Chapter 25: A Busy Day

Before the rooster sang, the Wang family's house was dimly lit, and the swaying shadows performed a shadow play on the windows.

Father Wang was holding his rag shoes and carefully packed yesterday's wheat and flour into woven sacks.

What he wanted was to get up early so that no one would see them once it got dark, and they wanted to take a boat to other towns.

"Take these dry food with you. Here is the water bag."

The ones who went out to test this time were Wang Wang and Wang Yonglin. One was carrying wheat and the other was carrying flour.

Fang Cuiying was packing her things. She was going back to her parents' house to move things.

The Fang family runs a lot of small businesses, and they have many things at home that are used for setting up stalls, especially a coal stove for heating hot water, so that a pot can be placed on it to cook noodles.

Although everyone in the family was careful in their movements, Anron still sat up and was so energetic that she couldn't sleep.

There was no one around her. Her parents got up at some unknown time. It was dark outside and it seemed very early.

When An Ran arrived at the main room, it felt much empty. All their pots, pans, benches and tables were gone.

Was our house robbed?

There are only a few children in the family. Li Aliu is cleaning up the black balls pulled out by rabbits and giving them some old cabbage leaves.

There were only two big white rabbits in the cage. They were eating old cabbage leaves, and while eating, the black lumps fell from the gap under the cage to the compartment below.

An Ran held her own small rice bowl, which contained white flour steamed buns soaked in hot water. They were soft and juicy.

An Ran picked up the white steamed buns in the bowl with her hands. She wanted Li Aling to try them.

"Ah~"

Aling looked at the steamed buns handed over by the chubby hand, which were all sticky.

In fact, she is not hungry yet, her stomach will only growl during meal time.

"Fu Bao can eat by himself, and I'll feed you." The most important thing is that she cannot eat Fu Bao's food. She knows that the Wang family loves Fu Bao very much.

An Ran knew that she wanted to eat, but she was afraid of being punished.

The younger brother Wenbo is different. Every time she takes something from the bowl and gives it to him, he is very happy, does not hesitate, and even shows off.

The New Year will be celebrated in six or seven days. The Wang family has not separated their families, so there is no problem of celebrating the New Year one after another.

According to Father Wang's wishes, it will be the last day of the New Year, so I will be busy these days to get the food things done.

Li Zhenxiang took a broom and swept the dust from every corner of the house. Since the new house was built this year, many corners had not yet accumulated dust.

But sweeping the Yangchun is a custom, and we still sweep the roof and other corners.

An Ran saw a pile of furniture, tables, chopsticks, various basins and water jars beside the yard.

Li Zhenxiang fetched water and washed every piece of furniture, especially the dining table, over and over again.

Wenjing helped carry water. The water in the bucket was swaying, and some of it was always spilled.

An Ran found that Wen Jing was the fairest among these boys, he looked very polite and well-behaved, and he didn't speak hastily or impatiently.

After holding the water for a while, a thin layer of sweat appeared on the temples. His eyebrows were clean and gentle, and when he looked at people, he was always like water in a mountain lake, agile and without ripples.

"Fu Bao, look!"

Wenbo got a meowing cat cub from somewhere. The fur on its body has not yet fully grown, and its pink mouth is meowing.

"Hey, where did you go to hug me? Put it down quickly, you won't survive if you hold me like this."

Li Zhenxiang was excited when she heard the cry of the milk cat.

"It belongs to Xiao Hua Zai. She gave birth to many kittens. She lent me this." Wenzhuo also held a kitten in his hand.

Li Zhenxiang, despite her usual gentleness, walked to the side, found a note, and was about to raise it to her son.

"I lent it to you, so hurry up and put it back. Such a small kitten will be killed by you in a while. You take your brother to get the cat. What if the female cat gets angry and bites you."

The female cat who had just given birth was very protective of her kittens, so the two babies must have been taken away secretly while they were away.

Li Zhenxiang just took advantage of the situation to teach them a lesson and ordered the two of them to put them back quickly.

Wen Zhuo was holding the cat with one hand. Knowing that he had made a mistake, he begged for mercy and wanted to take the cat back with Xiao Wenbo.

"Then can we raise one? We have fish at home." Xiao Wenbo was reluctant to part with it, he liked the kitten so much.

Li Zhenxiang didn't know whether to laugh or cry. How could she feed such a tiny little baby who could only drink milk?

"If you want to raise one, give it to Grandma Hua with a big fish after the New Year and the beginning of spring, and exchange it for some small fish and cubs. At that time, you can take the kitten back and raise it."

An Ran was sitting in a chair watching the show. The little brother, with his head on his head, carefully held the kitten and quickly returned it.

When the two of them came back, Douda's tears were streaming down his face, and he cried heartbrokenly.

"What's wrong, bitten by a cat? Let me take a look!"

Li Zhenxiang put down the basin in her hand. She didn't have time to wipe the water off her hands. She took the hands of the two children and inspected them carefully, but she saw that Wenbo was still holding the cat cub just now.

"Woo~woo~ The kitten is not moving, is it dead?" Wenbo burst into tears and handed the cat in his hand to his fourth aunt.

Li Zhenxiang took the kitten, but the kitten didn't react at all to the stiff touch.

This is a kitten that is just a few days old. It has very short fine down and is very fragile. The two children probably touched it accidentally.

"Mom, is it dead? Will the little flower boy hate us?"

Wen Zhuo looked like he had made a big mistake and took the initiative to hand the note he had just thrown away to Li Zhenxiang's hand.

"You hit me, I took Xiao Qi to steal the kitten."

"Where's the other one?"

"I put it in the nest and it's still moving. This one doesn't move. It doesn't move at all."

"Go dig a hole and bury the kitten. You won't be able to take other people's kittens from now on."

As they said this, each of them took a strip on their hand, which showed red marks, and it felt hot and painful just to look at it.

An Ran still recognized his mother's education. If he made a mistake, he would be punished. He didn't know why the kitten was so anxious. The child was taken away when it went out to look for food.

Children are born ignorant and will grow up as long as they are corrected in time after making mistakes.

After a hard day's work, Li Zhenxiang did all the housework and everything was spotless.

"From the fourth family! Come and help me move my things! I'm exhausted!"

An Ran could hear her second uncle yelling at the top of her lungs from afar, as if she had put in a lot of effort.

Li Zhenxiang hurried out, this is...

Fang Cuiying walked in front with her two children, carrying various pots and pans in her hands. Wen Qing and Wen Hua also had their hands full.

Especially for a big iron pot, Wen Qing tried so hard that his mother said he couldn't break it on the ground.

Wang Yongye was even more exaggerated. He was carrying a coal stove, a barrel-shaped one that was difficult to hold. He could only put his hand on the mouth of the stove and hold it on his shoulders. After walking a few steps, he would put it down to rest.

An Ran watched as pieces of furniture were moved back one piece after another. There must have been gangsters entering Uncle Fang's house.

This is to empty out the Fang family, especially since they have chopsticks and many pairs.

The bundle that Wenhua was holding was about to explode, and several pairs of chopsticks fell out.

Her second uncle is really favored, otherwise she would be able to come back from ransacking her parents' house like this, and she still seems to have unfinished business.

There was a clang sound, and a sharp-edged butcher knife fell out. It could be seen that the knife was sharpened frequently, and the handle of the knife was polished by the hands.

"Ouch! There are too many things!"
