Chapter 29 The Dao is not the only one, there are thousands of Dao

In the dark room, Hai Rui was shocked to realize that he was actually crying by a boy.

This is simply a great humiliation!

He quickly reached out to wipe away the tears and said with a gloomy face: "Isn't that the case? If it is not God's reprimand, how could the two lively children Zhongbi Zhongliang die one after another?!"

"Of course it's not the case!" Zhao Hao stared at Hai Rui's eyes, as if he wanted to imprint his will in his mind.

"Because there is no sympathy between heaven and man in this world, and there is no divine will at all! There is no so-called divine punishment! The deaths of the two young men are just accidents and diseases..."

Zhao Hao's statement is really rebellious and sensational. But it is undeniable that it is the statement that can make Hai Rui feel most relieved...

And human psychology always unconsciously pursues liberation...

But at the same time, this statement seriously challenged Hai Rui's belief, allowing the old fighter to immediately sweep away his previous depressed and weak, slapped the table suddenly, questioned Zhao Hao:

"Your youth should not speak without saying anything. According to what you say, where will the way of heaven be placed?"

"Didn't you hear that 'The heaven and earth are not kind, and treat all things as straw dogs'? The law of heaven is the law of change of all things in the world is objective and natural, and not transferred by human will." However, Zhao Hao smiled faintly and said: "Man will be punished by the law of heaven for not following the laws of nature. But as long as your behavior does not interfere with nature, even if you kill people in the world and kill lords and usurp the throne, you will not be punished by heaven."

"Are you a Taoist believer?" Hai Rui narrowed his eyes and looked at Zhao Hao coldly and said, "But I don't think so in Confucianism. We think there is a response from heaven and man. In our opinion, heaven and man are the same, and they are mutually induce each other. Heaven can interfere with human affairs, and man can also sense heaven. If the king is unrighteous and treacherous and chaotic, God will condemn and warn. If the government is harmonious, the king and the ministers are wise, God will bring auspiciousness to encourage..."

"That was just a fallacy that Dong Zhongshu and others tampered with the theory of the Yin-Yang family and pleased the emperor." Zhao Hao shook his head and said, "Before he, no Confucian sages mentioned any 'response of heaven and man'."

"The Master said, 'Is there no loss of punishment and virtue in the country?', and advised the king to 'right punishment and virtue in order to serve the heaven'!" In this world, the person who can argue with Hai Rui was not born yet. He then smiled contemptuously and said, "Isn't this the origin of the response of heaven and man?"

"You have to consider the context of Confucius's words. Who did he say it to?" Zhao Hao asked with a smile.

"Of course it's the monarch." Hai Rui frowned.

"Will you not be together? Confucius traveled around the countries to make those kings accept their opinions. But the kings do not know how to be afraid and God does not need to scare them. How could they listen to the old master's preaching?" Then Zhao Hao shook his head and smiled:

"But in fact, he said to Zigong privately, 'What does the heaven say? The four seasons are in progress, and all things are in existence, what does the heaven say?' It can be seen that the Master himself actually doesn't believe in that trick."

Hai Rui couldn't help but be stunned. He naturally knew that what Zhao Hao was citing was the original words in "The Analects of Confucius". But he did not dare to easily refute the saint's words, so he waved his hands repeatedly and said, "No, what's the right thing to say. Otherwise, for thousands of years, countless scholars have been exploring the scriptures and seeking the Tao hard for thousands of years?"

"Isn't reading the books of sages to be an official?" Zhao Hao shook his cleverness and quickly said with a solemn expression before Hai Rui was angry: "It is of course meaningful to seek the Tao! But in this world, there is no unified way of all things, but the heaven, earth and earth have their own different laws and different ways."

After a pause, he said in a deep voice: "You can summarize the principles of the human world from the complex phenomena in the human world. You can also summarize the principles of the natural world from the complex phenomena of heaven and earth. But these are completely different things. You cannot combine the two and blindly force the only one."

"Don't blindly force the only one?" A light flashed in Hai Rui's eyes. Zhao Hao's words were about the pain points of him and scholars all over the world.

The ancient Han Confucian scholars told them that there is the only truth in this world. This only truth is the most fundamental law in the world, which is the so-called "reason". As long as you understand the only truth, you can understand everything in the world.

This temptation is so great that it makes everything in the world lose its charm. For thousands of years, countless scholars have been working hard to find the only one!

But it was really difficult to solve the problem. Everyone was pursuing it like a headless fly, but they couldn't find out what was going on, and many people went crazy because of it.

Later, Zhu Xi emerged suddenly and pointed out the golden way for Confucian scholars to "explore things and understand principles." Then Cheng Yi, another tycoon of Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism, gave a specific explanation, "Today, we will investigate something, and tomorrow we will understand it, and we will finally understand the principles of heaven."

Now the scholars in the world have a clear path and no longer run around like headless flies. However, according to the guidance of Teacher Zhu and Teacher Cheng, they have been scheming year after year, but they can't figure out the only truth, so they are trapped in a dead end and can't get out of it.

Until Wang Yangming, who emerged from nowhere, told scholars loudly that there was no need to be so troublesome. The "reason" that everyone is pursuing is in everyone's hearts. As long as you do good and eliminate evil, you will investigate things. Then, with this conscience, the unity of knowledge and action, it will be enough to guide your life...

This has enabled many scholars to finally break free from the shackles of Neo-Confucianism, walk out of the dead end of seeking the Tao, liberate their minds, and become believers of Yangming's Mind Studies.

But there are still many Neo-Confucian scholars like Hai Rui who believe that Yangming's study is avoiding the important and the light, and avoiding the difficulties of seeking the Tao, so they always sneered. So they continued to seek the Tao in a dead end, but no one could deny that this kind of search for the Tao without seeing hope is a torture and a torture.

Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many scholars who would turn to the embrace of learning...

"Don't blindly force the only one?"

Hai Rui repeated it in a low voice.

Zhao Hao's words put forward a point that he had never thought about - what if there is no principle that all things are unified in this world, but there are many ways that are not mutually connected and non-interference at the same time?

No matter how absurd this view is, Hai Rui has to admit that in addition to the study of the mind, Zhao Hao proposed a theory that scholars all over the world can take a breath and do not have to compete with him in a dead end.

With this contribution alone, Hai Rui would never regard Zhao Hao as an ignorant boy, but would treat him as a great scholar who was as knowledgeable as Wang Shouren, who could create a family of words.

For an old fighter like Hai Gangfeng, there is nothing more satisfying in life than meeting such an opponent!

Hai Rui felt that the fighting spirit that had not been missing for a long time burst out from his heart. He felt that he was getting more motivated again, and he was ready to convince the young man!

So, the two of them held one end to see if the "Tao" was unique; whether the "Tian Man's Sympathy" was Confucius's opinion. After the fierce debate began, the outcome was not decided until dark...
