Chapter 5 Cards(2/2)

An's mind was full of thoughts and it was difficult to make a decision.

The girl didn't rush him either.

After more than ten seconds, Lumian slowly leaned down, stretched out his right hand, scattered the stack of small Arcana cards, and pulled out one card from the middle.

"Seven of Wands." The lady with a lazy temperament glanced at the card.

On that card, a man with a resolute face and green clothes stood on the top of the mountain, holding a scepter, fighting against the six scepters that the enemy attacked from the bottom of the mountain.

"What does this mean?" Lumian asked.

The lady smiled:

"Interpret it yourself according to the patterns, crisis, challenge, confrontation, courage, etc., etc.

"Of course, these are not important. What is important is that this card is given to you now. When fate comes, you will discover its true meaning."

"Give it to me?" Lumian became more and more confused.

This card can't really be cursed, can it?

The lady put away the remaining Minor Arcana cards, picked up the wine glass, and drank the small amount of light red wine in it.

She ignored Lumian's question, strolled towards the stairs on the side of the old tavern, and went up to the second floor.

Obviously, she lives there.

Lumian wanted to catch up, but he only took one step and stopped, his thoughts fluctuating:

Is this really an ordinary card?

She gave me this card. Wouldn’t that deck of cards always lack one card and be unable to be used?

Aurore should be able to see the problem...

At this time, Raymond came over:

"What's wrong?"

"It's nothing, that foreigner is really good-looking." Lumian said casually.

"I think your sister Aurore is more beautiful." Raymond lowered his voice and said, "Lumian, what should we do next? My grandfather passed away a long time ago."

Lumian, who was anxious to go home, thought for a moment and said:

"The first is to ask an old man who is about the same age as your grandfather and is still alive. The second is to go to the church and look up the registration book. Well, we will consider this last."

Thinking that he had just ruined the good deeds of the parish priest, Lumian felt that he should not go to church unless necessary recently.

——In rural areas like Kordu Village, where there is only one church, because the administrator has very few subordinates, the church assumes some government functions, such as recording funerals and marriages.

Before Raymond could ask again, Lumian added:

"Let's split up to see who are the qualified elderly people and ask them tomorrow."

"Okay." Raymond agreed immediately.

…………

In a semi-grounded two-story building.

After listening to Lumian's story, Aurore looked at the "scepter" card carefully and said:

"It's indeed a very common card. I didn't notice any curse or other special existence."

"Aurore, uh, sister, tell me, what on earth did that stranger want to do? Why did she know that I was having such a dream?" Lumian asked.

Aurore shook her head:

"Since she has revealed her cards, it's relatively good.

"In the past few days, I will 'observe' her carefully.

"Well... you hold this card first. There may be some changes. Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on it."

"Okay." Lumian tried to relax a little.

…………

Night time.

Lumian stuffed the "scepter" card into the clothes hanging on the back of the chair, got into bed, closed his eyes and fell asleep.

I don't know how much time passed, but he seemed to see the gray fog again.

Suddenly, his whole body trembled and he "awoke" from his dream.

He felt that he had regained consciousness and regained his sanity.

But the dream filled with gray fog still exists.
