7, Chapter 7(2/2)

Li Dali touched his nose and said, "Isn't it just spring? I haven't had time to take care of it yet?"

I don’t have time to take care of the fields, but I have time to go to town and drink.

Jing Li cursed.

Farmers were most afraid that others would think they were lazy, so Li Dali explained a few words. However, Qin Zhao didn't care about this and just nodded lightly without saying anything.

In this era, most of the land was privately owned, but the fields that each household could manage were limited, so the sale and lease of fields was common.

Li Dali has the only labor force in his family, so naturally he cannot take care of so many fields.

Qin Zhao glanced at the field thoughtfully.

After entering the village, they both walked to the west. When passing a small courtyard, Li Dali stopped and said, "This is my home. Why don't you go in and have a quick meal to thank you for saving your life?"

Qin Zhaodao: "It takes a little effort, so there is no need to do this."

Li Dali thought for a while and said to Qin Zhao: "Then wait for me for a while."

He walked into the yard.

There are only two meals a day in the village, and it is mid-morning meal time. The aroma of cooking smoke and food is everywhere in the village.

Li Dali came out quickly, holding half a slaughtered chicken and a basket of eggs.

"I have nothing to thank you for at home, so you can take these things." Li Dali said, "The eggs are laid by myself at home. I just killed this chicken yesterday, and there is exactly half of it left. Don't dislike it."

Qin Zhao shook his head: "No need, I..."

His words were sudden.

In the basket behind him, the little koi carp changed from its previous calm demeanor and swung its tail vigorously in the water, almost splashing the water out of the barrel.

Meat is a rare thing in this small mountain village. Jing Li has rarely eaten meat since he time traveled to the present. The last time he ate it was the meat buns that Qin Zhao bought for him when he went to get medicine. The filling was just a little, and there was no meat at all.

Can't even taste it.

He hasn’t eaten chicken for a long time...

Li Dali said: "Why are you being polite to me? You saved my life. If you don't give me anything, I'll feel uneasy. Besides, we are all neighbors, so we have to help each other in the future!"

Qin Zhao was not used to taking other people's things and said: "We should help each other, so..."

The little koi behind him shook even more energetically.

"..." Qin Zhao changed his words and said helplessly, "Thank you very much."

After a while, Qin Zhao carried half a chicken and a basket of eggs, and carried the little koi back home.

He put the things on the stove and took out the wooden bucket with the little koi in it: "Are you happy now?"

Jing Li is naturally happy.

The little koi looked up at Qin Zhao, its tail wagging very vigorously, and even its eyes were much brighter than usual.

There needs to be meat to eat!

The energetic look on his face made Qin Zhao helpless, and he tapped him lightly on the head: "Little greedy fish."

Qin Zhao set up Jing Li and was about to deal with the ingredients when he suddenly heard someone knocking on the door.

This is Chen Yanan.

He seemed to have been running all the way, panting and sweating profusely.

Before Qin Zhao could speak, Chen Yanan stepped through the door first and pushed Qin Zhao out without saying a word: "Hurry up and leave!"

Qin Zhao did not move, frowned and asked: "What are you doing?"
