Chapter 460 Hagrid Falling In Love
Of course not!
Because I am lying to you!
How could the wizards of this world create an intelligent race out of thin air? That would have to be the power that only gods can touch.
"But...but they are also intelligent and have joy, anger, sorrow, and joy. They shouldn't live in such an environment!" Hermione murmured to herself in a low voice.
"Then maybe you can only know the answer to this question by asking their creator..." Karl tapped the table with his fingers and smiled slightly at her.
After getting this answer, Hermione sank like a deflated rubber ball, still mumbling something.
Hagrid wanted to step forward to comfort her, but she turned around and avoided him, so he had to clear the tableware on the table.
After the not-so-pleasant lunch, the sky began to rain. Carl sat by the stove, listening to the gentle patter of raindrops hitting the window. Beside him, Hagrid was sewing and mending with a ball of wool.
The big pumpkins outside the window that have absorbed water are becoming more and more tender. If you ignore the sulking little witch beside you, everything looks quite harmonious and comfortable.
It started to get dark after half past five, and Carl felt it was time to go back to the castle, not only for the Halloween dinner, but more importantly, when the names of the warriors from each school would be announced.
"I'll go with you." Hagrid chuckled inexplicably as if he thought of something happy. He put his needlework aside and said, "Please wait a moment."
He stood up, walked to the bed, and rummaged around in the cabinet with drawers to find something. At first, they didn't pay much attention to it, but over time, an unpleasant smell hit their noses.
Carl remained silent and didn't say anything, but quickly cast a bubble spell on himself. He glanced at Hermione, thought for a moment, moved his fingers slightly, and cast one on her too.
Ron coughed and asked, "Hagrid, what are you looking for? Ahem..."
"Ah?" Hagrid turned around and held a big bottle, "Don't you like it?"
"Is it cologne?" Hermione's expression was a little bored.
"Uh, yes...it's cologne," Hagrid muttered. He blushed and said vaguely, "Maybe there's a little too much...I'll wash it off later..."
He walked out of the hut and bent down to wash vigorously.
"Look!"
Several people were packing their things when Ron suddenly pointed out the window and shouted.
Karl looked in the direction of his finger. Hagrid had just stood up and turned around. If he was blushing just now, it was nothing compared to what he was doing now.
In order not to let the mixed-race giant who fell in love find them, they all stood up carefully and looked through the window. Mrs. Maxim and the group of Bill Beton students had just got off the carriage, and they were obviously ready to start.
Attend a banquet.
Hagrid was talking to her. Due to the distance, they couldn't hear what he said, but they could see his obsessed and psychedelic expression when he spoke.
Harry had only seen that look once, when he saw the baby dragon Norbert emerging from his shell in his first year.
"He plans to go to the castle with her!" Karl twitched, Hagrid's actions really aroused him, "I thought he was waiting for us!"
From a distance, he saw Hagrid following Madam Maxime without looking back. They walked quickly along the grounds towards the castle. Behind them, the Beauxbatons students were following their footsteps.
Jogging to keep up with their long strides.
"It's obvious! He likes her!" Ron shook his head. He felt that the world was really crazy. "Then, if they get to that point, they will set a world record - I bet
Their babies weigh a ton each!”
"A reasonable guess!" Carl echoed. Although he didn't know what the final outcome of Hagrid and Maxim would be, this did not prevent him from gossiping at all.
They laughed and walked out of the hut, closed the door, and walked up the sloping grass. It was already dark outside, and a cool breeze blew by. Harry couldn't help but wrap his cloak tightly.
"Oh, look, it's them!" Hermione whispered.
Without her reminding him, Karl saw the group of Derström people rising from the lake towards the castle from a distance. Krum and Karkaroff walked side by side, and other students followed scatteredly behind.
Ron looked at Krum excitedly. He couldn't let him go in the end, but what made him feel regretful was that Krum didn't look around and walked straight into the castle.
Today is Halloween, and the entire hall has been decorated by professors.
Dark bats flapped their wings and flew through the starry sky above their heads. Blue will-o'-the-wisps glowed in the pumpkin lanterns, floating everywhere under the influence of magic. Ghosts screamed and whizzed past...
They walked through the corridor between the long tables and found a seat to sit down. The hall was already full of people with flickering candlelight. The burning Goblet of Fire had been moved to the professor's seat and placed in front of Dumbledore's chair.
Ron looked at his two brothers, Fred and George. Their beards were gone and they seemed to have calmly accepted the fact of defeat.
Perhaps because this was their second feast this school year, the Halloween dinner lasted a little longer than usual.
However, many young wizards did not like these carefully prepared foods as much as usual. They all stretched their necks to look around, with a vague look of impatience on their faces, and stood up from time to time to see if Dumbledore had finished eating.
Like them, Harry just wanted to finish eating quickly and hear who was chosen from the other two schools. He felt that there was basically no suspense about Hogwarts.
Although he would fantasize about becoming a warrior and finally winning the championship from time to time during class these days, he also knew in his heart that he was far behind compared to Karl.
Even if he can break through the age limit, there is a high probability that the Goblet of Fire will not choose him. After all, there is only one warrior spot in each school...
In his wild thoughts, those golden plates were finally cleaned up with a wave of Dumbledore's hand and returned to their golden appearance, but the noise in the hall continued unabated.
But as soon as Dumbledore stood up, all the noise immediately disappeared. Karkaroff and Maxim stood on both sides of him, looking as nervous and hopeful as the others.
The two referees from the Ministry of Magic also stood up from their chairs, and the expressions on their faces were in sharp contrast. Bagman smiled and winked at many students, but Crouch looked very cold, even annoyed.
