Chapter 28 About "Awesome"
"Tamagi-san, see you tomorrow."
"Well, see you tomorrow."
After the kendo practice ended, Suzuki Mamoru and Tamaki Machiyo went home together and formally parted at the door of Tamaki's house.
Seeing the girl's ponytail crossing a semicircle in mid-air and turning into her own home, Suzuki Mamoru averted his eyes and walked to his house next to him.
My legs are already sore and my hands are so tired that I can’t even carry my shoulder bag. Kendo training is really hard.
Just one day of practice made Suzuki Mamoru realize how difficult it is to practice kendo. Tamaki Sanchiyo has been practicing this way for ten years. It is precisely this day-in-day practice that has made this girl's current excellent kendo level possible.
It’s amazing when I think about it.
Standing in front of his house, Suzuki Mamoru was lost in thought while slowly taking out the keys from his shoulder bag.
Using the twilight light, he inserted the key into the keyhole and opened the door. The home was dark and quiet. Yuko hadn't arrived home yet.
"Of course Yuko is also great."
When I was lost in thought while changing my shoes, I subconsciously compared them in my mind, and when I realized it, Suzuki Mamoru smiled to himself.
He walked into the living room, put down his shoulder bag first, then suppressed his fatigue and walked to the kitchen.
I measured the amount of rice for two people, washed it and put it into the rice cooker. Then I washed the dishes. The bowls from the previous day's dinner and the same day's breakfast are now lying quietly in the sink.
Among all the household chores, if Suzuki Mamoru was asked to answer which one he hated the most, it would probably be washing dishes. Fortunately, there were only two of him and Yuko at home, so there were not many dishes.
Turn on the faucet, and the sound of running water rinsing the dishes can be heard in the kitchen.
After about two-thirds of the washing, Yuko also arrived home. The sound of opening and closing the door was followed by the sound of footsteps approaching the kitchen. The kitchen was open, so Suzuki could see Yuko when he turned around in front of the sink.
.
"Have you finished washing?" Yuzi walked to him.
"Not even close." After seeing Yuko, Suzuki Mamoru lowered his head again and continued washing the dishes.
Yuko leaned towards him, Suzuki Mamoru stood a little aside, and then Yuko's hand appeared in her field of vision. She also picked up a plate.
"Just leave it to me, Mamoru, go and rest."
"You go ahead."
"Didn't you go to learn kendo today? Didn't you go?"
"Here we go." Suzuki Mamoru put the washed dishes aside and then picked up a bowl.
Yuko looked at Suzuki Mamoru's arms, and then asked: "Aren't your hands tired?"
"tired."
"Then you go and rest."
"You go ahead. It's not so bad that you can't even wash the dishes."
"Eh"
"Eh what."
Yuko suddenly laughed.
Suzuki Mamoru looked at her, and Yuko stopped laughing, but the smile remained.
"What are you laughing at?" Suzuki Mamoru felt that Yuko was a little confused.
Yuko took her wet hands that were already stained with detergent foam and pinched Suzuki Mamoru's face. After squeezing, she smiled and said, "Mamoru is so cute."
Feeling a chill on his face, and a slightly itchy feeling as the foam burst on the surface of his skin, Suzuki Mamoru stood there stunned for two seconds, and stopped moving his hands in the sink.
He looked at Yuzi and held it in for a long time before he said, "You said something incomprehensible when you came back from get off work."
"What? Mom is praising you." Yuzi laughed softly again.
"You are obviously making trouble." Suzuki Mamoru said casually, lowered his head and continued to wash the dishes.
"You actually said that mom is causing trouble?" Yuko was not satisfied with this statement, but Suzuki Mamoru stopped talking to her.
The sound of running water covered up Yuko's muttering.
After finally washing the dishes, Suzuki Mamoru rinsed his hands again and turned off the faucet.
"Okay, I." He was about to say something to Yuzi, but the sudden "ding-dong" sound of the doorbell interrupted what he was about to say.
Suzuki Mamoru looked at the door and then at Yuko. Yuzi's eyes were as confused as his. She didn't know who it was.
"I'll go."
Suzuki Mamoru said this and walked to the entrance. When passing by the dining table, he took out two pieces of paper to wipe his hands.
"Hello, this is the Suzuki family. Who is it?"
"Suzuki-san, it's me." A familiar cold voice came from outside the door.
Suzuki Mamoru paused for a moment, then opened the door in confusion.
Wearing a suit jacket, gray uniform skirt, and still wearing school uniform, Tamaki Michiyo's elegant figure came into view as the door opened.
"Tamagi-san, why are you here?"
The girl was also looking at him who appeared behind the door, her eyes swept over his face, and finally stopped at his arms.
"I suddenly remembered it, so I came over to remind Suzuki-san."
"Reminder of what?"
"When you first start practicing kendo, your arms will inevitably get sore. In order to be able to train normally in the next few days, Suzuki-kun, it's best to massage and apply heat for relief." The girl said very seriously.
"Uh" Suzuki Mamoru still didn't react, "I will."
"Well, that's it." Tamaki Michiyo nodded.
"Is that all?"
"Um."
"."
"By the way, Suzuki-san, you have foam on your face."
"Oh." Suzuki Mamoru smiled blankly and wiped the foam from his face with the back of his hand, "Thank you."
"Then I'll say goodbye."
"Well, okay, see you tomorrow."
The girl left, Suzuki Mamoru closed the door, turned around, and Yuko appeared in front of him again, blinking.
This is a familiar scene.
"What is this?" Yuko asked curiously.
There was no use in escaping, so Suzuki Mamoru had to explain: "It's Tamaki-san. She came over to remind me that in order not to affect my subsequent practice, it's best to massage or apply heat to relieve the pain in my arm."
"Eh"
Suzuki Mamoru knew what Yuko wanted to say.
"It's not close." Suzuki Mamoru said.
"Not intimate?" Yuko repeated.
"Indeed not." Suzuki Mamoru walked into the entrance hall, passed by Yuko, and went to the living room to get his schoolbag.
Putting his schoolbag on his back, Suzuki Mamoru turned back.
"A special reminder, we are obviously very close." Yuko said to him again. From the look on her face, she was definitely trying to prove that "Tamagi Michiyo has a crush on him."
This is impossible no matter how you think about it.
"It's better to say seriousness or responsibility than intimacy." Suzuki Mamoru explained to Yuko seriously.
"Serious and responsible?"
"Yeah." Suzuki Mamoru nodded, then, after thinking about it, he gave this evaluation:
"Although I don't have much contact with her, based on my only understanding, Tamaki-san is a person who devotes almost all her energy to kendo. She is serious, straightforward, does not look forward or backward in her actions, and does whatever she wants. She said it is so as not to be delayed.
After the practice, that's true. Generally speaking, he is such a person."
Yuko looked at him.
"You still don't believe it? Then I can't explain it." Suzuki Mamoru felt helpless.
"No."
"What is that?"
"Why does Mamoru look like he knows Tamaki-san very well?"
To be continued...
