Chapter 1275 Professor McGonagall's defense(1/2)

Chapter 1275 Professor McGonagall's Defence

The next morning, news of Professor McGonagall's course being reviewed was spread on the breakfast table.

The students were curiously asking around for details, but no one knew more about it except the location and time.

Everyone speculated that the Commissioners of Feng Discipline Inspection might know more, but when Hannah repeated the third time she didn't know and began to clench her fists, the little wizards of good things finally believed that Hannah didn't know the details. The only thing people knew was that it was not just officials from the British Ministry of Magic who arrived at Hogwarts to participate in the review this time.

"So, our task is to stand outside the door? Prevent students from going in and making trouble?"

Hannah's eyes wandered back and forth between Hermione and Elena, as if she wanted to see something from their faces.

"When the professor and the officials were having a meeting inside, we stood at the door like stone guards, and waited until the review meeting was completely over?"

"Uh, actually divided into inside and outside courts-"

Elena shrugged and said carefully.

"You and Luna maintain the outfield, and you don't have to stand at the door. There will be chairs and sign-in desks at that time..."

"And Sister Elena and Sister Hermione sat comfortably inside and watched, right?"

Luna whispered a little resentful, she glanced at Elena and Hermione, "Will you replace the inside and outside fields in the middle?"

"Well, it should...well...of course..."

Under the gaze of Luna and Hanna, Elena compromised helplessly.

"If you can convince other students to come and take the class, I can ask Bill Weasley in the senior year."

"No problem, I can ask Ginny, Danilova and the others!"

Hannah's eyes lit up and she replied quickly.

The Witch Club has been established for so long, and now there is finally something to tell them to do!

So, by that night, the four little witches were waiting neatly in the transformation class classroom in advance.

Ginny and Bill were responsible for signing in and maintaining order in the outfield, while Danilova and Irina patrolled the corridor, fulfilling their duties as trainee disciplinary committee members.

A moment later, a mess of footsteps came from the other end of the corridor.

Professor McGonagall and dozens of adult wizards rushed in from the door of the transformed classroom.

Umbridge was at the end of the team, and she was pulling Ms. Bones, the director of the Magic Law Enforcement Division, and whispering something.

"So, let's start as soon as possible, everyone-"

When the last wizard walked into the classroom, Professor McGonagall waved and closed the teacher's door.

This is not an interrogation, it is just an academic review meeting to determine whether the "new transformation" complies with the magic teaching norms.

She did something similar recently in the lecture hall of the off-campus institute, so she didn't feel much nervous or uneasy.

"The birth of the new transfiguration theory is essentially to solve the exceptions in Gamp's transfiguration law..."

Professor McGonagall looked around the people in the classroom, pulled out his wand, and knocked on the blackboard.

As she explained, the magical blackboard writing unfolded one by one on the blackboard.

Except for a small number of Ministry of Magic officials, most of the wizards present are experts in the field of contemporary transformation.

Therefore, Professor McGonagall can skip many basic contents and start directly from the specific theoretical changes.

She spoke for about a quarter of an hour, and everyone was very attentive, and the room was silent.

She said that during years of teaching, she found that the stability and success rate of the deformation technique will be largely affected by the caster's brain model. After several months of teaching attempts, Professor McGonagall is now 100% sure that clarifying the physical parameters of the target object, such as the framework, weight, and hardness, will save a lot of magic consumption.

She also said that she had carefully studied the five exceptions of Gamp's law of transformation and tried to find similar laws. At the beginning, she believed that those exceptions should be independent and uninterference with each other. However, the appearance of Nicole Lemay and Apokalis subverted her previous cognition--the purpose of alchemy was to transform new matter from its essence, which was very similar to the state of transformation, but it was different. So she began to guess whether the transformation was another magical logic...

"Very good," she paused, and the editor-in-chief of "Today's Transformation" nodded thoughtfully, "So, Transformation and Alchemy are two kinds of magic."

"I have to remind you that if you derivate from this point of view, it will not be deformation. But if it is not deformation... then what is it?"

“Concept coverage—or information coverage.”

Professor McGonagall continued to say that her voice was a little hoarse because she kept talking.

However, the spirit in her eyes became brighter and brighter, as if someone had lit two magic torches in her eyes.

She began to explain the relevant theories about the composition of the world and information splitting, and asked the question that an object looks like an apple and smells like an apple...

But then, Professor McGonagall's voice became hesitant.

The more you study the deformation technique, the more likely you will encounter problems. The hardest thing to overcome is the chemical properties and chemical reactions.

In fact, she has just been exposed to these contents in the past few months, and it is difficult to explain them thoroughly in such a short time.

The classical deformation theory ends at the level of object deformation. No one would have paid attention to the subtle and distant deformation replacement of chemical fields before:

Wizards do not have much concept of chemical reactions, even alchemy is based on a long summary of experience.

And with the arrival of those Muggle scholars, an unexplored road quietly unfolded in front of McGonagall.

"The magic of a certain science" is how Elena called her before.

Human eyes, and even the magic of wizards, cannot truly see those subtle electrons and atoms that are indescribable.

Professor McGonagall seriously thought about how she should explain if it was involved in the field of deformation control in the chemical reaction... How should she prove to others that there are subtle things in this world that are countless times smaller than dust. After they come into contact and collision, they will produce wonderful changes, which in turn affects the stability of the deformation technique.

She subconsciously turned her gaze to "Professor Apokalis" sitting in the front row, involving the field of alchemy, and the other party should know more than she did.

Professor Apokalis smiled slightly, as if he had guessed her troubles and suddenly spoke.

"The contents further away are your own research topics, right?"

Grindelwald grinned and said, "I think your explanation is almost the same as here. After all, we are just discussing the scope of students' learning today."

"Alchemy deformation - this is a difficult problem that has lasted for more than ten centuries. I have just found a little bit of fur, so don't worry."

Professor McGonagall breathed a sigh of relief, and let out a gratitude smile.

Although Dumbledore is missing for the time being, Professor Apokalis will share the pressure for her like Dumbledore at critical moments.

"What, what...alchemy transformation? I don't understand it-"

At this moment, a somewhat bald middle-aged witch said in a confused voice, "You have just taken the time to discuss it. Transformation and alchemy are two... "

"Transformation, alchemy, alchemy deformation, transformed alchemy... These are actually four disciplines."

Professor McGonagall said quickly, tapping the wand in his hand gently on the blackboard.

"The first two are basic magic disciplines, and the latter are compound disciplines, or some ideas that have not been officially established."

"Alchemy deformation is a branch that studies the properties and behaviors of deformation systems based on alchemy principles and techniques, discovers and establishes special laws of deformation."

"In the same way, deformation alchemy is the opposite. With the development of magic theory, I think the mutual penetration between disciplines will become more common."

What Professor McGonagall did not finish is that this concept actually comes from the tips of those Muggle scholars - in the non-magic world, the two seemingly distinct disciplines of chemistry and physics will not only meet and share in some basic fields, but will also be entangled again as two spiral lines. Transformation and alchemy are the "physics" and "chemistry" of the magic world. Except for the different names and certain contents, their essential uses are actually the same.

The wizard...understands, means to interpret the truth of the world, that's all, this is Professor McGonagall's greatest gain these days.

Amelia Bones looked at the words that appeared on the blackboard and suddenly remembered some proposals from the department some time ago, and nodded slightly thoughtfully.

"I can roughly understand," she said softly, "in fact, the future of the magical world may be like this, with the integration and collaboration of all fields."

She turned around and looked at the wizards around her. A trace of light flashed on the monolithic mirror and continued to explain.

"The Ministry of Magic is preparing to promote industrialized magical supplies, standardized magical animal industry, and produce basic potions through assembly lines..."

"But what I don't understand is that I heard you are promoting some Muggle teaching, so how do you connect this with what you just said?"

"Muggles...teaching content?" Mr. Fields, editor-in-chief of "Today's Transformation", frowned.

"Yes, I have evidence here that Ms. Minerva McGonagall is taking this opportunity to teach students about Muggle knowledge in a deformation class."

Umbridge, who was sitting in the middle row, suddenly stood up, took out a thick writing board from his handbag, and shook it proudly.

“In the important class where students should have learned magic, she treats the poor little guys like she teaches Muggles.”

"You guys listen to the scientific transfiguration - tsk, tsksk, this doesn't work in Hogwarts, right?"

"Science, not technology, Ms. Umbridge."

Professor McGonagall replied calmly, glanced at her with some pity.

"Science is a way of thinking that systematically analyzes the world, finds rules, and works."

"As for what I teach students, yes...a considerable part of it comes from knowledge from the non-magical world."

"But is there a possibility that we actually live in the same world as Muggles? The nature, weight, basic physical laws of objects..."

"If you listened to me carefully about the new transformation technique and understood it, you will know that these happen to be what we lack."

Professor McGonagall obviously reserved a lot of answers in advance. Before Umbridge finished her two questions, she answered quickly like a cannon.

Of course, Umbridge's side is not completely unprepared.

"Oh, then skip this, is the source of Muggle knowledge you use in class reliable?"

Umbridge asked tit-for-title, his pale toad-like fat face staring at Professor McGonagall's direction.

As the "former" senior deputy minister of the Ministry of Magic, Umbridge is too clear about various rules and regulations.

"How do you confirm that these contents are suitable for wizard learning, rather than the stupid and one-sided absurd guesses about the world?"
To be continued...
