Chapter 20 Derivation of Criminal Minds
Chapter 20 Derivation of Criminal Psychology
"The murderer is hiding in Sam's Supermarket!"
Lawrence spoke with strong confidence.
Dean's eyes flashed with thoughts, and finally he said hesitantly: "Are you suspicious of the security guard at Sam's Supermarket?"
The only point of intersection between the two victims is that they are both customers of Sam's Supermarket. The identity of the most suitable prey for observation is actually not the customers visiting the supermarket, but the security guards who can legitimately observe and even contact customers.
This is also the reason why Dean and Lawrence were taken away by the police without revealing their identities after being disarmed by the security guards.
Those security guards are also suspects.
That's why Old Hunter was helpless about the two people being arrested.
Because they may have alerted the enemy.
"right!"
Lawrence spit out a big mouthful of alcohol and confirmed Dean's judgment.
However, the reason he gave was completely different from what Dean thought.
"Although the murderer only committed two crimes, his methods the second time were much more cruel than the first. This obvious change shows that the murderer is more confident. He is confident that he will not be caught by the police."
"Why does the other party have such confidence?"
"Because the other party is familiar with the police's investigative logic, there may even be some channel to gain access to our investigation progress in this case. There are almost no clues left at the crime scene, which also shows that the other party has a strong sense of counter-investigation."
"He knows very well that it will be difficult for us to find him, and even if we find him, it will be difficult to convict him!"
Lawrence paused and looked at Dean: "Dean, what do you think this kind of person usually is?"
"Either he has committed a crime before, been in jail, and knows where the pitfalls are, or the other party has also been a policeman, or has a relative who is a policeman, and knows the police's methods of investigating cases."
The person who knows you best must be your opponent.
The same goes for crime.
Lawrence's words inspired Dean.
However, there was still something he couldn't figure out.
"Lawrence, your analysis is correct, but what does this have to do with your conclusion that the murderer is a security guard at Sam's Supermarket?"
"intuition."
Lawrence's eyes were a little distracted, but his thinking was still clear: "I only made inferences about the murderer's criminal identity. As for concluding that the other party was a security guard at Sam's Supermarket, it was based on the analysis of the information obtained so far.
Dean, you have to know that many security guards have either served as soldiers before or have received training similar to that of a police academy. They are actually professionals. This is the group of people that best fits my inference on the identity of the murderer."
The current information is focused on Sam’s Supermarket.
Coupled with the criminal's psychological reasoning, the identity of the murderer is described.
When the two are combined, it becomes what Lawrence calls intuition.
It sounds nonsense.
But Dean knew that it actually made sense.
Lawrence's inference, coupled with the current clues, the intersection points that can intersect with each other are likely to be the characteristics of the suspect.
Dean started from logic based on the current clues.
Lawrence derived it from the criminal mind.
This opened the door to a new world for Dean in terms of ideas for solving crimes.
"Lawrence, if your inference is correct, as long as we secretly collect the information of those security guards and schedule them, it will be easy to find the suspects with the time of the crime."
"In addition, the supermarket has surveillance. We can find out the last time the two victims went to the supermarket and check their surveillance. In this way, we may be able to directly find the security guard who came into contact with them."
Dean added and looked up, only to find that Lawrence had fallen asleep on the bar at some unknown time.
"Rookie!"
Dean raised his middle finger and simply called home, saying that after spending the night outside today, he would take Lawrence to find a hotel to check into.
Thanks to the open atmosphere here.
When Dean checked into the room, he felt the ambiguous and regretful look in the front desk's eyes.
The beautiful front desk, looking at Dean's handsome face, thoughtfully reminded him before he left that there was a protective umbrella of love beside his bed.
Dean: "."
What a kind little girl.
grass!
the next day.
Lawrence's roar, like a killing pig, woke up Dean who was sleeping.
"FK, Dean, what did you do to me!"
Lawrence's face was sinister, with an expression of disbelief. He stared at Dean aggrievedly and unspeakably, and covered his buttocks with his big, hairy hands.
"Do you suspect that I stabbed you?"
Dean has some doubts about life.
Even if I'm gay, I won't look for you.
Don’t you know how to look in the mirror?
"I don't believe it either, but can you explain why my back hurts so much!" Lawrence said with regret on his face, feeling that he had mistakenly believed it.
Dean scratched his head: "Lawrence, could it be that you have hemorrhoids? To be honest, if I had stabbed you, you would have been in the hospital by now."
After saying that, Dean was too lazy to get a haircut and Lawrence got up to take a shower.
Lawrence still wanted to say something, but accidentally saw the dragon and snake swimming under Dean's pajamas while he was walking, and silently closed his mouth.
All right.
Dean has a point.
The two organized themselves for a while, took a taxi to the parking lot of Sam's Supermarket, and drove back to the police detective station.
As soon as you enter the office.
Harry, this kid, ran over excitedly: "Oh, guys, I heard about your heroic deeds yesterday. Can I interview you?"
"Damn it, did it spread so fast!" Lawrence cursed and hid at his workstation.
He is a bit thin-skinned.
Dean is different.
As long as you are shameless, you will not feel ashamed.
He looked at Harry curiously: "You are very well-informed."
"Of course, I'm Harry, the humanoid TMZ of the Los Angeles Police Department." Harry said proudly.
TMZ is an entertainment news website in the United States. It has broken many sensational news and is very famous.
"Are you sure?"
"Dean, you have to know that the horses I know are all over the police stations in Los Angeles, and there is no news that I, Harry, can't get!"
Harry shook his fingers, his expression showing vicissitudes of life and defeat.
Dean was impressed by Harry.
Having a well-informed colleague is undoubtedly a good thing.
There happens to be something that Harry can help with right now.
Dean pretended to be suspicious: "Harry, what you said is too exaggerated. I don't believe it, unless you can get all the security information of the Sam's supermarket where we failed."
"Security information?"
Harry became interested: "Do you want to seek revenge on those two people? Before the case is solved, the captain will not let you do whatever you want."
Dean shook his head: "How could we be so stingy? The security guard is also a suspect. We are just working hard to solve the case."
Harry was still dubious: "Okay, I will help, but Lawrence is definitely stingy. You know, he comes to the police station so early every day just for free coffee."
Dean glanced at Lawrence's position.
This guy is already holding a cup of coffee and drinking it
This made Dean a little suspicious. Lawrence got drunk so easily yesterday, maybe on purpose, because he paid for the drink and the rent in the end!
Daisy's fishing plan yesterday didn't yield any results.
Lawrence and Dean were also severely criticized by captain Meng En in front of everyone because of their rashness yesterday.
The security information is not available yet.
Lawrence simply took Dean to the residence of the two previous victims and started investigating again, which could be regarded as teaching Dean.
Dean has been ill for a long time and has been cleaning up crime scenes in his previous life. He is undoubtedly very talented in this area.
Some investigation.
I actually found a new clue!
