Chapter 31 Wei En’s Ambition

This is not Wayne's "first time" flying, but as a man of two generations, this is indeed his first time going abroad, and it is not traveling abroad.

The 2010 Doha World Indoor Athletics Championships is the 13th indoor world championships organized by the IAAF. It will be held from March 12th to March 14th, 2010 at the Asbeir Stadium in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

Since the 21st century, Qatar, a rich country with endless money to spend, has been constantly seeking international recognition in various fields. Starting from the Qatar Super Athletics Grand Prix, it has successively hosted many sports events.

This year's World Indoor Championships and the Diamond League on May 14 are bound to attract countless international attention to this wealthy country in the Middle East.

For Wei En, this Doha World Indoor Championships is also the best venue for him to become famous!

The world has always worshiped champions, and this seems to be extremely obvious among the Chinese.

Of course, Wei En didn't dare to be ashamed, thinking that he could reach the sky in one step and reach the top of the world directly.

But at the age of 17, if he can really achieve what his predecessors have achieved, he will definitely gain the attention and expectations of countless people in the country.

After the plane took off and stabilized, Wei En immediately put on his eye mask and started to rest.

In order to improve as much as possible before the game, he used up the attribute point he gained from winning the Yanjing Station of the National Indoor Track and Field Championships last night.

But what was a bit dramatic was that because he had previously stayed in a hotel arranged by the Land Management Center, in order not to be discovered when he was trying to get extra points, he sneaked out and opened a large suite in another nearby hotel.

When he went back the next morning, Chen Wenzhong patted him on the shoulder and warned him: "Young people are full of energy and want to vent it out. I understand this, but you can't stay out at night from now on! Also, it's best not to look outside in the future.

You said you're quite handsome, wouldn't you rather find a girlfriend?"

Wei En didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He knew that he couldn't explain clearly, so he simply stopped explaining.

Because he was going to compete in the World Indoor Championships next, Wei En added this attribute point to the [Strength] attribute without hesitation:

Strength:75→76

Stamina:72

Coordination:76

Physical fitness:77

Reactions: 73

Points available for distribution: 0

The systematic [strength] strengthening is very humane, and seems to be specifically designed to help Wei En improve his competitiveness in the indoor 60 meters, so the parts strengthened this time are the ankle joint, calf tendon and psoas muscle.

The improvement of the [Strength] attribute for the ankle joint mainly lies in the strengthening of "foot and ankle rigidity".

The so-called "foot and ankle stiffness" is a concept in track and field training.

It uses the rigid lever of the ankle at an angle to allow the power of flexion and extension of the lower limbs to be transmitted to the maximum extent. Through the rigid lever of the ankle, it is transmitted to the toes and soles of the feet touching the ground, so that the ground and the human body

The interaction force between joints reduces the energy loss caused by joint activities, and ultimately achieves the purpose of allowing the human body to move forward with maximum energy.

(I won’t introduce the calf and calf tendons. Friends who have a little exposure to sports should know the function of this part. The psoas major muscle has been described before)

After being strengthened in this way, Wei En suddenly felt that his path was a little off track. After all, before obtaining the system, he was a typical late-range running method.

Due to his height, the upper limit of his stride length is naturally there, so during the initial training, the training plan formulated by the city team coach basically revolved around his ability to run on the road.

Wei En's running skills on the road are mainly dominated by rear-side skills. As early as when he mastered [Explosive Start-Introduction] through the system, his rear-side skills have already reached the level of [Dengcheng], and his front-side skills have barely reached the level.

Reached the [entry level] level.

So now Wei En is a little confused as to whether he should improve his backside skills or frontside skills next.

The template for his [explosive start] technique is Asafa Powell. Logically speaking, he should follow Powell's route and change his mid-course running technique to a front-side technique-oriented model.

If he hopes that his next track and field career will only involve the 100 meters and long jump, this choice is certainly a good one. Although world record holder Usain Bolt is a typical master of rear-side skills, it does not mean that he will be able to compete in the 100 meters and long jump.

In the meter project, front-side technology must be weaker than rear-side technology.

But Wayne has a bold idea in his heart: he wants to become "Jesse Owens No. 3".

In fact, when he first came into contact with track and field, long jump was his main event.

At the school sports meeting in the third grade of junior high school, with the physical education teacher guiding two classes (normal classes), he signed up to participate in the two single events of long jump and triple jump.

The long jump score was 6.41 meters and the triple jump score was 11.08 meters.

Then he joined the school team, became famous in the city sports meeting, and entered the city team.

The 100-meter event was initially practiced by the city team coach to assist him in improving his long jump performance, while the 200-meter event was an auxiliary to improve his physical fitness and muscle endurance.

But in the history of track and field, there have been Jesse Owens and Carl Lewis, who is known as "Jesse Owens No. 2". These two were recognized by the world as the "greatest" before and after Bolt.

track and field athletes, then is it possible that a third one——

What about the athlete who has won three Olympic gold medals in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and long jump?

Wei En thinks he can give it a try. Although for now, the event that he needs to focus on most must be the 100 meters, no one can predict what will happen in the future.

If we really want to develop the 200-meter event in the future, then Wei En will not have to worry about front-side technology and rear-side technology.

It must be the rear technology!

**********

Time is a little tight. The Chinese national track and field team took off on the Yanjing-Doha flight at noon on March 9 and arrived at Hamad International Airport in Doha around 23:30 that day.

The World Indoor Athletics Championships in Doha starts on the 12th, so the team members only have two days to adapt to the venue.

Fortunately, the venue was Doha, and the flight was in the same time zone, so the mental and physical conditions of the team members were maintained well.

While adapting to the venue in the Asbel Stadium, Wei En saw many familiar masters from all walks of life, and introduced them one by one to Lao Yi, who was not familiar with these international famous players.

"The one with a long neck and a mustache on his lips is England's Devan Chambers, a 1978 veteran. His indoor 60-meter PB is 6 seconds 42. Well... He took drugs, in 2004

Banned for two years."

"The one wearing the headband is Michael Rogers from the United States. His PB is 6.51 seconds. He is a model worker in the industry."

"The short, stocky guy with a beard at the corner of his mouth is Nesta Carter from Jamaica, with a PB of 6.54 seconds."

"The one with tattoos on his arms and always laughing is Daniel Bailey. He just set a new personal best at the Reebok Indoor Games in Boston on February 6, with a PB of 6.54 seconds."

"And that..."

"I know this, Xiaori... Mr. Jiangliguchi, who lived a good life as a child."
