Chapter 699 Buddha Bone Relics

On the open space in front of the Enlightenment Tower.

Master Due placed the body of the monk Kongjian on the firewood, and then lit the firewood with a fire.

Then, Master Due sat on the ground, put his hands together and placed them in front of his chest, and recited the "Ksitigarbha Sutra" in his mouth to pray for the monk who saw the ninth sight.

"Monster, go all the way."

Ye Qiu stood aside, staring at the monk Kongjian wrapped in raging fire, bent down and bowed.

The fire lasted for half an hour.

A surprising scene appeared.

Kong Jian's body was completely unscathed.

Ye Qiu said in shock: "I am worthy of being a Taoist monk."

Master Du'er added some fireworks.

The fire burned for more than an hour, and the remains of the monk began to gradually turn into ashes.

It is also magical. During the cremation process, Kong saw that the body of the monk did not have the smell of burning the human body after it was burned, but instead emitted a strange fragrance like sandalwood.

After the flames are extinguished,

Master Du'er took out a pottery jar from the first floor of the Enlightenment Tower and collected the ashes of the Kūkū monk.

Sudden--

Master Due kneeled to the ashes of the monk Kongjian and shouted: "Congratulations to Master, for ascending to the land of paradise."

Ye Qiu noticed that at this moment, there was no sadness on Master Du'er's face, but instead he was a little excited.

Strange, what is the master excited about?

At this moment, Master Du'er said, "Donald Ye, come here quickly, I'll let you see the magical things."

Ye Qiu walked to Master Du'er.

Master Due gently opened the ashes of the monk Kongxiu. In an instant, a white round bead appeared in Ye Qiu's sight.

This round bead is crystal clear, like crystal, shining with a bright light.

Ye Qiu asked in confusion: "What is this?"

"Master Ye, have you ever heard of the relics?" asked Master Due.

"I've heard of it..." Ye Qiu said this and glared: "Master, is this the relics?"

Master Due smiled and nodded: "That's right, this is the relics."

Ye Qiu was shocked.

Relics are transliterations of Sanskrit, usually referring to the remains of Buddha, and are called Buddha bones. According to legend, they were founded by the founder of Buddhism, Sakyamuni.

After Sakyamuni's death, his disciples found many colorful and crystal-like relics from his ashes, which were respectfully called relics.

Later, these relics were distributed to famous temples all over the world as treasures for temple-keeping.

The Buddhist scriptures say that the relics are obtained by a person through the practice of precepts, concentration, wisdom, and his great vows. They are very rare and very precious.

Although there have been many relics since ancient times, only monks with outstanding practice and great merits will have them.

For example, Zen Master Xuyun.

Zen Master Xuyun became a monk at the age of 18 and devoted himself to practicing in Yongquan Temple for nine years. He started to travel to famous Buddhist mountains across the country at the age of 27, and lasted for more than 20 years. He visited Mount Emei, three major temples in Tibetan areas and other places, and even went abroad to worship Buddha's traces.

As his fame grew, Zen Master Xuyun received attention from the court and was awarded a "Dragon Zang" with purple robes and jade seals, and was awarded the title of "Master of Buddha Ci and Dharma Propagation".

This was a rare honor at that time, which shows that Zen Master Xuyun is highly respected.

In 1959, on the 13th day of the ninth lunar month, Zen Master Xuyun, who was 120 years old, passed away. After cremation, he obtained hundreds of five-color relics, which caused a sensation.

This is not an isolated case.

Like the old monk Mengsan from Mount Wutai, after his death at the age of 103, he left hundreds of relics.

There is also the old monk who passed away. Before the elder passed away, he predicted that the deadline was coming and refused to eat. The doctor wanted to get an injector for him. The elder pulled out the needle himself, closed his eyes and recited the Buddha's name, went on a hunger strike for nine days, and finally passed away peacefully.

The relics left by Elder Chuanjing are round in texture, diverse in color, and different in size. The small ones are like hanging beads worn by monks, and the large ones are like adult nails.

Among them, the relics that caused a sensation around the world came from Master Kuanneng.

After Master Kuanneng passed away at the age of 94, he also left many relics, one of which was about five centimeters high, which looked like a Guanyin Bodhisattva sitting upright on the lotus throne. His facial features and outfit were natural and vivid, especially the avatar of Guanyin Bodhisattva was surrounded by Buddhist beads, which was breathtaking.

This relic is enshrined in the Thousand Buddha Pagoda of Haining Temple in Huaguo Mountain. If you have the opportunity, you may be able to see it.

These are all real appearances in modern and modern history.

Ye Qiu didn't expect that one day he would see the relics with his own eyes.

What made him most incredible was that after Master Du'er opened the ashes, many relics appeared, including red, green, yellow, black, and white colors, and there were a large number.

Master Du'e quickly ran into the enlightenment tower, took out a large glass jar from it, and began to collect the relics left by the monk Kongjian.

"One, two, three..."

"One hundred!"

"Three hundred!"

"Five hundred!"

"Seven hundred...seventy-eight-seventy-five, seventy-seventy-six, seventy-seven!"

There are 777 relics in total!

Ye Qiu was shocked.

Master Due said in shock: "In Buddhism, seven is a special existence, which does not represent numbers, but represents perfection."

"The master left behind 777 relics, which represents the Great Perfection."

"Congratulations to Master!"

After Master Du'er finished speaking, he kowtowed nine times at the glass jar where the relics were placed.

“Huh?”

Suddenly, Ye Qiu let out a scream of surprise and said, "Master, look at it."

Master Du'er turned his head and saw Ye Qiu pointing at Kongjian's skull.

After the body of the monk was cremated, the skull was well preserved.

Master Due held up the skull of the Kongjian monk with both hands. After a closer look, he found that there were stripes on the skull of the Kongjian monk, which looked very similar to Sanskrit. In the middle, there was a very clear character "卍".

"Master is compassionate throughout his life. He preached Buddhism when he was young, and understood meditation when he was old. He is a true generation of monks."

After Master Du'er finished speaking, he carefully put the skull into the glass jar.

Then, he put the ashes of the monk Kongjian into the pot with his hand, and then came to the seventh floor of the Enlightenment Tower, and then scattered the ashes in the air hand by hand, drifting with the wind.

I came from the void and returned to the void.

Ye Qiu knew that Master Du'er was completing the last words of the monk Hunting.

Taking advantage of this time, Ye Qiu saw the monk in Kong carving a spirit tablet and put it on the table on the first floor of the Enlightenment Tower.

After Master Du'er sprinkled his ashes, he returned to the first floor of the Enlightenment Tower. Seeing that Ye Qiu had already carved the spirit card, he said gratefully: "Thank you, donor Ye."

Ye Qiu said: "This is what I should do, Master, don't be polite."

Master Du'er asked, "Long Wu's corpse is still outside, what is the donor Ye planning to deal with it?"

Ye Qiu said: "I will arrange for someone to send Long Wu's body back to the Forbidden City, so that Long Qi and the others can take a good look at Long Wu's tragic situation."

Master Du'er said worriedly: "Donald Ye, if you do this, you are afraid that the Forbidden City will be furious."

Ye Qiu smiled and said, "I just want them to be angry."

Master Du'er was shocked.

What does Ye Qiu want to do?

Do you want to provoke the Forbidden City? Or do you want to declare war on the Forbidden City?
