Chapter 5 Ghost Village
Qi Lechuan paused, pinched the dogtail grass in his mouth between his fingers, and looked back at the entrance of the village. It was the great time in the afternoon, but fog was rising at the foot of the mountain. Somehow, the words on the stone tablet at the entrance of the village became clearer, the ghost village.
Her eyes were fixed and she sat down obediently, "I don't like to tell fortunes in advance."
Having said that, her body was much more honest than her mouth. She quickly threw away the dog's tail grass and groped in the cloth bag with her hands.
Zhang Rishan parked his car in a hotel.
The car turned off, and he saw the child telling fortunes in a blink of an eye. He was amused, "You are having fun, get out of the car."
A sound of suona sounded.
Qi Lechuan tightly held the three copper coins in his palm, his face changed slightly, "Don't move."
Zhang Rishan didn't understand why, so he stopped moving.
A funeral team appeared not far from the car window, all wearing mourning clothes. There were two great dancers leading the way in front, throwing paper money into the air from time to time, fog scattered, and it was a bit cunning no matter how you look at it.
"I have never seen this kind of funeral method before." She frowned.
It was the first time Zhang Rishan had seen him after decades of living.
"This should be their custom."
It was not until the team approached that the size of the coffin was clearly seen, and it should be a child who died.
The sound of crying and suona mixed together made Qi Lechuan feel cold behind her back, and until the team walked over, she did not come back to her senses.
"Child, why are you standing there? Your fourth grandfather is still waiting for you to help you in the tomb." Zhang Rishan got off the car and felt no discomfort.
Qi Lechuan's palms were sweating and his lips trembled slightly, "Adminton, do you know that children who died are not allowed to be buried in the coffin? This is the rule."
The sound of suona came to an abrupt end.
Zhang Rishan looked back and saw that the funeral team had disappeared, and even the figure could not be seen under the fog.
"I've hit a ghost in broad daylight. My physical condition is not so bad. I can't be so unlucky, right? Didn't I count my life before I came?" Qi Lechuan crawled out of the car and complained while crawling.
Zhang Rishan has been with Master Buddha for a long time and doesn't believe this, "I'll tell you right, but the under-the-skin tangerine peel is never a matter of life."
Qi Lechuan calculated with his fingers, and the little face was broken. He was over. How could he forget that tomorrow will be half past July before he came.
She said it was unlucky.
After entering the hotel, there was only an old man at the front desk pounding his abacus. He raised his eyes and said hoarsely, "How many days do you two need to stay?"
Zhang Rishan asked with a gentle look on his face, "I'll ask you something about this funeral here..."
Before he could finish his conversation, the old man's face changed drastically, and he interrupted, "We have more than a hundred families, no one is dead, so where did the funeral come from? You've read it wrong!"
Qi Lechuan followed Zhang Rishan and felt more and more strange here. She took the adjutant's hand forward and shook her head at him.
Zhang Rishan understood what she meant and did not continue to ask, "Maybe we read it wrong, so we opened a room."
The old man only recovered as usual, but his attitude was still tough, "There is no room in the store."
The old man was driving them away.
Zhang Rishan lowered his eyes and saw the empty room recording on the notebook. He pointed his finger, "Isn't this room still empty?"
The old man glanced at, "This one is not rented."
Qi Lechuan was not tall enough to see the counter at all, so he could only wait.
Zhang Rishan wondered. The stubborn old man took out a bag of money and put it on the table.
The old man paused his plan and weighed his pocket with his fingers, with a greed in his eyes.
"If something happens, don't blame the old man for not reminding you."
"It's enough to live in people."
Qi Lechuan stood on tiptoe curiously. What kind of room can something go wrong?
Until the old man led them to Room No. 4, Qi Lechuan couldn't speak for several times, and fortune telling was the most taboo for the fourth, and the homophonic sound of the fourth is death, so she was very particular about following Master Qi Ba.
I followed the adjutant today, but it was very eye-opening and there was bad luck everywhere.
This room has been around for a long time. There is a smell of mold when you open the window. The windows are backlit. If you can't welcome the sun, the room will become dark and wet.
The old man left after opening the door.
Zhang Rishan would just clean up, at least there is a place to rest today.
Qi Lechuan stood at the door and always felt unlucky. The room was extremely yin and most people died.
"Hey, kid, don't be picky when you go out. Tangerine has just been in the tomb and has not come out yet. We have to wait." Zhang Rishan had no taboos.
But Qi Lechuan was a fortune teller, she sighed, "The adjutant is really a careless person."
Finally, I stepped into the door, but the first thing I did was to light three incense sticks and inserted them into the crack in the window.
There was no place to burn incense in the house, so she could only insert it in a place where people had died to comfort the deceased to rest in peace.
"Ha~, Master Buddha sent me to protect you. I think you don't need protection." He said as he unbuttoned the buttons of his collar and exposed his collarbone, feeling that this place was a little boring.
Qi Lechuan said with a "bang", "While it's still early, let's go out for a walk, I want to see if the person who just went to the funeral was a human or a ghost."
Seeing that she was so curious, Zhang Rishan did not stop her, but instead agreed. He believed that children should be curious.
They walked all the way in the direction just now, and there were traces of paper money on the side of the road. Not long after they walked, they arrived at a cemetery.
Time has come and the sunset is setting and the fog has faded, but there is no new grave added here.
Qi Lechuan couldn't understand it.
"What we just saw was... hallucination?"
Zhang Rishan said slowly, "If it's an illusion, how can I explain the paper money on the ground?"
"There are no new graves here, and there are no traces of digging graves. Could it be that they have disappeared out of thin air?"
Zhang Rishan has not been able to figure it out yet, but it will never be a ghost, it must be artificial.
When I returned to the hotel, it was already late, and Qi Lechuan brought his own quick food, so he didn't bother with the old man.
She didn't dare to eat the things given by the old man.
This hotel is even more strange. It is obviously full of people, but there is no movement at all.
She played with the gossip mirror and crossed her legs, "Adminton, do you think there is anyone next door to us?"
Zhang Rishan was eating instant noodles, looked up at her, and said in a daze, "Of course I'll stay."
The shop was full, and next door was a pair of sisters. He saw it when he went out.
Qi Lechuan rolled his eyes. The adjutant had been following Master Buddha for a long time and was not interested in such supernatural events. He was full of masculinity, but she was weak and easily attracted ghosts. She lived under supernatural events since she was a child, so she dared not beware of them.
"No, this shop has weirdness, you can watch tonight."
Zhang Rishan shook his head and refused, "Your Majesty, you can be safe when you guard it."
Qi Lechuan was so mean that he slept with his eyes closed, but he didn't lie down and meditated.
Zhang Rishan was helpless. This child was indeed the same as the Eighth Master, but he was a little more curious.
