Chapter Thirty-Eight: Delivery Disputes

There is a huge temperature difference between morning and evening in Xiaobei Village. In the slightly cool weather in the morning, the birds outside the window stopped chirping due to the cold wind.

Jiang Hao fell asleep in a daze. The anesthetic had just dissipated, and his whole head was in a daze. His blurred eyes could only see dazzling white, and it took him a while to get used to it.

When he lowered his head and looked closely, he saw Li Yu sleeping quietly on the hospital bed.

Delicate face, delicate eyebrows, long eyelashes, and a docile look.

Perhaps the people in the ward had not woken up in the morning, and it was not yet time for the doctor's ward rounds. Looking around, there was no one else in the ward except Li Yu.

A strange throbbing arose in Jiang Hao's heart, and his hand reached out involuntarily, trying to lift the strand of hair from Li Yu that fell on his cheek.

In her sleep, Li Yu only felt a cold and slender fingertip brushing across her face, and her hair seemed to be pushed behind her ears. The strange feeling of familiarity suddenly woke her up.

Jiang Hao saw her sitting up straight, and the hand that wanted to touch her head stayed naked in the air.

The feeling of embarrassment mixed with ambiguity fermented and spread in a small space.

Li Yu rubbed his somewhat hazy eyes and did not notice Jiang Hao's unnatural expression. When he saw him waking up, he subconsciously reacted.

"You, are you awake? I, I, I'll get you some water."

Before Jiang Hao could react, Li Yu picked up the kettle on the table, poured a glass of water, and handed it to Jiang Hao.

"I'll do it myself." Jiang Hao forced his weak body to half sit up.

After taking the glass, Jiang Hao felt his mouth was dry and he swallowed all the water in his stomach.

A warm current rushed straight into his stomach, so comfortable that he immediately burped.

Li Yu went to the water room next to him to get warm water and wiped Jiang Hao's face and hands carefully.

"Li Yu, I, I..." Jiang Hao inexplicably wanted to explain to her the motive of his poisoning behavior, but at this moment the door was pushed open, and he could only swallow the unfinished words.

Xiaoli walked in holding something like a soup pot, followed by the dull-witted Sweet Potato Chang.

"Brother Hao, wake up. Aunt Su asked me to bring you chicken soup."

Li Yu's face turned red and white, and the ambiguous atmosphere was abruptly broken. She had no choice but to take out the towel and basin.

Fanshu Chang opened the lid of the pot, and the clear and rich milky white soup was slowly poured out. The whole ward was filled with the aroma of chicken and medicinal herbs.

Jiang Hao glanced at Xiao Li, with a hint of complaint in his eyes.

Li Yu stood in the corridor, not daring to go in. On the hospital lawn were green grass and a few weeping willows swaying in the wind.

After Jiang Hao poured a pot of hot soup into his stomach, he glanced at Xiao Li who was scratching his feet. Fanshu Chang still felt like he was wandering in the sky.

"We can't stop picking tea. Hurry up and take someone to pick this batch while the rain stops. It will be delivered tomorrow."

Jiang Hao was thinking about the batch of Lao Qiu's goods. The dangerous thing happened yesterday and he was caught off guard, causing the tea picking work to be stopped.

Xiao Li took out the note hidden in his pocket and handed it to Jiang Hao.

It clearly says: The number picked is 200 kilograms.

Jiang Hao covered his aching stomach, stretched out his tongue and licked his dry lips, and his mind began to work at high speed again.

"Go and borrow some people from Party Secretary Li today. There is also a tea-picking team in the next village. Borrow a few experienced people to pick all the tea leaves as soon as possible this year. Ahem, cough..."

Saying these words in one breath, Jiang Hao couldn't breathe for a moment, so Jiang Hao had to cover his mouth and cough.

When Xiaoli saw this, he wanted to go find a doctor, but Jiang Hao held him back.

Fanshu Chang saw that he was panting so hard, so he poured water for him and patted his back.

"You are well rested, I will go right away."

Xiao Li saw Jiang Hao looking like he wanted to get out of bed and solve the problem by himself, so he expressed his determination quickly and decisively, and left the ward with Fanshu Chang.

Seeing Xiao Li and Fanshu Chang walking out of the door like boiling water scalding their feet, Li Yu wanted to ask, but seeing their quickly disappearing figures, he had no choice but to give up.

Li Yu looked towards the ward, and met Jiang Hao's hesitant eyes. His heart was inexplicably confused, so he had to turn his back and walk towards the doctor's office.

The morning sun set heavily on the mountainside, and people in high spirits went up to the tea mountain facing the rising dawn.

At noon the next day, Jiang Hao was packing his clothes and daily necessities, and Li Yu came in and quickly put down the washbasin in his hand.

"You, what are you doing? You have to lie down." Li Yu stretched out his hand to push Jiang Hao back to the hospital bed, but Jiang Hao grabbed his elbow.

"The delivery is today, I have to go." Ignoring Li Yu's persuasion, Jiang Hao packed up his luggage and walked out.

Li Yu looked at the basin of freshly poured warm water and touched his forehead with worry.

After coming out of the health center, you turn two corners and you'll find a large, open tea farm. The midday sun is somewhat harsh. Jiang Hao stretched out his hand to block the dazzling sun. The tea farm was filled with workers picking tea under the shady trees.

Picking tea, putting it into boxes, secondary picking, putting it into bags, and weighing are all a familiar process.

Jiang Hao covered his slightly aching stomach and bent over to check the quality of the tea. Sure enough, there were some differences in this batch. The acidity and color of the tea picked on a rainy day were not good, but only passed the test.

But faced with tight delivery deadlines and huge compensation, he could only deliver goods without conscience. Faces that were hungry and emaciated due to poverty were replayed in his mind again and again. This was the livelihood of many people in Xiaobei Village.

Everyone performs their duties, Xiaoli nervously weighs the bags of tea and stacks them neatly in the warehouse. The smell of the warehouse is different from other rooms, and the overflowing fragrance of tea has been hidden for many years.

Seeing Jiang Hao leaving the hospital in such a hurry, Xiao Li frowned. After putting away the bag of tea, he patted the broken tea in his hand and walked out of the warehouse while putting his arm on Jiang Hao's shoulder.

"You grandson, you have nothing to do but run around, get out of here!"

I guess he has been hanging out with She Zaiming a lot, so Xiaoli's words have become somewhat vulgar.

Jiang Hao shook off Xiao Li's hand, with a look of not minding his own business on his pale face, picked up the weight next to him and walked towards the open space.

Xiao Li looked at his back and could only shake his head secretly.

I have seen this person risk his life, but I have never seen him risk his life.

There was a horn sound of the truck "Dudu ............" Jiang Hao put down the scales and looked at the coming.

There was no cargo on the blue-covered truck. The familiar license plate was the truck used by the old Qiu family to transport goods.

Lao Qiu, who was wearing a straw hat and smoking a cigarette, was slightly fat and bald, jumped out of the passenger seat.

Jiang Hao wanted to come up and say hello, but Lao Qiu turned a blind eye and walked straight to the warehouse.

Holding a tool like a pointed stainless steel grain tester for inserting rice, insert it straight into the tea bag, and the tea leaves rolled into small balls will fall into the gaps of the tool.

As soon as he saw the quality, he took a handful of tea leaves and put it to his nose and smelled it. Lao Qiu suddenly dropped his tools on the ground.
