The 620th chapter sneak attack (1)
Diao Island.
After several months of intense construction, the Diaoyu Island has become beyond recognition. A large radar station stands on the main peak of Diaoyu Island and begins to be put into use, monitoring every move in the air hundreds of kilometers centered on Diaoyu Island. The most important purpose of this radar station is of course to closely monitor the entry and exit dynamics of the F-22 and F-35 fighter jets at the Naha base of Ryukyu.
This is the most important variable in the return of Taiwan. If the fourth-generation fighter jets at the Naha base of the US military can greatly make up for our army's shortcomings in the fourth-generation fighter jets. Use ground and air early warning aircraft to form a powerful radar network, which can make the fourth-generation aircraft of the US military tightly. With the joint combat system of the Air Force fighter jets, our third-generation aircraft cluster can be used to fight against the fourth-generation aircraft of the US military.
Therefore, this small island with more than 300 kilometers ahead of the mainland has an irreplaceable strategic role in preventing the sudden attack of US stealth fighter jets.
Because of this, when the People's Liberation Army decisively took down the Diao Island in one fell swoop, it immediately started to work hard. When the underwater battle with Japanese submarines was in full swing, it was a hot construction scene. After the Navy Engineers quickly opened a temporary 5,000-ton large dock on the west side of the island, a large number of large-scale mechanical equipment were transported to the island to start large-scale combat preparations.
Even though the Japanese pirates protested every day, there was a fleet of destroyers and submarine detachments cruising near the Diao Island at that time. Japanese pirates who were not ready for war could only protest.
The People's Liberation Army Engineer Corps, which is good at creating miracles, completed its main earthwork operations in about a month. Then, the Duke Dragon project successfully developed the latest Sky Eye-10-meter-wave radar using long-meter wave technology. This new stealth fighter nemesis became the first choice of the military and was first installed on Gaohua Peak, which is west of the island.
This latest domestic meter-wave radar, which embodies Duke's intelligent pattern recognition technology, can effectively undertake the search and alert task of air stealth fighter jets. According to internal test results, the Sky Eye-10 meter-wave radar can effectively detect aerial targets with a range of 500 kilometers, a flight altitude of 100 to 7,500 meters, and a radar cross-section of 0.1 square meters to 0.3 square meters.
This makes the so-called stealth aircraft, including the US F-22 and F-35, unable to hide. Although the air target tracking and position data provided by the Sky Eye-10 radar are not accurate enough, with an error of up to tens of meters and cannot directly guide air defense and air-to-air long-range missile firepower to launch direct attacks, it can effectively detect the enemy's stealth aircraft movements.
With this approximate range, our army can use the Air Guard-2000 early warning aircraft and multi-base ground radar to form a net of heaven and earth to locate the accurate position of the stealth aircraft, and then guide the air fighter cluster or ground long-range air defense firepower to launch an over-visual range attack on the enemy's stealth fighter jets through the theater joint combat tactical system.
In addition to the Sky Eye-10 large meter wave radar, our army also installed the Sentinel-1 radar system on the island, which is a passive detection system for low-altitude penetration aircraft and surface ships. It adopts "passive coherent positioning" technology and can track targets such as aircraft, helicopters, surface ships, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles, and adopts a multi-plane array structure.
Each plane array can cover 105° azimuth, 50° elevation angle, and 60° lateral viewing angle. Using 6 plane arrays can almost achieve 360° full coverage, and the tracking distance of sea-to-air exceeds 200 kilometers. Due to the adoption of the latest successful G2 small aircraft cluster system developed by SAL, this Sentinel-1 radar system can not only track 300 different targets at the same time. If it is linked to digital air defense firepower, it can also command and attack 36 maritime or air targets at the same time.
At this moment, two sets of Hongqi-9b long-range air defense missile systems and six sets of Hongqi-16 short-range air defense systems were installed on the Diao Island, forming a complete air defense system. Hongqi-16 can effectively cover 1.5 kilometers to 20 kilometers and effectively shoot short-range airspace with a height of 10 meters to 6,000 meters, while Hongqi-9b can attack airspace targets with a farthest distance of 250 kilometers and a maximum of 40 kilometers. The combination of the two can effectively prevent missile attacks and air attacks that the opponent may launch.
In order to protect these facilities, the military also invested an elite Marine Corps on the Diao Island, two Marine-10 armed helicopters, as well as a small fleet consisting of a Jiangwei II frigate, two Haiqing-class anti-submarine escort boats and four 022-class missile speedboats. Due to the prominent strategic position of the Diao Island, the military has spared no expense in the defense of the Diao Island.
Diao Island is a strategic treasure for the People's Liberation Army, and isn't it the same for the Japanese pirates and the US military. Since the People's Liberation Army took the Diao Island, the Japanese pirates have long been clamoring to take it back by force. However, because the main force of the US military has failed to move in place, relying solely on the four major guard groups of Japanese pirates, it is already very difficult to defend their local area to the vast sea border of the Ryukyu Islands. The island countries have no depth. Each sea area is a key sea area for the Japanese pirates.
In this case, it would be too difficult to get the Japanese pirates to withdraw a group of guards to retake the Diao Island. However, when the six major aircraft carrier fleets of the US military were in place, the Japanese pirates began to become active, first provoking submarines by harassing and ramming. However, after China quickly improved the sonar system and invented a new tiger shark mini-collision submarine tactic, the Japanese pirates were directly hit and sunk two submarines, and injured more than 10 submarines to varying degrees, they would no longer dare to play this kind of impact game with the PLA submarine forces.
However, at the Haizi Command, a bold plan to attack the Diao Island gradually took shape.
On May Day in 2019, the mainland, immersed in the Little Golden Week, was filled with tourists everywhere. As the preliminary agreement reached for the return of Taiwan, the Taiwan Island completely opened the Taiwan Island tour project, allowing the joyful mainland people to flock to the mainland. Dozens of large passenger ships frequently travel between the mainland and the same Taiwan Island every day. The Taiwanese people who had a little objection to the return, saw that the mainland people were so enthusiastic that the island's tourism economy rose sharply, and gradually joined the carnival of this Golden Week.
No one expected that the second escort group of Japanese pirates, who claimed to go south to conduct joint military exercises with Philippine maids in the South China Sea, suddenly turned around and headed straight to Diao Island when they arrived south to the southwest of the Japanese pirates!
