Chapter 25 25. So, Hoshino Ai made a decision

At around four o'clock in the afternoon, Taku Makimura was sitting alone in the library reading a book. He was reading "The Dancing Girl of Izu" by Yasunari Kawabata, a very thin book.

There was no one in the library, and it was so quiet that you could hear your own breathing.

Occasionally, someone wearing rubber-soled shoes would pass by on the floor, and the sound would be extremely clear, as if he wanted others to notice him.

People passed by the window from time to time, and some of the girls even peeked at Taku Makimura's location a few times, and then reluctantly left.

The afternoon sun was not very dazzling, but had a different kind of softness. When the light hit the text, Makimura Taku just finished flipping through the book.

He stood up and returned the book to the bookshelf, returned to his seat, took out his mobile phone and used LINE to tell Hoshino Ai about the idol selection program that Hideki Nishida told him about at noon.

"Do you know this?" he added after editing the message.

Hoshino Ai didn't reply to him, and the messages remained unread. He put away his phone, found an original German book next to him, and continued reading, reviewing a lot of vocabulary and grammar.

At 5:30 in the afternoon, Taku Makimura returned the book, opened his phone and took a look. The message sent to Ai Hoshino was still unread.

He stood up and walked out of the library. He looked up and saw the setting sun sinking between two tall buildings. The fish-scale clouds were decorated with orange-red by the setting sun.

Traffic flows across the road, the traffic lights turn green, and men and women step across the zebra crossing.

There was a video game store nearby, and many students ran in with schoolbags on their backs. The boutique next to it was playing the new songs of popular idols, and a group photo of a certain boy band hung on the window.

As he passed by the store door, a girl glanced at him, blushed and whispered to her companions, but he basically ignored it.

I arrived at the Starbucks store more than ten minutes later. Before the six o'clock shift change time, Koizumi Hanahai had already come back. The other two people probably hadn't arrived yet, so he went in first to say hello.

At five fifty-seven, Nishida Hideki pushed the door open and walked in. At six o'clock, Teramoto Maki completed the shift handover in time, and the two men and two women in the other class bowed and left.

"It's too late, isn't it?" Nishida Hideki complained while putting on his uniform.

Teramoto Maki didn't pay much attention: "Didn't you just arrive too?"

"You've totally hit the mark."

"It doesn't matter," she said with a smile, "Yuki will forgive me!"

"...you guy."

At around seven o'clock, Koizumi Hanami ran out of the room after answering the phone and said to Makimura Taku: "Makimura-kun, Sister Yuki asked you to go back first."

Makimura Taku, who had just listened to Teramoto Maki's instructions on how to make coffee, was stunned for a moment and walked next to her: "Did you really say that?"

"Really, really." Koizumi Hanahai felt a little nervous when she was stared at.

Makimura Taku asked again: "Did she call you to tell you?"

"Yes."

"Why don't you tell me directly."

Koizumi Huahai shook her head: "I don't know that either."

"Go back early every day..."

"What's wrong with this?" Teramoto Maki came over and patted Makimura Taku on the shoulder cheerfully, "Yuki doesn't expect you to help with the work anyway, so it's better to go back and rest early."

"Isn't that too much?" Taku Makimura said with a smile.

"Makimura-kun, don't you think you have too many customers just standing here?" Teramoto Maki told him seriously, "Go back early, just to reduce our workload a little."

Hideki Nishida, who had just written down an order, interjected without looking up: "Although Teramoto often talks nonsense, this sentence is indeed true."

He turned around, put his hands on the table as if to maintain his balance, and faced Taku Makimura: "Go back and rest early. Come back tomorrow."

"Okay." After saying that, Makimura Taku said goodbye to them.

At around nine o'clock in the evening, almost the same time as yesterday, Ai Hoshino finally sent a message.

Makimura Taku closed the book he was reading, clicked on the message and took a look.

"You also know this?" Hoshino Ai replied.

After two seconds, another sticker with a surprised rabbit expression popped up under the message.

Makimura Taku read that sentence three times and replied "Yeah?" to her.

"I originally wanted to tell you about this tomorrow." Hoshino Ai replied.

"Is it possible that you participated?"

"It's boring."

"Really?"

"Let's talk about it when we meet tomorrow, Makimura." She replied with a picture of a yawning rabbit, "It's too late today, I want to take a rest."

"All right."

"Good night." Hoshino Ai sent an emoticon.

"Good night." Taku Makimura replied in text.

After taking a shower at around ten o'clock, Makimura Taku suddenly thought that he would not have to go to work during the day tomorrow and had not mentioned it to Hoshino Ai, so he edited a message and sent it, but the message was never read.

He thought for a while and decided to read while waiting. At eleven o'clock, he still had not read anything, so he closed the book and turned off the light to go to sleep.

After getting up the next morning, Taku Makimura looked at his mobile phone first. No one sent him a message or called him. He went for a run and listened to the English radio while eating breakfast.

At about 7:40, Ogura Yuki called him to give him his usual greetings. They exchanged a few words and then hung up, still ending with the other person's "idiot".

Around eight o'clock, Hoshino Ai replied: Sorry, I only saw it now, then I will wait for you at Shibuya Station at nine o'clock.

Makimura Taku replied no problem.

When we arrived at Shibuya Station, it was not yet nine o'clock and Hoshino Ai had not yet arrived. Makimura Taku leaned against a huge square pillar outside the platform and waited for her.

During this period, a young girl in fashionable clothes came to chat with him. She looked like a college student who had no classes. He declined her request for contact information.

When it was one minute before nine o'clock, Ai Hoshino ran out of the station.

She wore a white suspender dress without a coat, revealing her beautiful and delicate collarbones and smooth shoulders.

The skirt is ankle-length, the socks are lace-edged, and the feet are white Adidas sneakers.

Panting, she rushed to Makimura Taku: "Sorry, I'm late!"

"It's okay, I just arrived." Taku Makimura moved his body away from the pillar.

They started from the station and walked along the street while chatting.

Today is still a sunny spring day, and the wind is refreshingly warm.

Someone was painting on the street, the aroma was wafting from the nearby bakery, and a record store had just opened. Yu Takahashi's "Jealous" was played leisurely from the store, attracting many customers.

"That thing I didn't finish talking about yesterday."

"I participated." Hoshino Ai said.

Makimura Taku was not too surprised. He roughly guessed this yesterday. They continued to walk forward, and Hoshino Aiya continued: "B Komachi, the name of our group."

"B Komachi." Taku Makimura repeated.

"It was started by President Sudo. This idol group was also launched by the president's Berry Pro Office. At the beginning, only three people were found," Hoshino Ai looked at him and said, "However, I decided to join."
