Chapter 14

Author: Liu Guangyu Tail

After an unknown amount of time, Lilith finally stopped. She looked at the familiar valley ahead and said, "Get up!"

The girl in her arms did not move. Lilith lowered her head and saw that her face was pale and the blood on the back of her head had flowed to her back. She had fainted due to excessive blood loss.

Lilith pursed her lips, put the girl in her arms under the tree, turned around and left.

Further ahead is the entrance to the Li tribe

Under the ancient tree that blocked out the sky and the sun, the girl fainted on the ground without realizing it. The warm summer wind blew in, and a sweet floral fragrance floated in the air.

Gavin is a witch doctor of the Li ethnic group. He went to Mailong Forest early this morning to pick herbs. When he walked to the gate of the tribe, he suddenly turned his eyes and saw a girl wearing a black dress sitting under the tree.

Gavin thought for a moment and slowly walked over. Only when she got closer did he see the girl's face clearly.

A flash of surprise flashed in his eyes, and then he took a step forward to check the girl's body and found a blood stain on the back of her head. He immediately took out a herbal pill from his backpack and fed it to her mouth.

When Susu woke up again, she found herself lying on the stone bed. The wound on her head was aching faintly. She frowned slightly and raised her eyes to look at the unfamiliar cave.

There are many medicinal herbs placed on the stone slabs in the cave, and a figure can be seen vaguely outside the cave.

"Are you awake?"

A low and gentle male voice brought Susu back from her thoughts. She looked up and saw a man with silver hair, blue eyes and fair skin staring at her.

When Gavin saw the girl wake up, he slowly walked over and raised his hand to check the girl's injuries: "The bleeding has stopped, does your head still hurt?"

Susu looked at the handsome face that suddenly enlarged. Her breath was stagnant, and the tips of her ears instantly turned red after she reacted: "It's okay...are you...?"

Gavin took a step back and smiled: "I am Gavin, the witch doctor here. You can have a good rest here for the next few days!" After that, he walked out of the cave.

It was already dark, and the sound of men talking and laughing could be heard outside the cave, which was quite noisy.

The unfamiliar environment made Susu feel a little uneasy. She patted her cheek gently, then lay on the stone bed and looked at the rocks above.

Gavin has a kind personality and treats Susu, a foreigner, equally. His eyes are clear and his manners are polite. During the day, he goes out to sort out his herbs. At night, he rests on the stone slab in the cave. They don't talk much.

Gradually, the wariness in Susu's heart dissipated.

After a few days, Susu felt that the wounds on her body were much better, and she said goodbye to Gavin.

A hint of surprise flashed in Gavin's blue eyes. He lowered his eyes and said, "Let me check your wound."

Susu turned around quietly, and the man stood behind him. The shadow in front of her was cast into a shadow. In the dark and hot cave, the silence was a bit strange. Susu became nervous inexplicably, and he took the

Picking up the herbs on the side, he said softly: "Which tribe are you from?"

"Well... the White Feather Clan."

She lied subconsciously

Gavin's eyes flashed: "Really? That's quite far from here."

"Um."

After checking the wound, Gavin said softly: "Let's go, I'll take you out."

Susu breathed a sigh of relief and thanked her in a low voice.

Before walking out of the cave, Gavin covered her head with an animal skin: "Cover your face, or you won't be able to get out of the tribe's gate."

After hearing this, Su Su quickly wrapped herself up tightly, leaving only her eyes exposed: "Is this okay?"

"Um."

The two of them walked towards the tribe gate one after the other.

At this time, Edmund was leading a hunting team to hunt in the Melon Forest. The people left behind in the tribe were women and children, and the old people were locked in the storage cave.

Someone saw Gavin greeting him warmly, and then secretly glanced at the short figure behind him.

Gavin replied one by one without changing his expression.

Susu kept her head lowered and followed Gavin quietly.

When the two of them were approaching the entrance of the tribe, there was suddenly a sound of footsteps.

There were children around shouting excitedly: "The leader is back!"

Gavin frowned his beautiful eyebrows, and gently pulled Susu's wrist and hid aside.

Don't let Edmund see her

Others didn’t know it, but as Edmund’s half-brother, Gavin knew that his brother loved to torture young and beautiful women.

Susu followed Gavin and squatted in the bushes at the entrance of the tribe. The two of them waited for Edmund and his party to pass by before leaving.

A moment later, a group of Li warriors with rough faces and strong bodies appeared at the entrance of the tribe. The leader of the group had flamboyant short red hair. His facial features were somewhat sharp, and his pair of peach blossom eyes looked at the tribesmen in front of him with a half-smile but not a smile.

When Gavin saw Edmund and the others walking away, he walked out of the bushes and whispered to Susu behind him: "Let's go!"

Susu nodded and quickly walked towards the entrance of the tribe.

When the two came to the door, they were stopped by the guard.

"Lord Gavin, who is this?"

Gavin said: "My disciple."

The disciples of the witch doctor are usually the next heirs of the witch doctor of the tribe. The two men bowed slightly to Su Su and then stepped aside to get out of the way.

Just as Su Su was about to step out of the door, she suddenly heard a deep and deep male voice coming from behind:

"stop!"

Su Su buried her head lower, and a gust of wind blew by. When she raised her eyes again, a man was already standing in front of her.

It's the red-haired man just now.

Edmund stared straight at the petite figure in front of him, and asked aloud: "Gavin, who is she?"

Gavin on the side said warmly: "She is my disciple, now take her out to pick herbs."

A trace of suspicion flashed in Edmund's eyes, and his instinct told him that there must be something weird about this person.

The man's eyes were sharp, and he raised his hand and directly pulled the animal skin on Su Su's head: "Is there anything shameful about covering myself up so tightly?" He said as if he was ripping off the animal skin.

Su Su pressed the animal skin on her head firmly, a trace of nervousness flashed in her almond-shaped eyes.

Gavin immediately stood in front of her: "Chief, this disciple of mine is a little shy. Her face is covered with pustules, so she hides her face for fear of scaring others."

Edmund immediately let go of his hand after hearing this. His disgust for Su Su was not concealed in his eyes: "Don't go picking herbs today. Carl was attacked by the Monte tribe. Go and see him."

"Have you met the Monte people?"

"Yeah, a bunch of crazy people."

Edmund thought of what happened in the forest today:

The Li people and the Monte people are in the north and the south, and the two sides have always been in harmony with each other.

He didn't expect to meet that guy Alex in the forest today. Judging from his distracted appearance, he seemed to be looking for someone.

The Montes were searching carefully in the woods, not sparing any corner.

When Karl just came of age, he met the leader of the Monte tribe. He impulsively made some provocative words and was cut in the arm by a stone knife.

Could it be that the Monte tribe really lost some treasure and they were asked to find it here?

Gavin suddenly showed an embarrassed expression when he heard that Carl was injured. He said to Susu beside him: "Go and pick it yourself!"

Susu nodded lightly, and when she raised her steps, she heard Edmund say: "Why have I never seen you before? Which tribe are you from?"

Su Su pretended not to hear and continued walking forward calmly.

Seeing her like this, Edmund smiled solemnly: "Your disciple is quite interesting." After saying that, he stood in front of Su Su.

He quietly sniffed the scent of the person in front of him, as if trying to determine which tribe she belonged to.

In addition to the faint fragrance of the girl, there was also a hint of domineering and powerful masculine scent. When Edmund wanted to smell it carefully, he could no longer smell it.

He smiled and said: "The smell is quite fragrant."

Susu looked at the man in front of her, a trace of panic flashed in her eyes, she tilted her neck back and distanced herself from him.

Gavin immediately grabbed Su Su's wrist and said in a gentle and firm tone: "Brother, she is my disciple!"

Edmund's eyes were stunned. Ever since that incident, Gavin never called him brother again.

He came back to his senses and his expression became serious: "I know."

In order to prevent Edmund from attacking Susu, Gavin took her wrist and went to Karl's cave together.
