Chapter 2108 Flower Controversy Sixteen

 Chapter 2110 Flower Struggle (18)

Hokkien is said to have originated in the Luoshui area of the Yellow River. During the Western Jin Dynasty, it spread to Zhejiang, Guangdong and other regions with the "Southern Journey". Many people believed that the Mandarin of the Tang Dynasty was Hokkien, so local troupes often sang it.

Poems by Li Bai and others.

The man came riding a bamboo horse and went around the bed to make green plums.

Living together in Changqianli, the childhood sweethearts guessed,

The kind of love story that grows up together is called "childhood sweethearts". Children also play a role in the celebration ceremony. From time to time, you will see a "little general" who is only six or seven years old and only three feet tall. He rides a horse.

Holding a bamboo pole with a horse head model on one section, pretending it was a horse, holding a bow and arrow, he ran past Nick and Lin Gua.

Their costumes are somewhat similar to children on Halloween, but they are dressed as characters from Chinese mythology.

Lin Gua planned to customize a lacquerware box. Although Yangzhou lacquerware is traditionally considered the best, Guangzhou's lacquerware is also very unique. He may be a regular customer of that store. As soon as the boss showed up, he dropped what he was doing and came over.

Reception, Lin Gua did not come empty-handed this time, he also brought sketches.

The Chinese have perfected the craft of lacquerware. Each lacquerware factory is divided into several workshops. In one workshop, woodworking prepares materials and makes utensils. Then, a layer of coarse-grained clay is applied to the surface of the wooden utensils. After drying, hard clay is used to make the utensils.

The stone polishes away the clay so that the clay is embedded in the gaps of the wood. Then a brush is used to apply a layer of paint on the surface of the wood. After it dries, the layer of paint is scraped off, and a second layer of paint is applied. Then the previous process is repeated.

.

The process of scraping paint must be repeated. The number of coats of paint depends on the transparency and firmness of the paint. It may be three or even ten times in a row. After painting, you must use the sketch on the drawing.

An awl is used to poke small holes in the lines, and then the strips of paper are pasted on the lacquerware and sprayed with talcum powder. The fine talcum powder falls on the surface of the lacquerware through the small holes, thus copying the pattern onto the lacquerware.

The lacquer workers have exquisite craftsmanship, but lack a sense of design in patterns. They are no longer satisfied with simple bright or matte gold plating. They also apply silver plating and color painting techniques to lacquerware, and create designs with green leaves, red flowers and

Baihua's lacquerware, and the sketches Lin Gua brought came in handy.

Some people like Japanese lacquerware very much. Although Japanese lacquerware has a simple appearance, it is still very thick and heavy compared with Chinese lacquerware. The paint layer is very bright, but the color is not so rich.

These wonderful decorations are so valuable that no matter how picky the eye is or how careful the observation is, they cannot find any flaws. It is impossible to bring them back to shabby Europe.

But Nick still fell in love with a fan bone, firstly because it is easy to carry, and secondly because it has a very beautiful pattern. The black base paint is painted with bronze bamboo, and the slender lines make it look particularly light.

"That was customized by another customer." After learning about Nick's idea, the boss told him through Lin Gua, "How about this tea can?"

Nick felt that this little thing might not stand out among the many gifts given to the admiral.

"How much does this cost?" Nick asked again, hoping to offer a higher price to persuade the designer of the fan bone to sell it to him.

"Three hundred silver dollars." Lin Gua gestured with his hands.

Nick thought it would be best for him to go somewhere else and see if there was anything else he could make a gift for.

There are more than a dozen antique shops in this area. Compared with the shop where Nick bought a clock last time, they sell all lacquerware and root carvings. The shopkeeper showed them the masterpieces of nature, and the intertwined tree roots passed through

The whims of the craftsmen are turned into works of art. Some are like monsters, looking ferocious and terrifying, and some are like landscape paintings. They only need to carve two houses to look like a fairyland shrouded in mist.

In the end, Nick didn't buy the gift he wanted. Just when they decided to leave, there was a sudden commotion. A man held a sword in his hand and was chasing and killing several children. They threw away the car they were riding.

The bamboo horse ran in a panic towards a crowded place, but everyone around him avoided it. This allowed the children to run faster, and also allowed the man who was chasing them to kill them to catch up to them faster.

Nick decided to step forward to stop him. Lin Gua tried to stop him, but failed. When the man with the weapon came to Nick, Nick easily subdued him. The man was pushed to the ground, confused.

Said words he didn't understand.

"This man is a madman." Lin Gua ran over and said.

Nick still didn't understand. He looked at the people watching. They looked at the scene in front of them with indifference, even though the few children being chased by the madman were so frightened that they howled.

"The official is here!"

Someone yelled, and then several government officials walked over from the periphery of the crowd. The junior officer clasped his hands in his hands, said thanks to Nick, and then had the lunatic taken away.

Nick couldn't help but feel worried about the situation in Guangzhou. A lunatic could cause such a big commotion. If it was really a sane person who rebelled and rebelled, then what kind of chaos would be in Guangzhou city.

In fact, many of the White Lotus sects who caused trouble in Sichuan and Chu were hungry people and refugees. They hoped to gain some spiritual sustenance in despair. For these homeless people who were trying to get rid of real suffering, the future Buddhism promoted by the White Lotus sect was

The legend of transforming the world is very attractive, especially the ideas of "average" and "mutual aid".

"No one will help me". On the contrary, people will persecute the homeless. These people gathered into a force called the "White Scarf Army", which later developed into killing the rich and giving to the poor. On the edge of peace and prosperity,

People became scapegoats, but the scapegoats were unwilling to continue to be scapegoats and to be sheep. The place where the White Lotus Sect first revolted was Shandong, where Wang Lun was located. It was also the province where Funihan, the governor who was most active in the soul-calling case, was located during Qianlong's reign.

The worries are completely justified, and subduing the enemy will indeed cause the mob to rise. However, Funihan is a Manchu, and the punishment he receives is just a demotion.

The more people believe in witchcraft, the more people believe in religion. It is like a vaccine that can protect against witchcraft.

Those who originally lived a stable and prosperous family life will experience a round of shock here. Nothing can stop this madness except the military, unless they choose to escape, but in this way, they become the same as those who have no home.

They are the same people who have returned.

There is a story in Buddhism that every morning Kassapa would bring some food to the Buddha, and the Buddha would walk alone on a tree-lined path or near a lotus pond. Later, Kassapa would spar with the Buddha under a tree or by a pond.

One night, torrential rain continued until dawn, and the Neranjara River overflowed. The nearby farmland was flooded, and boats were everywhere to rescue people.

Although these people could reach the highlands, they found no trace of Gautama. Kasyapa sent several small boats to search for him, and finally found him on a distant mountain.

The floods rose quickly and receded quickly. The next day, the Buddha walked down the mountain with his alms bowl and went to the village to inspect the damage done by the villagers. Fortunately, no one drowned. The villagers told the Buddha that because they did not have much property, the losses were naturally minor.

.

Kassapa's disciples began to rebuild the house that was washed away in the flood. One afternoon, when the Buddha and Kassapa were standing by the Niranjan River together, Kassapa asked, "Gotama, you told me that day that a person

body, feelings, thoughts, actions and consciousness. Later, I practiced this kind of meditation and began to understand that there is no permanence in a person's feelings and thoughts. At the same time, I also understood that the so-called independent individual is an illusion.

Untrue, the only thing I don’t understand is, if we have no self-nature, why do we still practice renunciation? Who is liberated?”

The Buddha asked, "Kasyapa, do you admit that suffering is the reality?"

"Gotama, of course I admit that suffering is the reality of life."

"Do you agree that pain occurs for a reason?"

"I agree that there must be a reason for pain."

"Kasyapa, when the cause of suffering exists, suffering also exists. When the cause of suffering is eliminated, suffering should also be eliminated."

"right."

"The main cause of suffering is ignorance, which is the wrong understanding of the reality of the world. Greed, anger, ignorance, jealousy and countless sufferings all arise from ignorance. The way to liberation is to deeply see the truth of things and understand all things.

Impermanence, lack of self-nature and mutual interdependence are the ways to eliminate ignorance. Once ignorance is overcome, suffering will be transcended."

Kassapa sat in silence for a while and said, "Gotama, I know you have witnessed it yourself. Your words are not just expressions of concepts. You said liberation is obtained through diligent meditation to understand the truth of things. Do you think that all

Performing rituals, worshiping and chanting sutras are all useless?"

The Buddha pointed to the other side of the river and said, "Kasyapa, what would one do if one wanted to cross the river?"

"If the water is shallow, he can wade, if it's deep, he can take a boat."

"I also agree. If he can't wade or ride in a boat, what should he do? Stand on this shore and look at the other shore, praying that the other shore will come to him. Then what do you think?"

"I would say he is very stupid."

"Exactly, Kassapa, if a person cannot eliminate the obstacles of ignorance and knowledge, he will not be able to cross the river to the other side of liberation. Even if he prays all his life, it will be in vain. All worldly dharmas are burning, every feeling

, whether it is sweet or bitter, it is burning. Don’t let the flames of greed, anger, and ignorance engulf you. Be aware of the impermanence and interdependence of the Dharma, so as not to become a slave in the great wheel of life and death influenced by the senses.”

If you look carefully, ordinary Buddhas are half-open and half-closed. Although Maitreya Buddha has narrowed his eyes with a smile, his eyes are also closed. When does a Bodhisattva close his eyes?

There is a popular saying among the people: Bodhisattva will not save the world if he closes his eyes, but Guan Gong will kill people if he opens his eyes.

Soldiers have no constant momentum, and water has no constant shape. Those who can win due to changes in the enemy are called gods.

Buddha picked up flowers and Kasyapa smiled.

So what was Kasyapa laughing at?
