Chapter 90: The Three Emperors and the Five Emperors Govern the World

However, it is said that after the Queen Mother of the West returned to heaven, she ordered all officials to perform their respective duties, promoted close associates, and eliminated dissidents. She gradually took all the rights of Haotian into her own hands, and the human world where Haotian was reincarnated was also prosperous at this time.

After the governance of the three emperors of heaven, earth, and humans, the human race has greatly improved its living standards. It is no longer as backward as after the Lich War. It gradually shows signs of great prosperity and looks like a protagonist in heaven and earth.

Xuanyuan ruled the human race for fifty-two years. According to the movement patterns of the sun, moon and stars, he combined what he learned and wrote a book called "Huangdi Neijing". This book includes eighty-one chapters of "Suwen" and eighty-one chapters of "Lingshu".

There are nine volumes.

As soon as this book was completed, Shennong came from Huoyun Palace and told him that after his merits were fulfilled, he should pass on the throne of Human Emperor and then go to Huoyun Palace to repair it. The Yellow Emperor was overjoyed when he heard this, so he summoned his ministers and announced his abdication.

Regarding the matter, he ordered his ministers to nominate a new emperor.

Some ministers recommended Xuanyuan's grandson Zhuanxu, saying that Zhuanxu was a man of few virtues and could be in charge of the human race. All the ministers agreed. After hearing this, Xuanyuan nodded in agreement and ordered everyone to prepare for the succession of the throne.

Three days later, Xuanyuan followed the rules of the first two human emperors and first worshiped the Holy Master, the Holy Mother, and the Supreme Lord. Then, under the witness of the prehistoric people, he passed the throne of human emperor to his grandson Zhuanxu.

Just after Xuanyuan passed on the title of Human Emperor to Zhuanxu, two holy emperors, Fuxi and Shen Nong, descended from the sky in dragon chariots and said to Xuanyuan with a smile: "Congratulations to my brother for your perfect merits and attaining the title of Human Emperor, which makes him equal to me."

Go to Huoyun Palace to practice." After saying that, he gave up half of the seats and invited Xuanyuan to sit with him.

Xuanyuan saluted and said, "Excuse me, two royal brothers, to come here. Xuanyuan is very frightened." After saying that, he boarded the dragon chariot and Fuxi, and Shennong flew to Huoyun Palace together.

The moment Xuanyuan boarded the dragon chariot, a stream of merit fell from the sky, which also raised Xuanyuan's cultivation level to the late quasi-sage stage. Dozens more merit fell across the ancient world and were obtained by the immortals who helped Xuanyuan back then.

Because the Zhenyi clan did not want to participate in the internal fighting of the human race, the merits they gained were not as good as those of the previous two imperial masters. However, they had the lowest cultivation level among the three ancestors of the human race, and were only in the mid-stage of quasi-sage.

As for the Twelve Golden Immortals, it was because they killed too many ordinary people. Not only did they not achieve any merit, but they caused boundless karma.

However, Xuanyuan was ordered to take away the Kongtong Seal and Xuanyuan Sword this time, and only passed down the Nine Dragons Star Crown. Since then, the era of three emperors has ended, and the human race has entered the era of five emperors.

From that time on, it was difficult for the human emperors to enter the Huoyun Palace to cultivate unless they had great merits. They could only enjoy the wealth and honor in the world. Later generations believed that Shennong had the virtue of fire, so he was respected as the Yan Emperor; Xuanyuan had the virtue of earth, so he was respected as the Yellow Emperor.

, people in later generations call themselves descendants of Yan and Huang.

Although assisting the Five Emperors has merits, it is far inferior to teaching the Three Emperors. What's more, with the living example of the Twelve Golden Immortals, Yuanshi Tianzun no longer dares to easily send out disciples; but the Tongtian Cult Leader has no scruples and keeps sending out disciples.

The disciple went to the lower realm and gradually left a good reputation among the human race.

But it is said that Zhuanxu took over as empress, named Gaoyang, and encouraged the people to raise various crops and livestock to make full use of the land, calculate the four seasons to conform to nature, follow the ghosts and gods to formulate etiquette, straighten out the energy of the four seasons and five elements to educate the people, and purify the body and mind.

To worship ghosts and gods.

During Zhuanxu's reign, an important religious reform was also carried out. Many small tribes that had been conquered by the Yellow Emperor generally worshiped various imps and gods. Zhuanxu forced them to obey the teachings of the Yanhuang tribe and only worship the Holy Master and the Holy Mother.

Taishang Laojun, the sages of the human race, and the twelve zodiac signs and other great gods who have helped the human race banned the sacrifices to various ghosts and gods. This reform promoted the integration between tribes.

In the seventy-eighth year of Zhuan Xu's reign, he was located in Gaoxin and was called Emperor Ku. Emperor Ku was born with great aura. He had sharp ears and eyes, and could understand the situation in the distance and discern the subtle things. He followed the will of God and understood

What the people are anxious about.

The emperor governs the people as impartially as rainwater irrigates the farmland, all over the world, wherever the sun and moon shine, wherever the wind and rain go, no one disobeys and submits.

After Emperor Ku died, his son Zhi succeeded to the throne, but Emperor Zhi had no outstanding political achievements. In the ninth year of Emperor Zhi's reign, Zhi personally led officials to the Tang Dynasty to surrender the throne to Fangxun, who succeeded him as emperor, and the emperor was named Yao.

Yao shared the joys and sorrows with the people, developed agriculture, properly handled various government affairs, governed the world in an orderly manner, and was supported by officials and ordinary people.

At the beginning of Yao's accession to the throne, the astronomical calendar was not yet perfect, and the people often missed the farming season. Therefore, Yao used his ancestral weavers to summarize the experience of his predecessors, draw up a calendar based on the movements of the sun, the moon, and the positions of the stars, and carefully taught the people to engage in production.

the season; the root

According to the movement of the sun, moon, stars and other celestial phenomena and natural phenology, we can estimate the time and determine the four seasons; we also use one cycle of the moon as one month, one cycle of the sun as one year, and one year as 366 days.

Ways to correct the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter.

When Yao was old, he followed the recommendation of everyone and raised Shun as his heir. He also married his two daughters Ehuang and Nvying to Shun, inspected Shun's character, and let Shun handle political affairs for him to observe him.

Is it in line with God's will to be the emperor?

In the later period of Emperor Yao's reign, floods broke out and the people suffered terribly. Emperor Yao asked a group of ministers: "The floods are surging to the sky, and the mountains and mausoleums are vast. The people are worried about them. Is there anyone who can rule them?"

All the ministers said that it was not possible to control the flood except Gun. Emperor Yao nodded in agreement and asked Gun to control the flood.

Gun knew that Emperor Yao had ordered him to control the floods and laughed and said: "If you want to cure the floods but it takes a little effort, Yao is really overqualified for his talents." Everyone laughed at this.

After taking office, Gun led the people to control the floods. However, Gun only knew how to block the floods, but he only knew how to block the floods. If there was water in the east, he would block the east, and if there was water in the west, he would block the west. In this way, the east and west would be blocked.

Gun was busy for nine years but still failed to control the flood.

In the end, Shun acted as the emperor and killed Gun in Yushan to punish him for failing to control the floods. He accepted everyone's suggestions and sent Gun's son Dayu to continue to control the floods.

After Dayu was appointed, he immediately inspected the river course with Yi and Hou Ji, and summoned the people from all over the world to come to help. He reviewed the reasons for Gun's failure, decided to reform the water control method, changed from blocking to channeling, and personally climbed over the mountains and ridges, and crossed the river.

River, holding tools, from west to east, measuring the height of the terrain, setting benchmarks, and planning waterways.

Dayu led the migrant workers to travel around the country, digging mountains and building embankments when encountering depressions, in order to divert floods into the sea. In order to control the water, Yu worked hard and was not afraid of hard work. He never dared to rest. But Dayu had to face not only floods and

High mountains, and all kinds of monsters come with the floods.

On this day, Dayu came to the vicinity of Tongbai Mountain to control the floods. Suddenly, he saw strong winds, lightning and thunder on the Huai River. The Huai River seemed to be driven by an unknown force, and the wind and waves were strong.

After a while, I saw a churning on the Huai River, and a water monster floated up. I saw that the water monster looked like a giant ape, about a hundred feet tall, with a pair of sharp claws glowing with golden light, and fishy water flowed out of its mouth and nose from time to time. It was difficult to see the filth.

The smell makes people dare not approach. This water monster is none other than the ancient water ape Wu Zhi Qi. This ape is good at transformation and is even more powerful than Jiulong. It is also good at controlling water. It is said that its ability to control water is not much worse than that of Gong Gong.

In Zifu Prefecture, in the main hall with the word "water", Zhu Yan, who was giving a sermon, suddenly smiled and said to himself: "The red-breasted horse and monkey appear in this world, but they are worthy of being my disciples!" After saying this, he said to the person next to him.

Yuan Jue ordered: "Go to Tongbai Mountain and bring your junior brother here!"

Yuan Jue's ears twitched slightly when he heard this, but he had already discovered the red-breasted horse monkey on Tongbai Mountain. He immediately said excitedly: "Disciple, obey!" After saying that, he somersaulted through the air and left.

In the "demon" hall, an iron rod and a giant ax suddenly appeared in front of Nvjiao, and she heard a long sigh: "Come down the mountain and face the disaster!"
