Chapter 79: Teach me Mahayana Buddhism(2/2)
Wutian, who usually has a plain smile and a generous bearing, looked at his master excitedly at this moment, and thanked him gratefully: "Wutian thanks you, master."
"Wutian, since you have chosen your own path, you are even more senior brother!"
When he said this, Hongyun chuckled softly. Suddenly, he turned his palms inward and a mini-hill flashing with golden light of merit appeared. He looked at Wutian, Ksitigarbha, and Guanshiyin.
"Wutian, Ksitigarbha, and Avalokitesvara."
"The disciple is here."
"Since the three of you have chosen Buddhism, you should keep your true intentions in mind, and this opportunity will be given to you three."
I saw this treasure of merit and virtue slowly floating in Wutian's hand. Under the excited expressions of the three people, Hongyun laughed and said: "This is the treasure of my sanctification, and it is also the 'spiritual mountain' that is the root of Mahayana Buddhism.
The three of you holding this treasure should teach me the teachings of Mahayana Buddhism."
At this moment, the three of them were extremely excited, and the other disciples were even more wide-eyed, filled with envy. This was because their master had directly entrusted the important task of developing the sect to Wutian, Ksitigarbha and Guanyin.
In response to everyone's excitement, Hongyun smiled and said nothing. Over the course of time, almost all of Chanjiao and Jiejiao were saints who personally taught their disciples and then preached. What was the result? The Jiejiao was a mixed bag of dragons and snakes, each doing its own thing. Chanjiao had an arrogant character, and both
Each has its own character flaws.
If you look at Lao Tzu from the Human Religion, he hardly cares about it. It all depends on Master Xuandu and some registered disciples who have gone through the world of practice on their own and preached at the same time. The Human Religion seems to have a low reputation, but in fact it has already taken root in the hearts of the East.
There are also the two sages of the West. Buddhism originally came into being after the conferment of gods, but no matter what, after the two of them accepted disciples, the sect was handed over to their disciples to spread. The two of them were only responsible for recruiting people and teaching, unless there was a big event.
Generally don't care at all.
Great teaching! It is the foundation of sainthood. To put it bluntly, it is to fulfill the promise to the way of heaven and educate the world. What do you do with the disciples you accept? You see, I have the highest cultivation level, let alone mentioning it. I can’t follow him and come from behind, almost firmly sitting on my throne.
Has it fallen yet?
A saint only needs to concentrate on enlightenment and cultivation. A great sect is only an auxiliary tool for a saint's cultivation, but it is simply a cheating tool for his disciples. Therefore, if you let the disciples of the sect or even the disciples manage it, they will do whatever it takes.
The most typical example is the Tathagata of Many Treasures in later generations. He did not worship the two sages of the West as his teachers, but he generously let the Western sages act as his agents. As a result, he did his best and carried it forward.
