Chapter 20 Just give orders

Frederick has a problem at the moment. He didn't notice it himself, and others didn't take it too seriously. He thought it was because the children didn't know too much.

He has too high requirements for the accuracy of industrial products and has not taken into account the current actual technical level.

This is particularly reflected in screw production, and always standardizes the production level after the three industrial revolutions in life.

Moreover, this guy forgot the "rift" in "Duo Rive Steaming".

Finally, Omett told him that the accuracy of such a screw does not need to be too high, and the "Frederick Pot" can be successfully preliminarily established.

"But there is a shortage of people." Omett was a little helpless. "There are too many things to do now, and the blacksmith shops and carpenters are short of people."

Frederick thought it was the same, so he called Bryant and asked, "Now there are shortages of people everywhere. Do you know which blacksmith to go?"

Bryant was helpless and said, "Most of the blacksmiths in the territory have come here, and no one can repair the farm tools if they hire people."

"If you want to recruit more people, you can only recruit young people who can't do anything."

"But they can't use it right away when they come. They can only follow us to do some hard work, learn while working, and learn for two and a half years before they get started."

"Everyone is busy now. If Mr. Auerbach and Mr. Jackson weren't old, I would have wanted to invite them back."

Frederick frowned. These days, craftsmen are all master-apprentice inheritance, but excellent blacksmiths like Bryant have to work and take apprentices, and their training efficiency is very low. Newcomers have to follow their master to play iron for at least two and a half years before they can independently do some work without technical content.

"How about that," Frederick said, "I would like to ask Auerbach and Jackson you mentioned to come back to teach the young people who are new and do some simple work by the way?"

Bryant's face became a little weird. He wanted to say something but didn't dare to say it. Finally, he said perfunctorily: "The newcomer is not strong enough, it will take at least one year to maintain his strength."

Frederick saw it and asked, "Is there anything I don't know?"

Bryant looked around and BASF had already gone to find Slime. Omet walked away tactfully, and then whispered: "Master, the guild may not agree."

After his explanation, Frederick understood what was going on.

Like other guilds, the Blacksmith Guild takes profession as a bond and pursues the spirit of unity, friendship and mutual assistance, and conducts personnel management and process quality management for craftsmen in the industry.

The members of the Blacksmith Guild are formal blacksmiths like Bryant, at least ordinary blacksmiths, and rough blacksmiths like apprentices are not qualified to join the society.

If an ordinary person wants to become a blacksmith and no one recommends a master, he needs to register at the Blacksmith Guild. The guild will arrange the master. If the master and apprentice agree in advance, go to the guild to file a record together.

All guilds have regulations, and one master can only bring up to 3 to 5 disciples.

When the apprentice is ready to go to the master, you need to go through the master's application and the guild will conduct the assessment. Only after you pass the apprentice can you officially become a blacksmith.

At work, there is a relationship between the master and the apprentice. When the master receives work, he will give some to the apprentice, and the same is true for the reward.

The blacksmith shop in the Weisen family is actually a group of blacksmith contractors. Now Bryant, the newly promoted contractor, is the leader. The work of each team is arranged by him. In essence, it is a collection of a large number of handicraft workshops, with only simple collaboration.

At the same time, the craftsman has the power to judge whether the apprentice can become a master, and there is room for behind-the-scenes operations.

What Frederick wanted to recruit a group of newcomers and then find retired blacksmiths to teach was contrary to the tradition of master-apprenticeship and economic system. The guild might not agree, and the blacksmiths might not be happy.

Simple collaboration did not change the labor tools and operation methods of the handicraft workshop, but only worked together under the command of Frederick.

To improve productivity, in addition to new machines, new production relations are also needed.

What is advanced than handicraft workshops is factory handicraft industry. It is a production labor based on manual technology and the division of labor of employed workers. It has nothing to do with the relationship between master and apprentice. The production organization form is already the shape of a capitalist. Factory handicraft industry is the initial cry of a capitalist and the initial stage of a factory.

If there are no upcoming disaster victims, Frederick will begin to carry out gradual reforms.

But it is not possible yet. Rampant reform will definitely cause turmoil. It may happen if you overlap with the arrival of the victims. At present, you can only solve it with a different idea.

Frederick returned to the castle before supper and called the butler.

He asked Afu: "Can I take care of the guild affairs in the territory?"

Afu replied with doubts: "Master, you can take care of everything in the territory. Does anyone say you can't take care of it?"

Frederick asked again, "What if the union doesn't listen to me?"

Afu became even more confused and replied: "If the hound is disobedient, of course he will kill him and then replace him with obedient ones."

"The master's territory is not a free city like Nuremberg, and the guild is not as heavy as that."

Frederick blinked and finally understood what was going on.

He often forgets one thing: he is now a member of the big landlord family, belongs to the ruling class, and is a local emperor who does whatever he wants in the territory. Even if he restores the power of the first night and changes it to facing men, it is not impossible.

The handicraft guild is just a tool for managing civilians in his hands, so he can do whatever he wants.

Frederick figured out these things and said to Afu: "Let the heads of the guilds come to see me tomorrow afternoon."

Afu saluted the master and sent someone to inform the guilds of the affairs.

The next afternoon, the blacksmith, carpenter, stonemason, tailor, chef, coachman, dock worker and other guild members all came to the castle and stood in a row in the living room. They were all hunched over and dared not show off, and none of them dared to look up at the master.

Seeing that they did this, Frederick lost the intention to talk much.

"You all know two things." Frederick said expressionlessly. "The first thing is that a canal will begin to be dug in the territory in autumn. This matter has been negotiated with the stonemason guild of Nuremberg."

"When this canal is opened, countless cargo ships will pass through our territory. At that time, not only can I make money, but I can make money in all walks of life."

"I'm talking about it, who can't get along with the canal digging project, it's just that it can't get along with me, it's just that it can't get along with the entire Weisen leader!"

Speaking of this, Frederick looked at everyone, still looking cautious and taught.

He continued: "The second thing is that many people will come to Weisen's Collegiate soon."

"I know what everyone is talking about in private, and I also know someone is going to take the opportunity to cheat on his wife or something."

"Now I put my words here, those newcomers are poor people. As long as they arrive at Weisen, they are my people. Everyone is making a living in the same place, and no one is more noble than anyone else."

"[Wesson swears], if you want to say noble, who can be nobler than me?"

"At that time, no matter who commits the matter, I will treat you equally."

"Especially you, who want to join the union in all walks of life, must treat them as locals."

"In the future, more people will come and go in the territory, and more people will be needed in each industry."

"Now there are not enough people in the territory, especially blacksmiths and carpenters, and then stonemasons, tailors, cooks, and coachmen are not enough."

“To increase the staff, I announce several new laws.”

"The first article will lift the number of disciples that the master brings to him from now on."

"Article 2: The minimum wage standard set by each guild will also include apprentices."

"[Wesson swears]! Someone was beaten to death in the middle of the night a few days ago. Don't think I don't know what's going on."

"Article 3: Each guild will formulate technical grade standards and assessment standards for practitioners based on the apprenticeship, ordinary, excellent, excellent, epic, and legendary levels, and grant gray, white, green, blue, purple and orange badges respectively."

"I emphasize that this standard must be strict, it must be able to convince the public, and it must be recognized by the entire continent!"

"Article 4, each guild formulates a charter for establishing a training school, find a group of experienced craftsmen to be teachers, teach those who grew up locally and newcomers, and go to Wesenburg University for advice if you don't know."

"Today is July 15th, and the first draft of the charter must be handed over to me before August 1st. I will approve you within 3 days and take out the final charter as I want within 15 days after the approval."

"If I can't do it, I'll change someone who can do it."

"I've finished speaking, I'll mention anyone who has any comments, so everyone can discuss it."

"Once you leave this door, you have to execute it for me if you have any opinions. If anyone secretly makes small moves, haha, let's try it."

After saying that, Frederick narrowed his eyes and looked around the people in front of him.

He was in the construction industry in his previous life, and he could not manage it without majesty. At this time, he seemed to have returned to that time.

Ah Fu kept standing behind him, feeling a little shocked, and he didn't expect that the master was so majestic at such a young age.

Richard Nar stood outside the door, originally planning to put the apprentice in a necessary position, but now it seems that it is unnecessary.

Psyke watched the fun with a lollipop in his arms, and said with a smile: "Don't underestimate that little guy."

The members of the conversation hardly dared to have any objection, and only one thick arm was raised with trembling.

"Old... Master..." The person in charge of the dock workers' guild spoke tremblingly, "I... we just work hard, how can we have any level?"

Frederick glared at him fiercely and said coldly: "There are few young people who have twisted their waists there? Who threw a box of glass jars from Temao to the ground last month and finally hanged them? When was the last time the pile of things fell and killed people?"

"If you don't say that there are too many, you can always get the apprentice and the ordinary level, right?"

The dock workers' guild had nothing to say and lowered his head in cold sweat.

"Is there any problem?" Frederick looked around and waved his hand for a moment, "If you have any problem, go back and start."

After the person was finished, Frederick picked up the tea cup and took a sip of the tea.

Sometimes it’s good to be a master, just arrange your work, but if you don’t finish it, you will kick him in the butt.

Some small-scale reforms were simple, and there were more lords who were struggling. Frederick's grandfather also collected beautiful tail feathers of pheasants for decoration of hats.

The so-called tradition sometimes comes from the whim of a certain master in the past, and the descendants wear it without changing it.
