Chapter 3 Ominous Omen

Liu Chenyu opened the door to the room, and there was a person sitting on the futon beside the bed. He had white hair and a childlike face, and had piercing eyes. He was a thin old man whose actual age could not be seen. He was wearing a green gown and holding a whisk in his hand. He was really a fairy.

Have the grace of a master.

"Master, are you meditating? Drink some tonic."

Patient No. 3 Lu Li opened his eyes and looked at Liu Chenyu with a smile on his face.

"Disciple, how are you these days?"

"Thank you, Master, for your great blessing. You are in good health. Master, please use it."

"Oh... this tonic is pretty good. Although it has no effect on my disciple, I still have to drink it because of my filial piety... But it's very bitter, very bitter, disciple."

"Master, how about some candy?" Liu Chenyu smiled and picked up a lollipop. He also likes to eat this kind of candy.

"Hey, what do you think of eating sweets at such an old age... But it's okay, I'll just have one as a teacher." Lu Li looked like a fairy, but he would also show this when talking to his "loved disciple"

A bit childish.

Although Liu Chenyu does not really regard himself as an apprentice, he respects the elderly and likes to chat with patients.

After chatting and laughing for half an hour, Liu Chenyu made a disciple's ceremony and prepared to leave.

Just as he turned to leave, Lu Li stopped him.

"Wait a minute, my disciple."

Liu Chenyu stopped and looked back, with a puzzled look on his face: "Master, is there anything else?"

Lu Li looked at Liu Chenyu's figure carefully, waved to him to come closer, then touched his body and took out a messy piece of paper and handed it to Liu Chenyu. There were some incomprehensible paintings on the paper.

"Apprentice, I see that your yang energy seems to be lacking, and you may be possessed by a monster. This is the demon-killing and evil-killing talisman that I made while walking in the early morning. I must carry it with me, just in case."

Faced with "Master's" kindness, Liu Chenyu couldn't resist, so he had to stuff the crumpled note into his jacket pocket.

Holding the concept that patients and staff should not be inherently separated, Liu Chenyu only wears regular clothes every time he enters the ward, without wearing work clothes such as white coats.

After thanking the master with a smile, he stood up and left the ward.

"What kind of routine is this today? Joining forces to do tricks? Forget it, it's just a coincidence."

Patient No. 4, Cheng Tailai, has always refused to take medicine, and Liu Chenyu doesn't force it. He only checks his status when delivering meals every day, and at the same time, he only chats with him every few days, and takes medicine together. I don't know where it comes from.

Electric or something.

Patient No. 5 just fell asleep in the morning and will hardly wake up in a few days. There is no need to worry about it this afternoon.

After he handed the tray to nurse Xiao An, he returned to the office and looked at the time, which was around three in the afternoon.

"It seems that there is nothing to do today. I will get off work after get off work."

He stretched, exchanged a few words with nurse Xiao An, and then drove out of the nursing home.

When chatting with Uncle Ma, Liu Chenyu said that he had an appointment tonight. It was a real appointment, not prevarication.

His old friend Ye Liangchen, who is very close to him but rarely sees each other abroad, just came back today. He wants to clean up his old friend and get drunk with him.

Ye Liangchen, the second son of the famous Ye family, is also the second brother of patient No. 2 Ye Cangcang.

...

"How is my little sister doing recently? She still calls herself the queen?" Ye Liangchen sat in the box seat, holding a wine glass in his hand and smiling, and touched Liu Chenyu who was sitting opposite.

"Yes, it is difficult to change the deep-rooted thinking, but at least now I won't think about killing people from the nine tribes. It should be somewhat improved." Liu Chenyu smiled helplessly.

"Sigh... Anyway, it's up to you, the big experts, and my sister. If you need anything, just ask."

"What you said, do you and I still have to say this kind of thing?"

"That's right, if my little sister hadn't been sick, maybe you would have been my brother-in-law now." Ye Liangchen laughed.

"Stop, stop, but what kind of wine is this? I'm a little dizzy after a few drinks." When he first drank, he didn't feel anything, but at this time Liu Chenyu felt that he was not sitting on a chair, but on a playground.

The huge centrifuge that is running at high speed keeps spinning.

"Ha? Didn't you order this golden rum? It's relatively sweet, but you still don't know how to drink it. Haha, let's take a rest. It's not easy to get together. I don't want you to spit all over me. I'll give it to you.

You order a cup of ice tea." Ye Liangchen shrugged with a smile, scanned the QR code on the corner of the table with his mobile phone, and ordered a cup of ice tea and a few snacks.

After a while, Liu Chenyu recovered. While responding to Ye Liangchen's sarcasm with a wry smile, he drank the ice tea. Halfway through, the glass suddenly cracked and fell to the ground, leaving only half of it.

The cup and handle are still in Liu Chenyu's hand.

The manager of the store was called over by Ye Liangchen to give him a few words. The manager kept apologizing like a quail, looked at the two halves of the cup in his hand as if he couldn't understand, and left the box dejectedly. Only then did Liu Chenyu remember that this store seemed to be Ye Liangchen's.

At home, he didn’t have to pay for the treat at all, so he couldn’t help but scratch his head.

After drinking, they left the store, and the two of them walked around the street together, blowing in the cold wind. Liu Chenyu felt like he was back in college with his friends.

The two of them hooked up and sang ancient songs on the sparsely lit and deserted streets. Finally, they sat on the stone steps by the river and forced down the sour soup in their stomachs.

"How long have you been back this time, and when will you leave again?" Liu Chenyu rubbed his belly and burped, thinking that he might have to go to work late tomorrow.

"I'm... not leaving for now. I'm staying at home to help out or something. When I have free time, I'll go to your place and see my little sister. Then I'll go." Ye Liangchen looked at the hair blown by the cool breeze on his forehead.

, gently brushed it off with his hand, stood up and took out his mobile phone.

"You're feeling much better now."

"I'm awake a lot, but I still feel like vomiting..."

"I told you not to drink too much. I really need to find a driver for you. See how nice I am to you. Call me dad!"

"Go away...son, vomit..."

"Tsk, tsk, you're already the dean and you're still like this... Damn it, don't spit on me!"

...

Around 1:30 in the morning, a black car slowly passed by on the street, and then parked in the parking lot in front of a small building in a remote location.

The driver turned around and shook the sleeping passenger.

"Well, sir, wake up, we have arrived at our destination."

Liu Chenyu felt a headache, opened his eyes, yawned, said thank you, opened the door and got out of the car.

After the driver got out of the car, he locked the door, walked to Liu Chenyu, and handed him the car key.

"Thank you, how are you going back?" Liu Chenyu grabbed the handrail of the door with one hand, turned around and took the key and asked.

"Oh, I live in a community nearby, just jog there. Sir, you can find a driver, and I don't have to take a taxi back, so I'll go." The driver said with a smile, and trotted away.<

"Oh, thank you for your hard work. Goodbye." Liu Chenyu shook his hand, held on to the guardrail, took out the key from his pocket and opened the door of the small building.

This small building in the suburbs is his home. It is relatively independent, with neighbors far away from each other. There are only a few street lights nearby, so it is very quiet.

Perhaps because he was drunk, Liu Chenyu didn't notice one thing. When he walked in, the street light next to his house with a few flying insects flickering around flickered a few times and suddenly went out.

At the same time, the crescent moon bent into a round was covered by clouds and mist.

In a nearby residential building, a flower pot placed on the balcony guardrail suddenly fell down, making a crisp sound. It was broken into pieces, exposing the black soil, and blood gradually oozed from the bottom. It turned out to be a black wild cat.

His head was crushed by the falling heavy object.

From the distant woods, there were several rapid and sharp bird calls, which sounded like human laughter. They were especially sharp in the dark night, so they sounded particularly scary.

The inexplicably cracked cup, the suddenly extinguished street lamp, the crescent moon covered by black clouds, the fallen flower pot, the black cat that happened to be killed, and the terrifying laughter of an owl.

These should have been some ordinary little things in life, without any specific meaning, but now they happened to be gathered together, and the result was a special meaning.
