Chapter 63: Pursue the Dungeon Lord (1)

Joel strolled between the tunnels, a faint smoke lingering under his feet, and he swayed as if he would fall down at any time.

The walls were cold gray-blue, as if they were emitting a faint light, that is, dim, but at the same time, the gap between each brick was clearly visible. Walking through the open doors, it was also dark inside, and the lantern was flashing with a cold blue light. Some were lying on the bed and some were staggering forward with crutches.

Joel looked at them coldly, then continued to move forward, passing by doors after door, and everyone in the room noticed him. They were all wearing thick white shirts covering their bodies, revealing their arms and legs. They were either confused or uneasy.

They all looked at Joel. Joel continued to walk forward with a swaying swaying, his head was like a ball of paste, his legs were as heavy as lead. The smoke under his feet became thicker again, and he turned his head slightly, and a little girl was looking at him with a door frame, dragging a simple cloth doll in her hand that could barely see the human figure. Her eyes were big, just like Hemi.

Hermi Joel's mind became clearer. He turned around and all the people inside the doors he had passed came out. Pale mist followed at their feet as they walked out of the cell-like room.

Everyone was watching Joel.

"Sir." Joel heard the little girl ask timidly at her, "How long will it take for my illness to heal?"

Joel noticed that the little girl's words attracted more attention. In the room behind her, a tired woman looked at Joel uneasy.

"It's coming soon, child." Joel reached out to stroke the child's soft hair. Joel noticed something strange the next second, and he had no intention of moving at all, so he stretched out his hand, and his voice was...

This is not my voice, but an older, older voice. Joel has heard this voice somewhere.

"Can I go back to the village with my mother when I get sick?" The little girl raised her head in surprise.

"Of course, kid, of course."

After saying this, Joel felt a little nauseous, because he knew that it was lying. They would all die. Joel looked around the people around him, and smiled on their faces, as if they had drunk honey. Finally, his eyes were frozen on the lantern burning with blue flames held by a man. Only Joel knew that they would all die, or...

Life is worse than death.

...

"Joel Joel?! Wake up!!"

A familiar voice pulled Joel back from the dark dream.

The warm fire broke away the layers of fog. Joel opened his eyes and stared at the flames. Then when the halo spread, Joel saw the person squatting beside him with a lantern. He did not see his face, but a metal helmet reflecting the fire.

"Ah... Al?" Joel asked. He felt smoke in his lungs, and his mouth was filled with the bitter taste of ashes when he spoke.

"He's awake?" Joel heard another voice. He looked to the other side. Another ball of flame approached. The ball was brighter and hotter. It was a torch. Joel could barely follow the flame to see the man's face clearly.

"This is Robin." Alpine introduced. He put down the lantern and took out a small exquisite bottle from under the cloak. It was a sticky green liquid with a faint light swaying gently. "Robin feeds this to Joel, it's not convenient for me to have one hand."

"What is this?" Robin reached out and took the bottle, and then Joel heard him scream, "Magic wound medicine? It's not a hundred things to do..."

"Stop talking, move quickly!" Alps said as he lifted the lantern and stood up. "Then use a bandage to help him deal with the wound on his leg. I will investigate the surrounding situation so that monsters will not attack."

"Yes, yes." Robin put the torch aside, then helped Joel up, bit open the bottle cap of the magical wound with his mouth, and muttered, "Swallow this, you can't guarantee the smell."

Joel didn't say anything, but swallowed the faint light that was poured into his mouth. The smell was like a crushed slug soaked in the bitter medicine. Joel thought to himself and his brows furrowed. However, the blood strips in the upper left corner of his vision did begin to recover at a slow speed visible to the naked eye.

"Lying down first after drinking, I'll help you deal with the injury on your legs... Wow! What is this? Is it a burn? Did the tar pot slip on your feet?"

Joel looked at the man speechlessly, with a sloppy and messy beard. "Isn't this bleeding?" The man looked at Joel in confusion as he checked his injuries.

Joel took out the burn medicine that Simoken made for himself from his "backpack" and handed it to him: "Use this, bandage it casually."

Robin took the ointment handed over by Joel and raised his eyebrows: "Burt medicine? Does this work?"

Joel ignored Robin, who was bearded, and looked at the Alps standing at the intersection next to him and asked hoarsely: "How did you find me?"

The Alps did not look back: "We followed the boss's voice, because it kept releasing the magic. We thought that it should be fighting someone, thinking that it would meet Anthony and the others, but we didn't expect to see you who was fainted here."

"You were attacked by the boss?" Robin looked at Joel in confusion, then picked out the ointment with a dagger and applied it to the wound on Joel's leg.

"That's right." Joel nodded, and then he continued to look at the Alps and asked, "Where did you hear that boss's voice go?"

"It's been disappearing for a while." Robin replied, he buried his head and applied the ointment evenly. The cold touch relieved Joel's burns on his leg a lot, but it was already painful.

"Do you know where he went?" Alps turned his head and looked at Joel on the ground.

"That's right." Joel tapped his chin and looked at his lower body. His pants were burned out. In order to apply medicine, Robin cut it with a dagger.

"Uh..." Joel swallowed, and he looked up and found that Alps was looking at him, "Do you have… extra pants?"

"Yes, but no leg armor." Alps walked over as he said, "maybe we can follow the sound to find the bodies of the dead and take some off them." Then he handed Joel a thick folded pants.

"Voice?" Joel frowned. He lowered his breath and listened carefully. He did hear some strange sounds, as if they were fighting, and someone was shouting.

"They seem to be in trouble." Robin, who was rude to apply medicine, shrugged his shoulders. The movements of the slightest and seriousness made Joel's eyebrows twitch continuously, but he himself was completely unconscious, or he didn't care: "If we met them in the past, we would be safe for the time being."

But Joel immediately replied: "There is no time."

"When?" Alps looked at Joel in confusion.

"I drove that monster to the lower level. There was a large area of water in the lower level. If it was there, the monster would not dare to rashly release the damn white light. It was the best time to kill it." Joel replied in a deep voice.

"Indeed, if it is allowed to find another way out, it will be wasted this opportunity in vain." Alps nodded in thought.

"Hey hey hey, are you serious?" Robin on the side showed a look of surprise, and then he looked at Joel, "In your state, are you still going to kill the boss? Are you sure you are not going to die?"

"Robin..."

The Alps wanted to say something, but Robin suddenly remembered something: "Wait, you...you shouldn't be the one who singled out the wanted monster, right?!"

Joel raised his head and looked at the Alps, but before he could say anything, Robin showed his expression as if he was: "You do have some 'methods', right?"

"Robin, not what you thought..."

Alps wanted to explain something, but Robin shook his hand: "Don't explain to me, I don't want to listen to those. I just want to know how much chance you have to win? To be honest, I don't want to follow you to take risks, but if there is indeed a chance to have a great fortune..."

Robin suddenly raised his head and looked into the dark tunnel behind the Alps.

"What's wrong?" Alps also turned around nervously.

"Someone is coming." Robin replied in a low voice.

"I'm sure he is a human?" Alps asked nervously.

"Sure."

Then they saw a little fire appearing in the darkness ahead.

Alps looked back at Robin and Joel behind him, nodded at them, then raised his head and shouted at the ignition light ahead, "Who is where?"

Then the ignition light in front disappeared. Robin quickly picked up the torch beside him and put it back into the "backpack". The fire light around them suddenly decreased by half. Alps also put down the lantern, and then took out the iron shield from the "backpack" with his right hand.

A few seconds after the flames went out, they heard a woman in the darkness ahead asking cautiously: "Who are you?"

After hearing the voice, Joel immediately spoke out: "That's Eleya."

"Aleya?" Alps was stunned for a moment, and then immediately shouted in front of him: "Aleya! I am Alps! I am with Joel!"

"Alps?" they heard the woman exclaim, and then the flame that had just disappeared appeared again. They heard her start to run towards them quickly, and Robin looked at Joel suspiciously, then took out the extinguished torch and put it aside.

Sure enough, when the shaking fire approached, they saw the delicate face and pale blue eyes, and Robin whistled when he first saw her.

"Joel?!" Aleya exclaimed after seeing Joel lying on the ground, and then hurriedly ran over.

"Oh! Wait, wait! Madam!" Robin immediately stood up to stop her, then lowered his voice with a wicked smile, "He is not wearing pants now, he is not in such a beautiful lady."

Aleya was stunned for a moment, with a rare look of shyness on her face, but it was just fleeting. She immediately turned to look at the Alps, and then asked anxiously: "What's wrong with him?"

The answer to her was Joel himself: "I was ambushed by that monster."

Alps added: "Both legs were injured."

"So, can you still move?" She subconsciously looked in Joel's direction, but when she remembered something, she quickly turned her head.

"I have given him a bottle of magical injury medicine. I should be able to move after a little rest." Alps replied.

Robin next to Joel couldn't help but say, "A bottle of magical injury can only barely save his life, right?"

"If it's not enough, I can still get a bottle of 'dwarf elixir' here..."

"Dwarf's Elixir?" Robin behind him let out another scream, "How luxurious are you guys?"

Joel himself had no idea what they were saying. He had never heard of the names of the magic potions in the fairy tales they were talking to, because the magic had disappeared for a long time, and most of the things made by the alchemists according to ancient recipes had lost their effect. However, there have been rumors that mercenaries had saved their lives with that kind of potion, but that was more rumored. More soldiers were willing to spend money on poisons to avoid being captured or seriously injured but dying too slowly.

"No, I don't think so," Joel replied, "I'll get up soon."

"Are you serious?" Robin, who was helping Joel wrap his bandage, looked at Joel, but it seemed that Joel's face was too scary, so he immediately looked away.

"Is it really okay?" Alps next to him asked with concern.

Aleya glanced at the Alps in surprise, and then looked at Joel, but she immediately turned her head: "Don't force it, if it really doesn't work, we can go to Drake."

"No, it's too late." Joel replied hoarsely.

"There's no time."
