated and then said.

"What's up?"

"Nothing." Hermione shook her head. She didn't use smoothing agent when she got up early in the morning, and her hair was as fluffy as a lion's mane.

Harry continued cutting the toast.

"Today is technically a day off, what are your plans?" Harry asked.

"I don't know, what about you?"

"I want to go somewhere."

"where?"

"I won't tell you." Harry said with a cheerful smile, and the anxious Hermione immediately turned into an angry Hermione.

"Why are you telling me if you won't tell me?"

"The same goes for you. This is the second time you have something to say to me but pretend it's nothing." Harry put away his smile, "What on earth is going on?"

"I want to ask you about the tips of Occlumency." Hermione didn't dare to look into Harry's eyes and lowered her head to fry the eggs.

"Are you learning Occlumency? Why are you learning this?"

"it works."

Harry was speechless for a moment.

"I only learned it after Dobby died." Harry held the table knife, and the blade reflected his eyes and the scar on his forehead like a mirror. "When I realized that my brain contained a lot of important information, things

When many people's lives are at stake, I feel that learning Occlumency is not insignificant."

"sorry……"

"How is Kreacher doing now?" Harry asked. "Is he doing well at Hogwarts?"

"It is no longer at Hogwarts." Hermione said. "You gave it the locket and it is now a free house elf."

"Oh." Harry said in surprise, "That's good."

"It went back to the old Blake house and lived there for a while, and now I don't know where it went."

"It's a free spirit, it doesn't matter where it wants to go."

"Are you okay? Harry."

"I had a dream just now. I went back to the zoo." Harry put down the knife. "This time it was not Dudley who entered the cage, but me."

"anything else?"

"Hermione, do you think goblins are the same as house elves?" Harry asked again. "Yesterday Calvin told me that we are now under siege. Maybe that's why I dreamed that I was locked in a cage.

"

His original intention was to get Hermione to stop freeing the house elves, but Hermione walked to the dining table and took out a book from her bead bag.

"I borrowed a book from the Department of Mysteries." Hermione turned the book to a page. "Be careful, it's easy to get mesmerized."

Harry took the book, which was called "The Dementors Dominate: The True History of Azkaban".

The page Hermione turned to read:

I was born in a cage, but my anger made me tear the cage apart, leaving the blood of the Gaunt family in my body, solving the puzzle, freeing me, and leaving the cage that bound me.

"What's the riddle?"
