Chapter 48(1/2)

48. Voices from the heart close at hand

"The third princess looks a bit more beautiful than usual without makeup. Why don't you become my wife." Kurihara looked at the third princess and said with a smile.

Staring at Ning Jia, he quickly took a few steps forward.

Ning Jia's eyes stared at Chi Lin behind him in surprise. She didn't blink and didn't hear what he said. She stood frozen behind Yu'er, motionless.

Chi Lin, who was next to him, also hurried forward, stretched out his hand to block Kurihara, and said in a deep voice: "Stop!"

"Kurihara, are you doing your old habit again?" Yu'er also asked Kurihara.

"Yu'er, if you marry me quickly, my problem will probably be cured." Kurihara looked at Chi Lin and then smiled at Yu'er.

"You know he's a talker." Yu'er rolled her eyes at him and said, "Tell me, why doesn't he want to leave with you?"

"If I had known that there was such a beauty waiting for me in the cold and dark night, she would have flown here long ago. It would be better for him to draw his sword and come to stab me." Kurihara complained dissatisfied.

"Didn't you tell him who you were meeting?" Yu'er said.

"I told you, this guy not only didn't believe me, but also said that I had evil intentions." Kurihara said.

"Then you can't beat him like that. His face is bruised several times," Yu'er said.

"I just pushed him a few times. He hit him on his own, it's none of my business." Kurihara spread his hands and sighed innocently.

The two of them said something to each other, talking to each other.

Over there, Chi Lin's eyes glanced back and forth several times on their faces, then he turned back to look at Ning Jia, frowning slightly.

Ning Jia looked at herself and realized that she was still wearing the thin gauze clothes she had worn when sleeping. Her hair was hanging down and had not been combed. Immediately, her face started to burn. She lowered her head and looked behind Yu'er.

Moved.

"Okay, let's go." Yu'er walked up to Kurihara, pulled off his sleeves, and walked forward.

"Yu'er!" Ning Jia shouted hurriedly.

After calling out this, I remembered that this was the first time I heard her name.

Her original name was this, but she had never asked about it.

"If you have anything to say, just tell him," Yu'er turned around, pointed at Chi Lin, and smiled at Ning Jia.

"Me," Ning Jia looked at Chi Lin, feeling even more panicked, and whispered to Yu'er, "You, don't leave..."

But Yu'er turned her head and said to Kurihara: "Let's go, let's not get in the way here."

"Exactly, I thought they were in the way." Kurihara put his arm around Yu'er's waist and said with a smile.

Suddenly he threw away his hand, hugged his right hand and trembled: "It's so cold!"

"Look how dare you do this!" Yu'er said.

"When you become my wife, I will hug you as much as you can!" Kurihara said.

"Who said I want to be your wife?" Yu'er said.

"That's what I said." Kurihara said.

"If everything you said counts, now, um, let me count." Yu'er counted on her fingers, spread her hands and shook her head helplessly, "I can't count. Your wife is better than the palace."

There are more doors..."

"Are there so many?" Kurihara raised his eyebrows, and then smiled at Yu'er, "But they are not as good as you."

As he spoke, he stretched out his hand to hug Yu'er's shoulders.

"Aren't you afraid of ice?" Yu'er said without looking back.

Kurihara's hand stopped in mid-air, shook it, and then took it back.

"Good girl, why are you practicing such cold ice techniques?" Kurihara sighed.

The two walked for a while and gradually became farther away.

"Just here." Yu'er said.

"It's just right here," Kurihara said.

Looking back at Chi Lin and Ning Jia, they were still standing where they were.

"Yu'er, do you think this guy is a little stupid?" Kurihara looked at Chi Lin and shook his head and said, "Such a beautiful woman ran here in the middle of the night regardless of the wind and cold. Why does he look like a piece of wood?"

"Is it okay if they all look like you?" Yu'er said.

He stretched out his hand and pulled Kurihara's head aside, saying, "Don't peek."

"Why did you come out?" Chi Lin suddenly spoke, but he frowned and said slightly reproachfully.

"I..." Ning Jia didn't know how to answer, so she had to lower her head.

"A girl, who would go out in the middle of the night? Besides, you are a princess!" Chi Lin said a few more words.

Ning Jia's head lowered.

"What should I do if I encounter danger?" Chi Lin hadn't finished speaking, and seemed to be getting angrier as he spoke, "What if someone saw me and said something bad?"

Ning Jia couldn't answer a single word.

"Who are those two people?" After Chi Lin asked this question, he looked at Ning Jia, waiting for her answer.

"Yu'er, she is my friend." Ning Jia stammered.

"I don't know any of your friends?" Chi Lin said, "Who is she?"

Ning Jia pinched a few strands of hair and rubbed them gently in her hands, then said after a while: "She is a, a fox..."

"Fox?" Chi Lin was shocked when he heard this, his face changed, and he said in a deep voice, "What's going on?"

"Well, she suddenly ran to Jianjia Palace, got injured, and then she was with me all the time." Ningjia replied.

After hearing this clueless answer, Chi Lin didn't ask any more questions. He thought about it carefully and said, "Is it the fox that His Highness is chasing?"

"Yes." Ning Jia said.

"Why did you save it?" Chi Lin frowned even more.

"I, I don't know either..." Ning Jia said, thinking for a while, "It was seriously injured and couldn't even walk. Fang Qi said she didn't mean any harm..."

"What is she doing in the palace?" Chi Lin asked again.

"This, she didn't say..." Ning Jia said.

"Who is that man?" Chi Lin turned to ask about Kurihara.

"I, I haven't seen that person before." Ning Jia said, "Maybe he is Yu'er's friend."

Chi Lin recalled the scene when Kurihara suddenly jumped into his room and fought with him.

His sword was accurate, but his sword failed.

Thinking about it again, when he brought me here, there was an emptiness under his feet, and he was never grounded at all.

If this Yu'er is indeed a vixen, I'm afraid that person is not human either.

"Has she been in the palace for so long, do you feel any discomfort?" Chi Lin asked Ning Jia.

"No." Ning Jia shook her head hurriedly.

Chi Lin saw that her expression was as usual, and there seemed to be nothing wrong with her.

For a moment, I didn’t know why the two monsters Yu’er came.

"Let her leave earlier, they are aliens after all." Chi Lin said.

"Ah?" Ning Jia seemed a little surprised that she hadn't thought about this problem yet.

"Can you listen to me?" Chi Lin asked.

"Yu'er, she's pretty good..." Ning Jia said suddenly.

"I'm asking you, will you listen to me?" Chi Lin stared at her with a stern expression.

Ning Jia didn't know how to answer, she lowered her head and fiddled with the hair in her hands.

Seeing that she was silent, Chi Lin sighed, walked forward and hugged her into his arms.

Ning Jia didn't expect that he would do this suddenly.

Although we often played together in the same place when we were children, we were still relatively close to each other.

I don't know since when, his etiquette became more and more thorough.

When we met on weekdays, he would always bow respectfully and leave.

When we met today, she didn't even call her "Third Princess", nor was she polite, and suddenly...

Ning Jia was stunned for a moment, her whole body stiff.

"When will you grow up and know how to protect yourself?" Chi Lin hugged her tightly, as if he wanted to integrate her into his body.

His breath came continuously through his warm body temperature, and Ning Jia tried to reach out her hands and wrap her arms around him.

"Ning Jia..." Chi Lin finally called her, but instead of calling her "Third Princess", he called her by this name.
To be continued...
