Chapter 235 On-site Questions and Answers of the Medicine Master's Method One

Chapter 235 Live Q&A on the Medicine Master’s Dharma (Part 1 of 2)

Unexpectedly, Yan Zixiu's voice came over immediately: "A lady asked about the origin of the Medicine Master Sutra. As far as I know, it is like this."

The people around the questioner were very surprised. There was no microphone or loudspeaker here. How could Dr. Yan be able to hear and transmit the sound as if he were sitting next to him?

Yan Zixiu continued: "More than three thousand years ago, in ancient India, Sakyamuni Buddha appeared in the world. One day, the World Honored One led his disciples to Guangyan City and stood under a huge music tree.

Stop and rest, surrounded by immeasurable

At this time, the great wisdom Manjushri Bodhisattva observed that all sentient beings have ripened opportunities to hear the Dharma. He stood up from his seat and respectfully asked the World Honored One to speak about the names of Buddhas, great wishes and great wishes similar to those of Amitabha in the West.

Extraordinary merit.

"The World-Honored One praised the great compassion of Manjushri Bodhisattva, and promised to teach the original vows and merits of the Medicine Master Lai Lai Light Tathagata in the Oriental Pure Lazuli World, as well as how to practice the Medicine Master Dharma. Later generations collected the contents of this Dharma conference and passed it down to this day. Now we know

"The Medicine Sutra". The full name of this sutra is "The Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata's Original Vows and Merits Sutra"."

Mr. Huang stood up and asked: "Teacher Yan, can you tell us the name of this sutra?"

Yan Zixiu praised: "Brother Huang hit the point when he asked. The name of a sutra is the essence of a sutra. A person with a sharp mind can understand the whole sutra when he sees the name of a sutra.

Principle. Even people with dull faculties can gradually understand the wonderful meaning of the sutra's title by reading the entire sutra regularly. The sutra's title is divided into four parts.

"The first part is Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata. This is the name of the Buddha in the Oriental Lazuli World. Medicine Master represents compassion, and Lazuli Light represents wisdom; Tathagata, represents the true nature of the heart; Lai, represents coming by the truthful way. Every Buddha is

By practicing compassion and wisdom, one can perfect one's self-nature, and after realizing one's self-nature, one will naturally reveal compassion and wisdom to benefit all sentient beings.

"The second part is the original wish, which is the fundamental wish. All things are accomplished from the original wish, and the essence of the world is the power of wishes. The same is true for practice. Willing is the forerunner, and no wish will be fulfilled. The place where the wish is is the place of the law. The root

The Sutra mainly talks about the twelve subtle vows made by Medicine Master Buddha when he was practicing in the Cause Ground. In fact, Medicine Buddha made countless great vows.

"The third part is merit. In layman's terms, it means what practical effects it has. If it improves everyone's body and mind and is useless to everyone's life and practice, then what is the point of learning it?

People who are confused will feel grateful when they meet a guide. The same is true for some listeners, who suddenly feel grateful to Dr. Yan.

"Karma is blind willpower. Can you give me an example?" Professor Wu asked.

"Another example is some people who were looked down upon by others because of their poverty since childhood. They secretly determined to live a good life to show those people that they had seen the wrong person. They have been working hard since then. Although they have succeeded in getting ahead through hard work, they have proved successful.

; But this person still kept trying, and finally tired himself out like a dog. He was tired, did not dare to rest, and did not understand his strange pattern. This person also forgot the ambition he had set back then. Ambition is willingness.

.”

Mr. Huang was very happy after hearing this, clasped his hands in thanks and sat down.

"That's right! When people fall into the ego, everything is up to fate and nothing is up to others. When people return to the starting point of community, everything is up to me, free and at ease. From the passive kingdom of necessity, to the active kingdom of freedom

, is the benefit of enlightening and cultivating the Tao."

"Karma is blind wish power." Yan Zixiu smiled slightly, "As long as wisdom is opened, karma can be turned into wish power."

Yan Zixiu seemed to know what everyone was thinking, and added: "Yes, just the name of a sutra can actually be used for practice. The ancients said that knowing the Dharma because of its name, and practicing according to the Dharma, you will get the fruit of liberation. That is from

Understand the wisdom of the name, guide your practice with wisdom, and achieve wonderful results through practice."

"The fourth part, Sutra. The Sanskrit Sutra is translated as Sutra. The principle of the upper agreement is the truth, and the lower agreement is the root of all living beings. The other meaning is to penetrate, like a silk thread running through the flowers into a flower garland, the Sutra

, it means that the chapters and sentences are integrated into a whole. Another meaning is that the past and present remain unchanged. The reality remains unchanged, the original wish remains unchanged, and it is trustworthy and reliable."

Professor Wu became a little clearer and asked: "In that case, doesn't it mean that our karma turns into aspiration with a change of mind?"

When many people heard this, they felt so tired because it turned out that they were proving it to just a few people. What a shame. Now after listening to Dr. Yan’s few words, I can clearly see the pattern that has driven me for many years. This lecture is worth every penny.

.

Professor Wu suddenly understood: "Teacher Yan's lecture was so kind and thorough. It turns out that we are not far away from the realm of the Buddhas. Thank you, thank you, Teacher Yan." She bowed and sat down happily.

Many people suddenly realized that the name of a sutra has such a rich and profound meaning.

"Yes. There are two kinds of vow power. One is conscious and pure vow power, full of wisdom; the other is blind vow power. Most people only know that Buddhas have vow power, but they don't know that sentient beings also have vow power. The land of Saha is all sentient beings.

It is made up of intertwined vows. Since the vows of sentient beings are impermanent, the Saha land is also impermanent."

Professor Wu Wan stood up: "Teacher Yan just said that the essence of the world is the power of wishes. I would like to ask, can the pure land of the Buddhas be said to be formed by the power of wishes, and is the land of Jambudvipa in the Saha world also formed by the power of wishes?" It seems that

She has done some research on classics.

Professor Wu was a little confused: "Don't they all say that all living beings only have karma?"

"I'll give you two examples. For example, some people like to please their parents. If they don't get that benefit and are hurt, they will stay away from their parents for a while. But after the injury has recovered a little, they will go back to please their parents. It's uncomfortable to please them, and it's not pleasing to them.

I feel uneasy and keep tossing and turning over and over again. This is because the person concerned is driven by a desire for recognition in his heart. Because the manifestation of karma is involuntary, this kind of behavior looks like karma on the surface, but its essence is still hidden in the soul.

Deep in the depths, the unseen power of will.”

The second example touched many people. You must know that this is Hong Kong Island, and almost everyone works hard to be a master.

President Ding, who was originally quite proud, now admires Dr. Yan even more.

He knows that live Q&A is different from a prepared lecture. Live Q&A is the best test of the speaker’s true ability. Because all kinds of sharp and difficult questions may be raised temporarily, and it is impossible for the host to check them on the spot.

informational.

He stood up and asked for advice: "Teacher Yan, once karma is transformed, it becomes the power of wish. Can you give me another example?"

"Yes. Take the example of flattering just mentioned. The reason for flattery is due to inner lack, and the lack is due to positioning the ego as oneself. If one develops wisdom and knows that the community is oneself, then one will be rich inside. When one is rich, there is no need to please, and there is also

You can be kind to others naturally, calmly, and appropriately. Isn’t this the transformation of karma into the power of will?”
