Chapter 160 Backstab

"Everyone, sit down!"

"Amano-kun, please!"

Hanatani made some concessions to Amano Rokuro, and when he saw that he refused to sit in the main seat, he sat down on him.

Chen Zhen walked into the conference room at this time and sat in the lower seat of Amano Rokuro, facing Han Youjie.

Han Youjie also looked at the swinger brother opposite. She had heard various rumors about Chen Zhen when she was in Xinjing.

But this Mr. Chen is a guest of his mortal enemy. He often supports that bastard and even helps her buy a mansion in Fengtian.

This turned off Han Youjie's appetite and made him feel more disgusted, so he stopped contacting the heir to the Chen family.

Chen Zhen could clearly feel that Han Youjie's eyes were on him, sweeping here and there, but he pretended not to notice and looked at Hua Guzheng in the main seat with a smile on his face.

Because according to the file information, this was his first time engaging in police work, and he had not received corresponding training before and could not have keen senses.

Hua Guzheng and Han Youjie have received professional training. Once they become suspicious, it will take a lot of effort to disarm them in the future.

"Everyone is here, let's have a meeting!"

Hua Guzheng changed his previous decadent posture, his face was solemn and solemn, and he looked like an iron-blooded soldier.

It was just the blue eyes that gave him away. He was old, had a rough time, and his body was a bit weak.

Everyone present immediately sat up straight, waiting for Hanatani Masaru's jade voice to come out.

"Mr. Qian, the Intelligence Department and the Muto Agency have agreed to your request."

"Twenty gold bars and a ferry ticket to Hong Kong."

"As long as the task is completed, you can take it away and go to any place you want to go!"

With a smile on his face, Huagu looked towards Qian Zhongshan at the end of the table and told him the good news.

Qian Zhongshan immediately raised his head and looked at Hua Guzheng with excitement. He wanted to stand up, but was held down by the guard behind him.

"General, thank you very much. I...I will definitely help you catch all those damn guys in one fell swoop..."

Qian Zhongshan's words made everyone present show contempt on their faces.

In his position, he seeks his own government.

As a senior agent of the Party Affairs Investigation Division, you, Qian Zhongshan, have no sense of loyalty at all.

If you treat the organization that trained you like this, what about the colleagues around you? Who would dare to associate with such a villain in the future?

"Mr. Qian's words of loyalty are very good."

"Your matters have been taken care of, you can go back to work."

"Be careful on the road!"

Hua Guzheng nodded with satisfaction, said a few polite words, and gave the order to expel the guest.

The guard from the Inspectorate first glanced at Xiao Anzi sitting by the window, and when he saw him quietly nodding, he immediately picked up Qian Zhongshan and took him out of the conference room.

"Okay, all the irrelevant people have left."

"We have to do something serious!"

Hua Gu was watching Qian Zhongshan leave, turned his head, looked at everyone and said with a smile, and waved to his secretary.

When Ozawa Tenbutsu saw the commander's gesture, he immediately understood that it was time for him to appear on the stage.

"All rise!"

Ozawa Tenbutsu shouted, and everyone present, including Hanatani Masaru, stood up and stood at attention.

"Kwantung Army Order 117."

"The commander-in-chief of the Kwantung Army, General Muto Nobuyoshi, appointed the director of the Kwantung Army's Intelligence Department and Major General Masaru Hanatani as the ambassador for negotiations on the Middle East Road in Manchuria."

"Have full authority to handle and negotiate the ownership of the Middle East Road."

"When the order comes, it takes effect immediately."

"The eighth year of the Showa era, spring, February 19th."

This letter of appointment is only a little over a hundred words long.

Ozawa Tianfo recited it very quickly and finished it in two minutes.

A few seconds after he finished speaking, enthusiastic applause erupted in the conference room.

Chen Zhen clapped his hands enthusiastically, but his heart was filled with huge waves.

If Marshal Zhang chooses the decision he regrets most in his life, it must be the Middle East Road Incident, which must be ranked among the top three.

The Middle East Road, also known as the Eastern Provincial Railway and the Dongqing Railway, is a railway starting from Chita in Jiangsu Province and ending in Vladivostok, with a total length of 2,186 kilometers.

Among them, the section in China is the main line from Manzhouli to Suifenhe, which is 1,484 kilometers long, and the branch line from Harbin to Changchun, which is 241 kilometers long.

After the Russo-Japanese War, the Changchun-Dalian section of the original branch line was occupied by Japan and was renamed the South Manchuria Railway.

According to the China-Russia agreement, the railway operation business is jointly managed by China and Russia.

After the young and energetic young marshal took power, he tried to implement his plan to recover the rights and interests in Northeast China, starting from the special rights and interests held by the Soviet Union in Northern Manchuria.

Lu Ronghuan, the Chinese Middle East Road Supervisor and Chairman of the Board of Directors, accepted the instruction and made serious representations to Chi Erjin, the Soviet Vice Chairman, on the issue of China's power in the Middle East Road.

Not only did Su Fang ignore it, but he further occupied the director positions of six major departments: engine maintenance, vehicle maintenance, general affairs, commerce, finance, and revenue.

It only agreed to transfer minor positions such as printing offices, libraries, and observatories to China.

With the support of Nanjing, the young marshal decided to abandon the policy of peaceful negotiation and prepare to solve the problem by force.

Then Marshal Zhang directly ordered the military and police to search the Soviet Consulate in Harbin and monitor the consul general and staff.

Afterwards, he ordered the forced takeover of the Middle East Road, dismissed Soviet personnel from their posts, arrested more than 200 Soviet employees, and expelled more than 60 Soviet people, including the chief and deputy directors, from Northeast China.

After three months of war of words between the Fengxi and the Soviet Union, the famous Battle of Tongjiang finally broke out on October 12.

In the early morning, the Soviet army dispatched 25 aircraft, 10 warships, and more than 40 machine gun carriages. Later, it sent more than 800 cavalry and more than 3,000 infantry to launch a large-scale attack on the Chinese defenders of Tongjiang.

After the Fengtian Navy's Jiang Defense Fleet resisted tenaciously, they were almost wiped out. Five ships, including Jiangping, Jiang'an, Jiangtai, Lijie, and Dongyi, were sunk. The Lisui ship was seriously injured and fled back to Fujin.

At the same time, 17 officers below the regiment level were killed, and more than 700 soldiers suffered casualties.

By 3 o'clock in the afternoon, the Soviet army captured Tongjiang County, and the Chinese defenders were forced to retreat to Fujin.

Since the Soviet troops retreated quickly afterwards, Nanjing firmly believed that the Soviet Union would not launch a large-scale attack in the short term, so its attitude remained uncompromising.

As a result, starting from November 17, the Soviet army launched another large-scale offensive in two east-west routes. The west route mainly attacked Manzhouli and Zalannuoer, while the east route pointed to Suifenhe and Mishan counties respectively, and bombed Mudanjiang.

The east road went more than a hundred miles deep, captured Mishan County, and entered the area north of JMS and east of Mudanjiang.

The west route also led from Manchuria, Zaranor, and through Chaogang to capture Hylar in one go.

The HLJ defender Han Guangdi's brigade was completely destroyed, and both the brigade commander and regimental commander were killed; Liang Zhongjia's brigade was forced to surrender because it failed to break through.

Tens of thousands of people were captured by the defenders of the two brigades on the West Road alone, and other personnel and property losses were even more numerous.

This conflict lasted for nearly five months. Both sides deployed more than 200,000 front-line troops, including more than 100,000 from the Northeast Army and 80,000 from the Soviet Union.

After the war, the Northeast Army suffered 2,000 casualties and more than 7,000 prisoners.

The Soviet army suffered very little losses, with only 143 people killed, 4 missing, and 665 injured.

This also allowed the Kwantung Army's intelligence department to see that Feng Feng was a powerful foreign force but it did not take immediate action. Instead, four years later, it brazenly launched a sneak attack on the Peking Camp.

For such a major diplomatic change, the preliminary negotiations between the two parties will take at least one or two months.

Why didn't the Northern Bureau get wind of it? Did the Communist International also know about it?

Even in the intelligence market, there was no news at all.
