Chapter 10 The Deepest Longing in My Heart
Christmas is approaching. One morning in mid-December, the Hogwarts School woke up from a dream and found that it was covered with several feet of snow and the lake was covered with hard ice. But the cold weather did not affect Silver's enthusiasm at all - because he had successfully invited the Pettier sisters and Hermione to spend Christmas at his house.
"To be honest, have you been a virgin in your previous life?" Ravenclaw always teased him like this, but Ravenclaw didn't know that her unintentional words hit Silver's point. Silver was indeed a virgin before traveling through time. Of course, she didn't know, otherwise God would know how this old witch with a bad personality would laugh at our poor Silver.
On the other hand, our boy who survived the disaster has not been very good recently. Although Quidditch won the game, Harry was still confused about who interfered with his 2,000 light wheel. Without Hermione's help and guidance, Harry and Ron's judgment on these things was simply a mess, and they were unable to get through the cloning of Hermione's homework as in the original work - the right to copy the homework is now transferred to Silver. The impact of the Trolls incident is indeed great, and Harry and Ron were very unfriendly to Hermione before the Trolls incident. Hermione had a very bad impression of Harry and Ron - they naturally could not form an iron triangle relationship like in the original work. But what does this have to do with Silver? Silver has more things to do.
Silver stopped in front of an extremely ugly and huge stone monster, "Bibi Weiwei Bean!" The monster suddenly came alive and jumped to the side. The wall behind it cracked in half. Behind the wall was a spiral staircase, moving slowly upwards like an escalator. As soon as Silver stepped on it, he heard a rumbling sound behind it, and the wall closed again. The stairs were rotating and rising higher and higher, until Silver felt slightly dizzy, he finally saw a shiny oak door in front, with a brass door knocker in the shape of a lion-headed beast.
"The way the principal's office is so painful. I have to make me dizzy every time." Silver slandered and pushed open the oak door.
This is a spacious and beautiful circular room full of funny little sounds. On the table with long legs, there are many strange silverware, rotating, and spewing out small waves of smoke. The walls are hung with portraits of old men and women, who are all snoring gently in their respective frames. There is also a huge table in the room, with the feet of the table in the shape of claws. On a shelf behind the table, there is a ragged and wrinkled wizard hat - the branch hat.
"Oh, Jack, you're here." The speaker sat comfortably on the wide chair, wearing half-moon glasses, a long, crooked nose, and draped silver hair and beard.
"Professor Dumbledore, as you told me, I will go to the appointment on time." Silver performed a standard wizarding ceremony.
"No need to be polite, Jack, last time thanks to you, Professor Flitvie, told me that someone was playing a slut against Harry during the Quidditch game." Dumbledore said with a smile.
"This is what I should do, Professor." Silver replied politely, "I don't know what the professor asked me to come today."
"I want to ask you what you think about this matter. Who do you think has put a curse on Harry's 2000 light wheel?" Dumbledore asked.
"Although Professor Snape and Professor Quirreau are both suspected of placing curses, it is obvious that one of them is helping Harry, and the other is the real murderer. Otherwise, Harry would have fallen off the broom. Although Professor Snape usually has a bad attitude towards Harry, I think the possibility of him placing a curse is relatively small - after all, Professor Snape has been teaching in Hogwarts for many years, and I believe Professor Snape will definitely not do such a thing. Professor Quirreau just served as the teacher of black magic defense at Hogwarts this year. As far as I know, Professor Quirreau took a year off when he was a student, went to the Black Forest in Albania, and became weird after returning - it was the last place where Voldemort appeared. So I think Professor Quirreau is very suspicious."
"Very great reasoning, Jack Daliss, what do you think?" Dumbledore clapped his hands gently and asked an old witch with long silver-haired curly hanging in the picture frame next to him. The old witch opened her eyes: "Obviously, I have an outstanding junior Ravenclaw."
"Thank you for the compliment." Silver was still very calm, of course he showed childlike excitement at the right time.
"Today I asked you to show you something very wonderful." Dumbledore waved his wand and a very grand mirror appeared on the ground. Its height reached the ceiling, with a golden border, and two claw-shaped feet supported by the feet. The top was engraved with "Erisedstraehruoytubecafruoytonwohsi".
"A very beautiful mirror, oh, I think I heard my father say about this mirror, Eris Mirror - its talisman is read in reverse: What I show is not your face, but your desire in your heart. (Ishownotyourfacebutyourheartdesire.)" Silver stared at the mirror with curiosity.
"I almost forgot that the Silver family is a famous family of magic craftsmen, good at making various magical objects." Dumbledore said with a smile, "This mirror can reflect the deepest desire in people's hearts. It is very magical, but this mirror cannot teach us knowledge or tell us the truth. People waste their time in front of it, obsessed with what they see, and are even forced to go crazy because they do not know whether everything in the mirror is true or whether it is possible to achieve it. But this is for ordinary people. Jack, you have extraordinary wisdom and insight, and also have very strong logical thinking, rational and kindness. Looking at this mirror, you can know more clearly what you want. Don't you want to take a look?"
"Of course, I also want to know what I long for in my heart. After all, the most difficult thing for people to know is themselves." Silver said, slowly walking to the front of the mirror.
Silver covered his mouth in surprise. "Oh, Jack, what did you see that surprised you so much?"
Dumbledore asked. "Well, professor, I think this is hard to say." Silver stammered.
