69 Prosperous World(1/2)

Fifteen years later.

In the summer of 1960, the sun was dazzling.

The British Ministry of Magic Building, on the first floor. In the fireplace, which is used for nostalgic and ornamental furnishings, the fire suddenly jumped. A young man rolled out of the fireplace in a rather embarrassed manner, and the hangings and spider plants on the fireplace jingled.

shake.

However, the young man's reaction was quite quick, and he reached out and caught the falling objects in his hand one after another.

However, his clothes were in a mess and his hair was stained with ashes. The men talking to several men wearing suit jackets and carrying briefcases were startled and quickly stepped aside to avoid him.

"Hey, young man, why did you come out of the old fireplace?" The wizard in a suit pinched his nose, "This thing has been out of use for many years."

The young man did not answer his question, but asked anxiously, "Where is the office of the Minister of Magic?"

"Minister of Magic?" The man holding the briefcase looked at the young man in front of him in surprise, "What are you doing with Minister Bach?"

"I..."

Before the gray-faced young man had time to speak, he saw a male employee wearing a kilt and slippers running towards him in the distance. He was holding a large pile of documents, panting as he ran, and was using a levitating spell beside him.

Controlling a pair of documents, he looked like a pile of documents with legs. As he ran, he shouted, "Give way, give way!!"

The guy was walking towards an elevator door that was about to close, and he was about to hit it.

"Hey, be careful!"

Baldi rushed over at lightning speed and quickly held the elevator door with her hands, holding the elevator door for the pile of documents with legs to prevent her from running into the closed elevator door.

"Oh, thank you, man." A young man wearing thick glasses poked his head out from behind the file. He looked at the elevator door with lingering fear and said, "Good guy, I almost scattered the file. I'm sorry.

for a whole day.”

Baldi followed the man into the elevator and asked impatiently: "Excuse me, which floor is Minister Bach's office on?"

"The minister went to Moscow for a visit today, didn't you know?"

The man holding a stack of documents said curiously: "Dude, is it really okay for you to see the Minister of Magic in such a dirty manner?"

"I have something important." The young man shook a letter with a red stamp in his hand and emphasized: "It's a very important thing!"

The man holding the document looked over and saw clearly the seal pattern on the stamp, with a clear look on his face: "From Hogwarts?"

"Yes," the young man puffed out his chest.

"Come with me. I happen to have to deliver the signed documents to the minister. But let me remind you, his secretary is not easy to deal with. If you don't explain your purpose, she won't let you in at all."

After saying that, the elevator door dinged open.

Baldi trotted behind the man holding the documents and asked in shock: "Are all these documents signed by the minister alone?"

The young man rolled his eyes: "This is the third time I have sent it today. This job was originally done by his secretary, but his secretary's feet got sprained recently..."

Baldi was stunned. He had long heard that the current Minister of Magic, Hoffa Bach, was a famous workaholic. He didn't expect it to be more exaggerated than the rumors outside.

Just as they walked through the hallway and came to the hall of the Minister of Magic's office, someone stopped him very dissatisfied: "Hey, cockscomb head, don't rush in so fast! What do you do?"

The cockscomb-headed Baldi stopped and felt himself combing the hair on his head. The young man delivering the document gave him a "good luck" look, and trotted away with the document in his arms.

Baldi turned around and saw that it was a middle-aged woman sitting at the desk, looking at him sternly with squinting eyes, "What are you looking at? You guy from that department wants to see the Minister of Magic without an appointment."

!?"

Her tone was so terrifying that other office workers sitting in the office raised their heads and stared at the young man who broke in with disheveled clothes and messy hair.

"Oh... God...!" Baldi blushed, and he covered his head in annoyance, "Listen, I'm not an official of the Ministry of Magic, I'm an assistant teacher at Hogwarts, and I work for Dumbledore.

Principal Lido’s command to send a letter to the minister.”

Dumbledore's letter!

The middle-aged woman's expression softened a little, and he stretched out his hand, "You can't do it without an appointment. Give me the letter and I will deliver it to you."

Everyone in the office looked at him curiously. Baldi felt extremely stressed, but he still stubbornly hid the letter behind his back.

This action caused several people in the office to burst into laughter. Baldi didn't know what they were laughing at. But it must have something to do with the middle-aged woman.

Sure enough, the middle-aged woman limped out from behind the desk and walked up to Baldi with an unkind expression.

"Hey, brat, I'm afraid you didn't mean to make it difficult for me to work for you. The minister's letters must be approved by me before they can be sent to the minister for review. If you still don't know what's interesting, don't blame me for calling the Auror...

.”

"oops!"

Baldi was anxious. He looked around and whispered in the woman's ear, "The content of the letter is about the minister's children... I have something to say that must be conveyed to the minister in person."

When she heard it was about the minister's children, the meanness on the middle-aged woman's face quickly disappeared. She limped back to her desk, quickly grabbed the phone and fiddled with a few buttons. After the call was connected, she covered the phone.

, said a few words quickly in a jittery tone, while still looking at Baldi with his eyes.

Soon, the middle-aged woman put down the phone, pointed to a set of sofas in the distance, and said calmly: "Go there and sit and wait. You are very lucky. The minister will be back from Moscow in half an hour."

call...

Baldi breathed a sigh of relief and felt less anxious.

He sat on the sofa and began to wait. People in the Minister of Magic's office continued their respective work, busy but quiet.

After waiting for a while, Baldi saw that no one was paying attention to him anymore, so he wandered around the office curiously. This was the top of power in the magical world, but it looked surprisingly ordinary.

There are not many special decorations in the entire office, but there are many photos hung up. The photos are all black and white. If you look closely, they are all old photos from more than ten years ago. Most of the photos contain tragic and real war scenes.

.

Baldi is a member of the new generation. He has no memory of the protracted war in the past. However, he has heard about it in books, teachers, and elders. It was the most powerful war in the magical world so far.

The terrible war is also the most cutting-edge change.

Following the photo wall, he came to the glass curtain wall of the Ministry of Magic Building. In the sky outside the glass window, a white airship slowly flew past. Under the airship, there was an endless flow of magic flying carpets and patches of floating high-rise buildings.

There are also some vehicles flying in the sky, as well as lush forests beside the road.

The extreme prosperity outside was in stark contrast to the tragedy in the photos. Baldi suddenly realized the purpose of the minister's arrangement. Did he hang the past photos on the wall to remind himself all the time?

Just as I was thinking about it, there was a commotion in the porch.

Several Aurors surrounded a middle-aged man wearing dark black wizard robes and walking from the foyer. He was in his thirties, with black and white hair, energetic, and walked with a strong spirit. A young female secretary was standing next to him.

Beside him, he ran and turned over the documents in his hands, chattering non-stop.

Baldi immediately recognized the man in the crowd, although he had seen Hoffa Bach countless times on posters and in the magic broadcast booth - the man who ended the war and rebuilt the wizarding society, the only magician in history who was elected three times in a row.

The Minister of Magic is also the most powerful person in the world. He is the idol of countless young wizards. Baldi has read his speeches countless times, but when he actually stood in front of the Minister of Magic, his legs were still weak.

Already.

"Minister Bach..."

Hoffa stammered as he passed by.

He was probably too busy, or maybe the secretary next to him was too talkative. The group of people walked directly in front of Baldi, and no one noticed Baldi.

Seeing that the Minister of Magic was about to enter the office, Baldi finally plucked up the courage and shouted: "Minister Bach!"

When Hoffa heard someone calling him, he couldn't help but turn around and saw a young man with a cockscomb hair covered in ashes standing in his office. He was slightly surprised.

"Ba...Bach...Minister, I...I...I have something to ask you..."

Baldi was tongue-tied and stammered, sweat dripping from his forehead due to nervousness.

The Aurors next to the Minister of Magic saw that he was unfamiliar and in a mess, and they surrounded him with unkind expressions.

Hoffa immediately reached out and stopped several Aurors, and said gently: "If you have anything to do, please tell me slowly."

Baldi looked at the several Aurors around him, gritted his teeth, stood on tiptoes and whispered a few words in Hoffa's ear.

After hearing this, Hoffa nodded expressionlessly, pressed the boy's back, and led him into his office. As soon as he closed the door, he sighed: "How did Dumbledore handle it?"

Several Aurors left, and so did the chattering secretary. Baldi felt much relieved. He stopped stuttering and said sincerely: "Since you have so many things to do, Principal Dumbledore had to contact your wife first to ask her to

Please help me, but after your wife left, he ran to the highest point of Ravenclaw Tower and refused to come down."

Hoffa sighed: "I understand, now, he has not come down yet."

"I rode up on my broomstick to pick him up and handed him over to your wife. Your wife was furious, really furious...so Principal Dumbledore wrote this letter to you.

Let me deliver the letter to you in person. He asked me to tell you that everything is fine at school now. But if you can, please take some time to accompany him, otherwise..."

Baldi hesitated to speak.

"I understand." Hoffa said gently. He patted the young man on the back. "Thank you, Baldi. Thank you for your hard work."

The young man was shocked and asked in extreme surprise: "You, how do you know my name?"

"I heard Dumbledore mention you a long time ago. You are the Hufflepuff Seeker. You have ranked first in the final points for four consecutive years. I also watched your Quidditch match, in which you played against Ravenclaw.

, very exciting, very exciting." Hoffa said with praise.

The young man's eyes filled with tears, his whole body was shaking with excitement, and he felt that this man's whole body was glowing.

Hoffa smiled and helped him straighten his messy collar, and joked: "However, next time you come to the Ministry of Magic, remember to take the super floo network. The stove is now a souvenir, and you will have to pay for it if it is damaged."

"I...I know..." Baldi burst into tears and his whole body trembled with excitement.
