Chapter 264 Village, Priest(2/2)

"good!"

Levin activated the Heart of the Jungle, disappeared into the kitchen, and ran to spy on the villagers.

Mawei sat in the kitchen and waited patiently. Less than half an hour later, Levin came back. As soon as he appeared, the villagers pushed open the door.

"Sir! I bought a good horse!" The villager said excitedly: "I negotiated the price to 2 gold louis and asked them to give me a cart as a gift! It's just right for carrying goods!"

Levin lowered his head angrily, not daring to look directly into the simple eyes of the villagers. He had mistakenly blamed them.

Although he couldn't understand what the villagers were saying, he could tell a lot from Levin's shy expression and the excited and innocent eyes of the villagers. Mawei put down the newspaper and followed the villagers out of the gate. He saw a strong brown horse behind him.

It also tows a canopy-type truck body, specially designed to carry cargo.

Originally, Ma Wei gave the villagers 5 gold louis coins, which was more than enough to buy a carriage. Unexpectedly, the other party negotiated the price to 2 gold louis and got 3 coins back for him.

Looking at the villagers with sincere smiles, Ma Wei also smiled and said in the imperial dialect he knew little about: "Thank you."

With the carriage, Mawei bought a lot of bread and sausages in the village and took them back to the hunter's trail.

On the way back, it was completely dark, and the tree cover was thick and blocked the starlight. The carriage staggered through the jungle. When encountering trees blocking the road, Ma Wei would activate Siren's Tears to move his position and clear a path.

"Dad, there's someone behind you." Yunia suddenly said while eating fruit candy.

"Is it that villager?"

"no."

"oh"

Mawei continued to drive the carriage forward while thinking about the identity of the other party. They had already changed their appearance when they went to the village. Judging from their appearance, it was impossible for anyone to recognize them, and Levin was sure that the villagers did not tip off other people.

The stalker must be suspicious of their identity.

"It's probably the priest in the village. He saw strangers entering the village to buy food and carriages, and he became suspicious. Or he was someone from the village."

Throwing a mint leaf into his mouth, Mavey took out the revolver in his arms, stopped the carriage in front, and let Yunia expand the mithril field.

"Come out." Ma Wei said in Imperial language.

There was no response in the dark forest, only the sound of the breeze blowing through the leaves. Seeing that the other party was unwilling to show up, Ma Wei glanced at Levin, who nodded and disappeared instantly.

"It seems that you are still lucky."

Ma Wei took out the Siren's Tears and tapped the ground with his toes. The trees in front of him immediately twisted and squirmed to separate to both sides, leaving an open space and the moonlight shining down.

A panicked man appeared not far away. He was hiding behind a tree and followed carefully, but Yunia discovered him.

The man was wearing a black priest's robe and a golden necklace on his chest. He was the village priest.

Pulling the hammer slightly, Ma Wei raised his gun and pointed it at the man. The man was stunned for a moment, and then he kept saying something and retreating, seemingly begging for mercy. But the next second, Ma Wei pulled the trigger.

boom!

In the dark forest, the fire flashed away, and the priest fell down, clutching his chest and screaming loudly. When he saw Ma Wei coming, he kicked his legs on the ground to get away, and at the same time, the necklace on his chest lit up with bright golden light.

boom!

Another bullet hit the man's chest, and the necklace that had just been lit suddenly dimmed. The man fell on his back, blood flowing from the corner of his mouth, his body twitching, his eyes widened, full of fear.

"Sorry, the pain will stop soon."

Ma Wei raised the gun to the man's forehead, thought for a moment, moved the gun down, and stuffed it into the priest's mouth.
