Chapter 19 Stanwick's Proposal

A waste gas factory deep in Zuan, in Victor's temporary laboratory.

Victor's third hand emitted a very thin light, and welded the metal into his left arm steadily and accurately. The burning smell of human flesh no longer made him feel uncomfortable. He could also calmly watch his left wrist skin blooming, and the blood vessels and tendons merged with the mechanical reinforcement body. He did not fear or retreat, but instead felt a sense of accomplishment because he saw the seamless combination between synthetic materials and biological materials.

The high-intensity surgery that had not been sleepy for two consecutive days made the flexor muscles and Achilles tendon on his left hand completely strained and necrotic. After dealing with all the patients, he immediately removed the useless flesh and blood and replaced it with a reinforcement body without any reluctance or hesitation.

Keep your left hand still, use a bone-engraving knife to penetrate deep into the arm to adjust a bolt, so that the reinforcement body is firmly fixed to the wrist. Victor continues to weld the next bolt to the Achilles tendon under the skin. After completion, he put several free skins onto the surface of the arm. Finally, he illuminates the seams with laser to burn the flesh and close the incision.

He moved his wrist and showed signs of cracking in the wound, but he ignored it.

"Don't it hurt?" asked a tall, elegant and ethereal woman.

This "person" is Gina who has never seen the whole picture of Gina. Gina has long pointed ears, her feet float lightly above the ground, her hair flutters in the wind in the still air, and her blue eyes are refreshing.

Since reaching a partnership, Garna has been staying in this laboratory, controlling the flow of air and constantly replenishing fresh air, providing patients here with a safe and non-toxic cultivation environment, and at the same time accumulating divine power, brewing a storm sweeping Zuan. Victor had been in Zuan Technology Magic Academy for a while, so he was not unfamiliar with magic. Garna could not scare him if she only used simple tricks.

"If a person cuts off his prediction and fear of pain, the pain will be easily accepted." Victor's tone was like stating a cold fact, without a trace of respect. In his eyes, Gana was just an unchanging life body.

"Oh." Gana nodded in a vague way. Although she had been born for hundreds of years, she had never had a physical body and had only a vague understanding of pain.

Dozens of poisoned coma lie on the beds on the four walls of the laboratory. Both men, women, young and old were all in a deep coma. The blood vessels on their bodies were inserted with many hoses, filled with dark red blood.

Victor filtered the toxins in their blood, but the effect was very little, because most of the toxins had penetrated into the internal organs and even the brain, but he did not give up. These patients were barely snatched by his toxin dialysis device just developed. He must find powerful energy during this period to improve the working efficiency of the toxin dialysis device, otherwise these patients would not survive.

Gana tried to use her divine power as energy to drive toxin dialysis devices, but it had no effect. The power of faith cannot act on technology. After all, it does not exist to generate electricity through love.

Seeing these patients who are worse than death, Gana is also very distressed, but as long as she endures for a while, everything will be different until her strength is enough to release the large monsoon.

"Someone is coming." Gana noticed the abnormal flow of the air flow, so she reminded Victor that people had been sneaking around the laboratory for the past two days, but Victor was immersed in the operation, and all of these people were unable to enter. Whenever someone used extraordinary means, a gust of demonic wind would appear around him out of thin air, rolling up gravel and smashing his respirator into cracks to show a warning.

Well, Gana worked as a bodyguard for Victor for two days.

After hearing the prompt, Victor adjusted the silver dial of the iris lens. The device adjusted the light path through a set of reflective lenses, allowing him to see the scene on the street outside the laboratory window. Then a trace of doubt flashed through his deep pupils under his steel mask.

He saw an acquaintance, a person he hadn't seen for a long time.

...

Jace came to Zuan with the breathing device he developed.

Except for the several college gatherings that all members of the staff were forced to attend when they were young, Jace rarely came to Zuan. Jace is the native Mrs. Piltwo, and the idea he was instilled since childhood was the basic rule of the city's progress and development: invention, discovery, try to stay away from Zuan.

So he came to Zuan at a handful of times.

This time he came to Zuan alone, because few people could tolerate his arrogant and arrogant personality. He had no friends. Maybe he had, but now he didn't have one.

Most things are easy to learn and master for Jace, so he cannot understand why the simple concepts in his eyes make his peers difficult. Therefore, almost everyone who has worked with Jace will feel that he is arrogant and arrogant, and never want to slow down and let others chase him.

As time went by, Jace became increasingly impatience, and at the same time, his words and deeds gradually drifted away from politeness and elegance.

Loneliness is a common problem of genius, he thought.

More than ten years have passed. Today, when he saw Zuan, his stereotype of Zuan still remained unchanged after comparing it. It was still dirty, full of pollution, and many disasters. He didn't understand why Zuan people liked to use dangerous alchemy technology so much. It was just a clumsy imitation of Hex Technology, which made it green and ugly everywhere. If they could use their inventions, Zuan would not have been like this.

While thinking, he walked, and accidentally stepped on a puddle. The green and unknown liquid in the puddle dyed his leather shoes green like paint, and he couldn't even get rid of them. He began to regret coming here.

Why did he come to Zuan? He reflected.

Professor Stanwick found him this morning and appeared under the skylight of his lab with the news of the storm polymerizer.

He asked Jace to go to Zuan, meet Victor, and see if he could ask about the Storm Polymer.

As soon as Jace read the newspaper, he immediately asserted that the Storm Polymer was impossible because he could not create such a weather-level weapon himself. He knew that Victor's level was as good as him. If he could not create it himself, no one could create it.

In response, Stanwick showed his very disgusting smile to Jace and suggested: If you go this trip, I will give you that Shurima crystal no matter whether it is successful or not.

"Victor..." Jace fell into deep thought.

A few months ago, Jace heard that Gilpara's expedition discovered a primitive blue crystal in the Shurima Desert. Jace volunteered to use it for experiments (and pointed out that other scholars in the group were not smart enough to obtain any useful results), but because he was rude, he asked the Gilpara group to hand over the crystal to those more polite scholars, including the shy Stanwick, as a punishment for him.

Unfortunately, several months passed, and scholars unanimously concluded that this crystal was worthless, just a large stone that was sucked away from energy. Stanwick was also unable to figure out anything, so he handed the crystal as a bargaining chip to Jace.

The group believed that no matter how talented Jace was, it was impossible to get any results from it. Although they were dissatisfied with Stanwick's behavior, they still acquiesced.

In Stanwick's idea, if Jace could get even a little information about the Storm Aggregator, his investment would be successful. This is not the first time he has done this. He had asked Jace to "cooperate" with her more than ten years ago.

That time, he successfully won the lawsuit and became Britz's nominal "father".
