Chapter 185: Verbal Warfare
Roger glanced at the soldiers on the city wall.
He saw most of the people showing an indignation, but some seemed a little frightened.
Roger knew that what Lopez said was indeed from the Bible, which were recorded in the Old Testament Exodus and Genesis.
He thought that my early education reading materials in this life were the Bible. Whether it is the New Testament or the Old Testament, I read them thoroughly, and even the priests could not defeat me.
He thought that I have always used the Bible to fool others, but I didn’t expect that someone would want to use the Bible to suppress me today.
Roger showed a sarcastic look on his face. He thought, I will teach you a lesson today so that you can know that books are not read like this.
He laughed three times, causing everyone to look at him.
Unfortunately, there are no smart people around, and no one says, "Why is the lord laughing?"
Roger can only write, direct and act.
He said: "Lopez, it turns out that your bottom has been cut."
Lopez looked puzzled, and he subconsciously asked, "What are you talking nonsense?"
Roger made a few moves and signaled: "I said, have you cut the bottom?"
When Lopez understood, he shouted angrily: "Bastard, I am not a Jew, I am a Christian, why do you want to do a pagan way?"
Roger laughed and said, "Haha": "Have you ever read Genesis? Do you know that it clearly records it.
"The Lord said, 'All your men shall be circumcised. This is the covenant that I made with you and your descendants, and that you shall keep. Then my covenant shall be made in your flesh forever.'
“Do you know why the Old Testament is called the covenant, because of this covenant.
“You keep saying that you will obey the will of the Lord, but you will not obey the covenant of the Lord.
“You also describe what the Lord did as the act of a pagan.
"Haha, it's not your fault that you read less, but it's your fault that you're not right when you talk nonsense and embarrassing."
Lopez's face was flushed, and he said in anger:
"You also said that it was the Old Testament. I am a Christian. I believe in Jesus. Jesus performed the new covenant. There is no circumcision in the New Testament. Christians do not need circumcision!"
Roger immediately continued: "You have just condemned us with the Old Testament, but you are not conservative of the Old Testament.
“Now you say you are keeping the New Testament. I’ll ask you, have you read the New Testament?
“I read it in the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament:
"The Lord said, 'You heard the words of the ancients, saying, 'Do not kill,' and said, 'Whoever kills will be judged.' But I tell you: Anyone who gets angry with his brother will be judged; anyone who calls his brother a Laga (farmer), will be judged by the guild; anyone who calls his brother a demon (fool), will be fire of hell."
"Lopez, since you say you are keeping the New Testament, why did you lead people to kill brothers who are also Christians and rob their brothers of land and wealth?
“What you do is thousands of times more sinful than your brother who insults yours.
"Are you planning to take your people to the bottomless abyss with you and endure the endless burning of hellfire?
"I think you should not use the name of the Saint Jacob, but Lucifer.
"Isn't what you do now just imitating Lucifer and bring the angels to hell?"
"I'm not, I..."
"I was wrong? Yes, you are not Lucifer, you are Mamen.
"Look at your greedy face, you and the Mamen who induces people to kill each other for wealth, commands the angels who invade hell to discover treasures and build the palace of "Pandimaninam" for Satan, are exactly the same!"
"You're talking nonsense! You're talking nonsense! You..."
"You are a Christian, but you are neither conservative of the Old Testament nor the New Testament. Where did you believe in? Is it Satan or a pig?"
"Ah! Puff~"
Lopez squirted a mouthful of blood to the sky.
He shouted in anger: "I want to kill you all, kill them all!"
Roger glanced at the corner of his eyes that all the soldiers on the city wall showed a look of unity against the enemy. He silently praised his performance.
"I refuse!"
Roger was stunned. What's going on? Who is talking?
He saw Lopez yelling in anger at the bottom of the city: "Who? Who dares not obey my command?"
"I refuse an unjust battle!"
Roger saw clearly and was talking about a white-robed Santiago Knight.
"Zheng", Lopez drew his sword and pointed it at the white-robed knight.
"You! You dare to disobey my orders! Don't forget that I am your leader, you have made a vow!"
"I have made a vow, but I have vowed allegiance to the Knights of Santiago in the name of St. James, not to you personally.
"Lopez, if you insist on doing this unjust war, I propose to remove your position as the leader of the Knights of Santiago."
"Ph, who do you think you are?"
"I agree!" "Additional!" "Additional!"...
Roger looked at the 13 San Diego Knights below and agreed one by one.
They unanimously agreed to remove Don Basco Lopez on the grounds that "the leader is incompetent and harmful to the Knights." (Note)
Then these thirteen Santiago knights, regardless of the thunderous opposition of the furious Lopez, held the red sword-shaped cross emblem flag on a white background and announced loudly:
"The Knights of Santiago exit this unjust war."
Roger was overjoyed. He thought, ha, will you win? The war is over? Ahha, this is too simple!
Many soldiers followed the thirteen San Diego knights to leave the battlefield.
But more people stayed there.
Roger curled his lips. He thought, he thought he could stop fighting, but he was so happy that he still wanted to fight.
He thought that after all, he was not Mao, and he had no silly words that could be matched with a million troops.
He is not surnamed Zhuge, and he does not have the skills to directly call his opponent.
He looked around the battlefield and saw that among the remaining dismounted knights, there was a yellow castle emblem on his shield. It was obvious that these people had once vassalized the Castile royal family.
Roger whispered: "Can't rape!"
He seemed to have forgotten that he was not a Castile.
What is his position as a Sicilian judging who is loyal and who is traitor among the Castiles?
Lopez had returned to his army and he shouted loudly in front of the army:
"After the city is broken, we will rob you for three days!"
The remaining robbers cheered in unison, and the morale that had been depressed because of the departure of their partners was instantly full.
Roger won't miss this opportunity, he shouted:
"Brothers! Defend your country and live and perish with the city! Justice will win!"
"Justice will win!" "Justice will win!"...
Roger's soldiers shouted repeatedly, and his morale was also full.
