Chapter Thirteen: Orianna's Wish

Seeing that something was wrong, Oriana quickly covered Geno's mouth.

But it was still a little late, and a noise came from Colin's bedroom.

"Why are you shouting so loud?"

"It hurts really~"

"Oh no! My father was woken up!"

"Why don't you hide?"

Colin's door was opened, and with the moonlight splashing out of the bedroom, he saw Geno's quilt in the hall bulging and shaking from time to time.

Colin never pulled the curtains when he slept. In normal times, his sleep continued until the first ray of sunlight shone on his face.

"Jeno? Why are you sleeping in the quilt? Don't you feel bored?"

A dull response from the bed.

"Oh, I'm sorry sir, I didn't mean to wake you up. I just saw rats appearing on the workbench, which reminded me of some bad memories. In Zuan, a mouse as big as a dog appeared, which would bite off the child's ears in his sleep. I wrapped myself in a quilt like this not because I was afraid, I just wanted to prevent it from getting into my quilt! Well, yes, that's right!"

"Rat?" Colin imagined Zuan's environment and felt that it was normal to occasionally appear a few mutant mice. Poor Zuan's people lived in dire straits, and rats began to eat people.

He looked at the workbench. There were obvious signs of being touched by the prosthetic limbs and drawings. The location changed. It might have been touched by mice. The workplace with miscellaneous objects was indeed hidden.

"Then I'll clean up the workroom now."

Colin felt it was necessary to eliminate these mice. If his drawings were made of sheepskin instead of wax paper, they might have been bitten by now.

"No need sir, wait tomorrow. Oriana is still sleeping. The sound of moving things will wake her up. Just let me keep this going!"

Geno stretched out a hand from the nest and made a "no problem" gesture.

"Since you said that, then tomorrow."

Colin didn't doubt that he was there, so he yawned and went back to his room to continue sleeping.

After a while, Oriana lifted the quilt, revealing her head buried in Geno's chest, breathing in fresh air in big mouthfuls. The manly aura accumulated in the quilt made her a little dazzled. Both of them sweated a lot because of nervousness.

She sat up, the quilt was pulled apart, revealing the bodies of the two of them holding each other. Oriana's pajamas had slid under her shoulders, revealing her delicate collarbone, and the little freckles on her face could not weaken her charm.

"Ahem, why should I hide in bed with you? Then I heard you lie and lie to my father! It's really a sin. I had nothing, but now I have everything!"

Oriana roared in a low voice, baring her teeth and glaring like a furious cat.

"How did I know you? I didn't let you hide with me, and then you got into my bed and I had to lie."

"You you you you you you you!!! I have never seen someone with a thicker face than you!"

Geno's innocent appearance made her even more crazy, so she covered the other person's mouth with her left hand and made a gesture with her right hand to hit her.

But Oriana soon realized that Geno's eyes were falling on her exposed chest. There was only a faint moonlight in the hall, but it was enough to see the general outline of things. She hurriedly buttoned up the pajama buttons that she had opened when they were open, and then covered the quilt and beat Geno's head with a pounding, a hammering method, and stopped torture until she felt relieved.

Geno did not resist, and it didn't hurt much when he was hit by a radio gymnastics through the quilt. Instead, he gave him a lot of benefits.

"Continue with the topic just now."

Geno got up and turned on the desk lamp, took off the prosthetic limb, and handed it to Oriana.

Oriana curled her lips, took the prosthesis, pressed her index finger on a hidden button somewhere on the forearm, and pinched the middle finger of the prosthesis with her right hand, and twisted it with skill, then removed it intact.

"So amazing!" Geno exclaimed, he didn't understand at all.

He took the prosthesis from Oriana, and through the small hole that appeared in the middle finger, he found that the inside of his arm was hollow, and many precision gears and bearings were fixed in it. The key to controlling the entire prosthesis was actually an inconspicuous clockwork transmission device at the top of the shoulder.

Perhaps for Geno before, this was a technological wonder, or a magic, but under the analysis of the primary Hex technology, he actually understood this nonsense black technology and converted it into experience.

After using various postures to observe and confirm that the experience value could no longer be increased, Geno picked up his middle finger and prosthetic, and put it back with a click.

When Oriana next to her saw this scene, she felt completely sleepy: "You're only a few minutes? Is it done?"

Orianna didn't believe that within a few minutes, Geno could understand what she hadn't learned in a few years.

"I've put it back, what do you think?"

"I'll see if I'm just pretending."

Oriana twisted the middle finger of the prosthetic limb a few times without believing in it, but the middle finger was free and unhindered, so she reluctantly admitted this fact.

"I've been hit hard... I might have insomnia tonight." Oriana's blue eyes dimmed.

Outside the window, dark clouds blocked the moonlight.

The two things that can't compare to a Zuan and an outsider combined have a big blow to her. The Picheng people are always used to putting themselves in a superior position and looking down on anyone. Even if they are gentle and kind as Auriana, they will have a little bit of such arrogant traits.

"If you can't sleep, give me the bed, don't waste it."

Geno put the prosthetic limb back on the wooden frame, sorted out the drawings, and everything returned to its original state.

"I won't give it to you if I can't sleep!" Oriana said angrily.

"Yoyo, the ugly face of the rich."

"You won't comfort people at all?"

"In Zuan, people suffer too many troubles, so they all learned to self-relieve. For example, a scavenger I know, the happiest thing about him is to pull out coins from the garbage pile. Every time he picks up a coin, he will make a positive wish for it, and then store the coins in a piggy bank." Geno's voice was like friction between sand and gravel: "Then he had a can of dreams and happiness."

"Ha...isn't the money just used to spend it?"

"It doesn't matter, what's important is that the scavenger picked up the coin, you picked me up."

"Thank you for bringing me out of Zuan. Without you, I might still be rotting somewhere in the gutter. Oriana, I will do my best to satisfy your wish."

If it weren't for Oriana, Geno wouldn't have had this talent.

The dark clouds open, the moonlight shines, and the boy's eyes are filled with sincerity.

Orianna raised her eyelids and saw Geno staring at her intently, which made her heartbeat involuntarily accelerate a little.

Why does this sound like a confession? Oriana's eyes flashed. For a moment, she wanted Geno to keep owing this favor.

"Can I wish for peace in the world?" she raised her lips and teased naughtyly.

"It's so foul. News of world peace may have to wait for my great-great-great-grandson to burn it to me, provided that I can find my wife to pass on the family line."

"Puff, that's still early. If that's the case, let Zuan get better quickly... May the gears rotate forever."

It’s not that Oriana doesn’t believe in Geno, but she simply doesn’t want to use this wish on herself. She is already very happy than others. She is very satisfied with her current life situation and does not need to change anything.

"Okay." Geno responded happily.
