Chapter 6 Blood and Fire (2)

Joel didn't even realize it, so he had killed three people. He had never had this strength before. He had this feeling when he was at the city gate before, killing one person cleanly, like a veteran on the battlefield. After coming out of the fortress deep in the snowfield, Joel had this feeling. When he waved his sword, he seemed to be possessed by the Ranger Captain named Lehman.

But at this moment, he couldn't care about this anymore. He used his sword-holding hand to press his shoulders and cut the machete on the bones to hit the bones. The blood-stained blade fell heavily to the ground. The pain made Joel return to reality from the feeling of "Lehman". The bald tall man rushed into the old house, and Hemi and Simoken were also inside. Joel gritted his teeth and rushed in, but the tall man had disappeared, and a pile of straw was lit by candles and smoke began to emerge.

"What's going on?!" A man holding a hardwood stick on the upper floor sniffed the smoke and rushed down the stairs. But just after he stood firm, Joel shot through the chest with a crossbow. Before the man's body fell, Joel strode upstairs and stuffed the crossbow in his hand back into his "backpack".

"Hermi!" Joel shouted as he shouted, although he was close to the river bank, but the old house was extremely dry and filled with flammable straw. "Hermi? Where are you?"

Joel came to the second floor and looked up at five old wooden doors. Joel kicked open the door on his left hand. The wooden table and empty cabinet inside were covered with dust. The smoke and heat from the gap between the old wooden floor brought the dust, causing Joel to cough. "Hermi!" Joel shouted at the top of his throat, "Where are you?!" Then he walked to the second door and kicked the door, but the door lock was still working. So Joel kicked three times, and the wounds on his head and shoulders, as well as the smoke and heat coming downstairs made Joel's head sweat oozing.

It felt like walking on hell. Joel could almost see the firelight downstairs through the gaps in the floor beneath his feet. "Hermi!" Joel could even hear his voice begin to hoarse.

"Mr. Kang Ting!" A familiar voice came from the door behind him, and a cough came from inside. Joel immediately turned around and kicked open the door. The old wooden door fell down with a sound of collision. The loud noise caused the girl and the girl to scream in the corner of the room. The two of them snuggled together tightly, and Simoken's clothes were even torn. "Hermi!" Joel strode into the room after seeing her face.

"Be careful!" Sister Simoken screamed, but when Joel reacted, he had already received a heavy blow on the back of his head. This made Joel feel that his eyes were about to be squeezed out, and he fell forward. No, I can't fall here. Joel had only one thought left in a dizzy state. He stepped on the old board at the last moment before he was about to fall down, and slashed heavily on the old board. The board made an overwhelming creaking sound. Joel had no idea and turned around suddenly. The black sword in his hand cut through the smoke and air without making a sound, but Joel felt the feeling of bones and flesh breaking under his sword.

This blow made Joel almost fall. When he threw himself forward, he held the wall. The things in front of him flickered and darkened. He almost felt that he would faint at any time. He saw dark red blood flowing down the wooden floor to his feet, and thick smoke and fire gushed out between the gaps in the wooden floor.

In the dizzy and choking smoke, Joel saw the fire and blood. Someone seemed to be shouting at him, but he had no idea that he could even help him to the stairs. Every time he closed his eyes, the things in front of him would change.

In a dizzy state, Joel could hardly breathe. He began to cough and retching, but the person who was holding him grabbed him tightly and refused to let go. The flames pounded, and the heat scraped over Joel's face, making him a little clearer. At this moment, he was leaning against the person who was holding him, and Hemi also wrapped his waist tightly around the man's waist. The tip of his nose was itchy, and it turned out that the blood was dripping from the tip of his nose. He raised his head slightly, almost thinking that he was walking in hell.

The flames and smoke danced beside him, as if something was hidden in the smoke, but Joel could not see them clearly. Wherever Joel could see the eyes, blood was burning. Joel closed his eyes again, as if half a century had passed, and he struggled to take a step, and opened his eyes at the same time.

"Don't die...please...don't die..." The man seemed to be crying. After hearing the woman's cry, Joel raised his head and saw her side face.

Elu Joel's lips moved and he silently pronounced the name.

In the smoke and fire, the person who supported him and Hemi was his wife, Alu. She also turned her head and looked at each other. Joel saw a smile on her face, the smile she once showed when he came home every day. I am willing to exchange my life for this smile. Joel endured the pain and dizziness and squeezed out a smile. I am willing to exchange my life for her...

At this time, a broken sound came from the top of his head, and Elu's face disappeared like smoke blown away by the wind, turning into a terrified Sister Simoken with tears in the corner of her eyes. "Mr. Kangting..." Sister Simoken also noticed Joel's gaze.

The heat wave surged from his head. Alu Joel trembled with his feet and supported his body. He surrounded her body, "Hmmy, hug Simoken." Joel said at last.

"Mr. Kangting?" Before Sister Ximoken could react, Joel roared and used his last strength. This force made him feel unbelievable. The wounds hidden in his body seemed to have all cracked again. He tried his best to push Ximoken and Hemi out. At this time, the broken sound suddenly came like a landslide, and the burning beams broke and collapsed. The heat waves, thick smoke, and the screams of women were the last things that Joel realized.

...

Anthony could no longer tell whether the street was filled with fog or smoke. The firelight in the distance made him uneasy. He quickened his pace and rushed over. The guards were left behind by him. The old house in the distance was burning for some reason. It was located near the river, near the church, and this part on the edge of the old city was a troublesome place. As soon as he came to the Golden Falls, Barolwu warned him to keep him away from here. But for some reason, his intuition told Anthony what was going on there.

Anthony walked through the alley, and the "observation" skill told him that there was a rut on the ground. He had been following the rut after he came out of the tavern, but he came here. He came to the bank of the river, and the river water began to darken, and there was gray fog floating on the surface of the river. The sky had turned dark and it was dusk at this moment, but the sun seemed not in the horizon, but in this dilapidated old house, flames soared into the sky.

Anthony saw a man lying in a pool of blood in the corner, not knowing whether he was life or death, but Anthony was more concerned about the fire than this one. He walked forward two steps and smelled a bloody smell. Then he walked forward, through the smoke and fog, he saw internal organs and blood all over the ground, and several corpses fell in the pool of blood. "Good guy!" Anthony covered his mouth and looked forward, and a man was dragging Sister Simoken and Hemi away from the burning old house.

"Mr. Contin!" As soon as Anthony approached, he heard a collapse sound and a woman's cry. Anthony gritted his teeth and accelerated his pace. The man who was holding Sister Simoken and Hemi immediately turned around. He carried a bow and arrow. The light and dark flames made Anthony almost recognize him.

"Flying Fish?" Anthony waited for his face, but without waiting for his answer, he looked at Sister Simoken, who was crying at the burning old house, "Where has Joel been?"

"Mr. Kangting is still inside..." Sister Simoken looked at the two of them in despair, "Please save him... save him..."

Anthony gritted his teeth and rushed directly to the burning old house. He took out the gloves and scarf from his backpack, and then a water bag. He wet the scarf with the water inside and then sprinkled it on himself. "You're crazy!" Feiyu stared at him with wide eyes.

"If you want to come, come, please help! If you don't come, shut up!" Anthony cursed at him viciously, and then rushed into the fire. The heat and smoke almost forced Anthony to retreat, but he still gritted his teeth and rushed in. This was a game, Anthony told himself that it was just a game.

In the hall, the floor was also lit, and the collapsed beams were still burning, crushing the wooden table in the middle of the hall. He saw the man lying among the burning ruins, and the flames were already burning on him, and Anthony almost thought he was dead. "Joel?!" Anthony shouted through the scarf, and Joel's fingers twitched at this moment, indicating that he was still alive.

Anthony rushed up without saying a word and reached his hands under the burning beam. He gritted his teeth and wanted to lift the beam. Even with gloves, the flames were burning his hands. He almost wanted to let go, but he still supported him to lift the beam a little. The sound of the broken wood and the crackling sound of the flames were endless. The collapsed beam had just shown a sign of movement. The wooden board under Anthony's feet made a broken sound. The flames destroyed everything in the old house and had spread to Joel. He was unconscious and was awakened by the flames and roared in pain.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

"Stand!" Anthony also responded loudly, but no matter how hard the beams were, they just moved slightly. The ceiling above her head kept burning and peeling, like the rain of fire in hell. At this time, a figure walked to Anthony's side, and his hands, also wearing gloves, reached under the burning beams.

"Hurry up!" Feiyu roared and raised the beam with great difficulty. Anthony didn't say anything. The two of them blushed and lifted the beam with their faces. The other wooden boards pressed on Joel were also burning, but Joel struggled to climb out of the flames. His pants and the mature leather armor on his body had already begun to burn, and then the flames quickly swallowed him, his hair was also burning, and then the whole face, as if he was covered with oil, the flames were swallowing him.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

"Water! Get out the water quickly!" Feiyu shouted when he dropped the beam of the house. His gloves began to burn, and the floor under the two of them could not hold on. Almost every time they stepped on, they would fall into the ground. The two of them escaped from the old house like crazy, and more burning ceilings fell down.

"Water! Water!" Anthony yelled anxiously and urged himself to take out the water bag from his backpack, but when he raised his head with the water bag, Joel was already shaking forward.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

"Mr. Kang Ting?!" Sister Simoken covered her mouth and looked at the figure in disbelief.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

...

The flame was extinguished by the water, but Joel could still feel the burning feeling. The coldness of the river passed through his burning skin like a dagger and penetrated into his body. He trembled, and breathed out a large breath of air and smoke, and the cold water poured into his lungs.

Joel could feel himself sinking, the flames seemed to burn his soul, and the river water was not saving him, but tortured him in another way. As the continuous sinking, Joel felt that time seemed to be still, and tiny bubbles in the water were floating beside him. In a trance, he thought he had returned to the fire and Mars were flying around.

Continuing to sink, Joel saw countless black hands dancing at the bottom of the river, as if waving to him. There seemed to be flames in his eyes. The dark river embankment made his eyes a little more comfortable, and the cold river water also sootheed the burning pain in his eyes. The black hands turned into tentacles, gradually becoming colored, green and yellow like river mud, and then the tentacles turned into hair again.

It was algae. Joel thought that those tiny bubbles emerged from under them, and the algae danced along the water flow, and suddenly the water flow changed direction again, and the algae changed in the direction of dancing, and then changed again... It was like a vortex, and a vortex appeared in the middle of the algae, and then the "vortex" of the algae gradually raised, and a pale face appeared in the center of the "vortex", which was a face emitting light that could be seen at the bottom of the dark river.

A naked ketone body floated out of the vortex of the algae, and the glowing bubbles circled around her, and her hair was also algae. The algae began to wrap around her, forming a gorgeous costume with the glowing bubbles. It was Mrs. Algae. Joel began to tell him his hazy consciousness.

Mrs. Aquamarine swam towards Joel, and all the bubbles close to her began to emit pearly white light. The algae under her feet reached towards her like a servant's arm. "Riduin." She called out softly, a polite and ethereal voice like a noble lady. She did not speak, but Joel heard her voice.

"Riduin," she called softly again, and then she stretched out her pale and radiant hand and stroked Joel's face, "This shouldn't be where you come."

"My bubbles can't hold your soul," Mrs. Shuila smiled. Joel suddenly forgot that she was a god, "Go back, Ruiduin..."

"The bottom of the water is not where you should come." She raised her hand, and Joel realized that she was floating, but his body felt like a sponge that had absorbed water.

Joel's consciousness gradually darkened. His eyes kept looking at the goddess emitting light at the bottom of the dark river. Gradually, the white light also disappeared, and Joel finally fell into darkness.

And in the darkness around, something seemed to be swimming.

Is it a big fish? Joel thought so before his last consciousness disappeared.

...

Anthony looked anxiously at the seemingly calm river surface. Hemi beside him knelt on the spot, trembling and praying, but her voice was also trembling. The flying fish took off the burning gloves and plunged into the river. Then Sister Simoken jumped down, and her agile figure made Anthony stunned.

But Anthony couldn't swim, so he didn't jump down, and there was someone watching the shore. The river bank was more than three meters away from the river, but there were steps on the embankment. The ladies often came back to the river to wash clothes through the stairs, and those who fell into the water would also get close to it and climb up the shore.

Anthony handed Joel's black sword to Hemi who was kneeling and praying, "Look at this and stay there." Without waiting for Hemi to answer anything, he went down to the bottom of the stairs in three steps and two steps. Now the other guards rushed over and began to help put out the fire. Some people were carrying buckets to go back and forth on the stairs, and the noise made Anthony even more anxious.

Suddenly a string of bubbles floated onto the water. Anthony widened his eyes, and then a man floated to the surface. It was Feiyu. He changed his breath and grabbed the river bank. "I didn't find him!" Feiyu shouted while gasping.

"How is that possible?" Anthony looked at the river. "Has the river washed away? Where is the nun?!"

"I don't know... Woo!" With a thud, the flying fish sank into the water. He struggled in the water. Anthony widened his eyes and grabbed Anthony's hand struggling on the water. The huge force almost pulled Anthony into the water.

"Hey! Please help!" Anthony roared. A guard who went down the stairs to fetch water and put out the fire. He immediately rushed over and grabbed Anthony's clothes and dragged him up. Anthony also pulled the flying fish out of the water. The flying fish spit out a big mouthful of water and reached out to grab the river bank.

"Someone! Someone grabbed my feet!" Feiyu shouted exhausted, "Hurry! Pull me up!" With the help of the guards, Anthony and him grabbed Feiyu's hand and dragged him out of the water. Feiyu saw a pale hand holding Feiyu's ankle tightly.

He ignored the flying fish that started to spit water, grabbed the cold hand and dragged her out of the water. As soon as her face appeared, Anthony recognized it. It was Sister Simoken. "This! Hurry up!" Anthony shouted at the guard anxiously. The white-bearded old guard didn't bother with him. His strong hand grabbed Sister Simoken and dragged her to the shore. Only then did Anthony see that her other hand seemed to be dragging something.

"It's Joel!" Anthony shouted in surprise, and Feiyu, who had already gotten up, joined in to help. The three big men tried their best to finally drag Sister Simoken and Joel to the shore.

"Gods are here!" The old guard exclaimed when he saw Joel at first, but he did not let go of his hand. Anthony and Feiyu looked at Joel with a heavy face. Anthony pushed the Feiyu away, "Go and save the nun, I'll save him!" As he said that, Anthony began to help Joel with heart squeezing and artificial respiration. Feiyu was stunned and looked at the nun, but finally gritted his teeth and imitated Anthony to perform artificial respiration for Sister Simoken.

At this moment, Joel was like a burnt corpse, his hair was burned out, and there was almost no piece of skin on his body. Anthony almost thought he was dead. But he knew that Joel was not dead. He endured the discomfort and squeezed Joel's chest desperately.

Hurry up! Hurry up! Come to live quickly! Anthony almost wanted to shout out.
